My 4 y.o. daughter goes to the Okito after school program. She LOVES it, because people are caring and because kids are exposed to educational and developmental activities and are not left to wear themselves out running--like after school programs at most regular schools do. As a parent, I also appreciate how well-organized and thoughtful the program is. Their online notification system is effective, and their drop-off/pick-up operation is something to study in process design books!Truly great people and really great program. My daughter is a fan, and I am too.

Since starting classes a short few months ago, we have seen improvements in our boys focus, determination, and coordination. The instructors do a wonderful job at pacing the class well, catering to each belt level and age student, and communicating with respect and patience.Combined with our efforts at home and in school, I believe our children have gained confidence and self-control through taekwondo. We are so thankful for the Okito family and the community weve made here 🙂

My son and I dont live in Gainesville but ended up here do to my job. After reviewing places and comparing prices, I signed my son up for summer camp at Okito. He and I are both glad I did. The staff is very friendly, informative, and conscientious of the kids safety. My son absolutely loved attending, so much so that he got a bit aggravated if I picked him up too early. Theres no question, I would choose Okito for him again if we ended up back here.

Our son has always struggled with finding something that he likes and that will be beneficial for his education as well as something that would help him to grow as a person. The entire staff has been welcoming, patient, understanding and extremely professional in everything that they have done for our son. They have given him more confidence, and encouraged him to be who he is as a person. I would like to thank each of them, for they might not know me as well, but they have made a huge difference in our sons life.

My son has been attending Okito since May of 2020 and I will say after A lot of hard work and dedication from the counselors , my son is a whole new person he’s getting better grades he’s not having discipline problems like he used to.I am so appreciative of Okito. 100% recommendations

We love Okito America. They have done a great job taking care of the kids during this pandemic. They have great Taekwondo classes and after school program. They also has started dance class this year and the kids love going to dance. My child has confidence and I have seen a change in the school behavior since we started going to Okito. We have been with Okito for about six years. Everyone who works there is caring and helpful. They also make sure to the kids understand that respect, perseverance, and responsibility is needed in life. My daughter loves the after school program. They help with homework and keep the students safe. She also loves to learn Spanish there. They treat the students like family. I highly recommend Okito!

I have been around this program for many years and I can tell you that everyone that works there are amazing in their job. By exceeding expectations in all the the programs that they offer. It is also a really good place for your children to go and learn about integrity and skills that they need for life.

They are very clean, engaged, diverse, attentive, active, affordable, organized, etc. I cant say enough great things about this place. They are so conveniently located, that Im planning on putting him in a couple more weeks and want to do research about how I can make this more permanent than just a summer camp.

My 5 and 3 year old attend the summer camp and take hip hop classes at Okito. They have great protocol in place for preventing any spread of germs, have always been extremely responsive, provide updates throughout the day, usually stop to talk to me about the kids when I’m picking them up and, most importantly, my kids love it. I am very pleased.

I have attended Okito for years, best place in town to do martial arts, summer camp, bday parties and take break dance classes!! Me and my friends always have a blast here. Thank you okito staff for being the best!!

I have my little one here for summer camp and she loves it. She even participates in the dance classes that they provide twice a week. The price is great and despite the struggles of trying to keep kids entertained while places are closed, they have gone above and beyond to figure out how to help and be clean with hand sanitizer and enforcing mask use. My favorite thing the communication app that they use. They send me updates and pictures and they are very quick to answer any questions that I have. The staff is amazing too! Highly recommend and will continue to take my little one there!

Okito America has very patient instructors. They can adjust their instructions to the student from a 5 year to beginner up to black belts. They are also available for questions anytime. During this pandemic they rearranged their format to zoom for online classes so we could keep improving and practicing our skills.

I moved my son Dallas here from a different dojo in Gainesville, and he has a whole new love and respect for martial arts. Before my son started here he used to not have much self control, playing too rough with his friends. But after just a few weeks withOkito America my kid has improved, he comes home talking about skills of the month in example like self control and courtesy, he even was last week also student of the week! thank you for impacting my kid life and thank you for all your hard work!
