My 7 month old has blossomed here. David is an excellent teacher and so attentive to each family. His classroom is always spotless and he goes above and beyond making sure each instrument is throughly sanitized after each session. I have also enjoyed learning how important music is and the positive impact it has on the developing child’s brain. I definitely recommend checking out one of his classes for yourself.

Tonewood has been such a great experience. Mr. David is awesome. He is friendly, great with the babies, professional and you can tell he is so passionate about what he does. He shows up every week with a contagious enthusiasm.The class offers a great variety of musical exercises: instrument of the day, a variety of instruments to the let your child choose from, dancing, sing-a-long, etc. Mr. David also prepares you to take the lessons home and incorporate them into your everyday life so that your child continues to develop musically. Its very engaging for the babies and so fun to watch them learn more and more each week.As a first-time parent to an infant who was born during the pandemic, its been hard to find fun, social, safe and educational activities for her to participate in. We appreciate how clean everything is, that all adults are masked and all instruments are sanitized after each use. It allows the little one to get the full experience while not worrying about her being exposed to covid (or other viruses) as her underdeveloped immune system grows.We will continue to enroll her in classes each semester as she grows and works her way through all the programs.

Tonewood is one of Gainesvilles gems. We have attended semesters for the last 3 years, and its the first program I wanted to enroll my infant son in. My daughter has attended from 3 months to 3 years and still enjoys class. Especially now that she gets to share in the song and dance with her baby brother. We love it so much we attend TWICE a week, so that the baby can have his own time in the baby class held Fridays. The studio has always been very clean. We enjoyed holding her first birthday party there. Mr. David is the height of professionalism and clearly has a passion for sharing his love of music and making music education fun. He has put in effort in every detail. A clean place to change diapers, a childs toilet seat for the toddlers, multiple hand sanitizer stations, cubbies to keep things out of reach of the kids during class, materials and instruments thoroughly cleaned after each class. For 3 years, Mr. David puts on a show in class EVERY WEEK, leaving the kids delighted and ready for nap after class.

Very rude, very political, very unprofessional. I call to schedule my child for a class. I asked if mas ks are required or if it was okay to bring my smiling face. Then the owner jumps on my little question, starts shoving his political views onto me over the phone... and he said some very awkward things about children too. Creep. I was just very confused as to why he was getting into all of it. I was like “ I didn’t ask for your politics I just wanted to sign up for a class...” and he just kept going on and on about why kids should all be va ccin ated . And I didn’t want to fuel the fire so I just didn’t respond but I didn’t know how to make him stop yapping. It kinda left me in shock.

What a special place this is. Mr.David is a very talented teacher! The music classes are fun and the kids integrate the songs and games in their everyday play. I also took the Guitar for Grownups in tandem with the kids class. Now when I play for my kids they think I’m a rockstar even though I am a total beginner. This place is the epitome of value for money. You get so much for what you pay for.

Tonewood is the only place in Gainesville that non walking children can enjoy. The teacher is very passionate and it shows.
