I have been Training Here for over 2 Years now, and my daughter has spent almost 2 Years being apart of the Kids Program. My 4 year old Son (whenever his attention span allows) has always been encouraged to Develop his Music Skills!There is not a more Family Friendly atmosphere to be a part of in this town. Moreover, Movement and Music meets Community and Culture in a VERY special way...this is UNIQUE to Capoeira!The Teachers, Mestrando Mico and Graduada Arame have their knowledge and experience surpassed only by their Friendliness and Problem Solving abilities. I cannot recommend this place enough. Everyone is welcoming, kind, and genuinely good company. Mico is a phenomenal person and teacher. Capoeira itself is amazing as an art form- it has truly fed my mind, body, and spirit. Such a fantastic workout and SO MUCH FUN!!

Allied Capoeira League has been a special part of our family. Our daughter attends the after school program and has benefited physically, emotionally, and socially from this program. The team is excellent at getting the kids excited about music, language, and physical activity. Healthy snacks are provided, responsibility encouraged, and personal growth rewarded. Our toddler attends weekly classes as well and sings all the way home!

Amazing place for kids as well as adults. Super nice environment, great students and super helpful (and patient) teachers. I totally recommend it.

Capoeira has been such a fun experience for my kids. They cant get enough of it! I love how Capoeira incorporates language,music and gymnastics along with the martial arts. Professor Mico is an awesome teacher and mentor who respects every child and teaches the kids great life lessons. His passion for the art of Capoeira is infectious! I highly recommend it for any child!

My daughter is 14 and is just wrapped up her 8 week intro to Capoeira and picked up her first cord last month. She is crazy about it!! It is a beautiful Brazilian martial art which incorporates language ( Portuguese), music (instruments and singing), gymnastics, dance and of course martial art forms. Professor Mico is an awesome instructor. His teaching style is one that delivers top shelf instruction but in an easy going atmosphere.

Our family highly recommends Allied Capoeira League. Mico and Jasmine are very friendly and welcoming and are great with kids. The facility is nice and the price is affordable. Our three year old loves the Tot Tumbling and Music class and we love watching him learn and grow through Capoeira.

I joined allied capoiera league a few weeks ago and so far it has been an incredible experience. Capoeira is incredibly challenging, both mentally and physically, but also incredibly rewarding. The people here are like family and the teachers are excellent. There are tons of classes throughout the day as well as an after school / summer camp program for kids. The kids all seem to love the classes and Mico and Jasmine take great care of them :) I cant wait until my next class!

Professor Mico teaches very well. Ive enjoyed his classes immensely. He goes slow, and makes sure you understand the move that you are learning. Asking questions isnt a problem and he very readily answers. He makes class enjoyable and stress free. Professor Mico puts Safety first and helps you with any injuries you might have. I highly recommend him to anyone considering Capoeira

Mico & Jasmine are a amazing couple and they have really made my daughters capoiera experience a success. She absolutely loves it and is getting better at it everyday. Shes more confident and is exercising, learning to play the tall bongo drums, tambourines, acrobats, Portuguese & following directions and respecting others. All around great organization!

I started training capoeira here about 4 months ago and it has been a life changing experience. What is really special about Allied Capoeira League are the owners Mico and Jasmine. I started training here a few weeks ago and fell in love with the place and the style, Mico (the instructor) is friendly, clear, patient, understanding and helpful in his instruction, you can tell he loves what he does and is very knowledgeable of it. The place is clean and airy, a pleasant place to work out, make new friends, and learn about the beautiful art of Capoeira.

Allied Capoeira League Gainesville is the best capoeira out there right now, with great teachers and events. ACL Gainesville is a guaranteed great experience, especially with the new schedule, its a lot of fun. I recommend the 6am class because its a great way to start your day!

Mico and Jasmine have a wonderful after school program. Our 5 year old has been there a month and loves the classes. Mico and Jasmine are friendly, caring and great with kids. Ive been able to watch the classes and you can feel the children learning through capoeira. We couldnt be happier.

Professor Mico is the best!Mico nurtures an interest in learning martial arts, a foreign language and music in his pupils that extends well beyond the Capoeira studio. I didnt know what Capoeira was until I met Professor Mico. My daughter has been doing Capoeira for over 1 year now and loves it more now than when she started. Some people have the gift teach children in a way that they not only listen and learn but enjoy the lesson as well. Professor Mico has that ability. He makes each of the kids feel special by celebrating their individual accomplishments and explaining to them that the ones who fall the most are the ones who are trying the hardest. Hes serious in a goofy kind of way that the kids love. He never singles a child out for not being able to do something but rather encourages everyone to cheer louder in support of those who are struggling.He teaches life lessons along with capoeria- listening the first time- every time, respecting each others space and watching out for one another. Lessons that will stay with them for years to come.My daughter loves his class and looks forward to it. Even after a long, hard day at school shes bouncing around full of energy and excited to give Axe to him and her classmates before learning some cool new moves. She can be very hesitant to try new things but Professor Mico has a way to coaxing her into trying a one handed, upside down kick (which she pretty much nailed thanks to his help!).Im looking forward to watching my daughter become a confident, strong young lady (who can do those one handed, upside down kicks In her own!) over the years with Mico.

I tell people wherever I go about capoeira and about what a special place the Academy is. Professor Mico teaches important attributes of being a good capoerista that are also just as good outside class. I trust Professor Mico with guiding my son and bringing out the best in him.
