My daughter and I love The Rock School! People are always asking us if we like the school and our answer is always the same...a resounding YES! This has been one of the best decisions that I have ever made concerning my daughters education. My daughter will graduate this year, it is bittersweet for us. The teachers and the staff at The Rock School are among the Best of the Best! If you are looking for a quality school, a quality education, and an amazing and qualified group of teachers, look no further...you can find it all at The Rock School!

Wrote this January 2017: Wanted a more secure and better environment for my children. Found it in The Rock School. Our family drives 75 miles to attend and it is worth it. Best decision I ever made. After 8 years, my oldest daughter, a senior, thanked me for making the decision to switch schools. When we started she was sad, thinking she was going to miss prom and other school activities that a smaller school could not provide. But in the end, The Rock School offered her so much more. She attended events like Leadercast, took an Archery class, and today she is flying home from a missions trip in Honduras. As a mother, the one thing I noticed most about what the Rock did for my child is that she has the ability to talk and feel comfortable having a conversation with adults. Every student is capable of picking up a microphone and speaking in front of a crowd. I find that amazing! Imagine how these kids will approach the real world. They should step in easy thanks to the Rock School.

This is the second year that our four children have attended The Rock School. All four of them LOVE it. It really was a great decision for our family to attend. Besides having great sports programs they offer all of the extra curricular activities that my kids love. I have been very happy with the education that they have offered the children but more then that they are teaching character development and reinforcing what we are teaching the kids at home. I cannot say enough good about The Rock School. Since we started going last school year about four other families from our church have started sending their kids there and have all loved it! Thank you teachers and administration for taking good care of our children.

I love The Rock School!!! We live in Lake City and I have 3 boys that attend school here. I drive them to school every morning as there is nowhere else I would rather they be. I know that when I drop them off each morning, I never have to worry about them or what they may be exposed to. I take comfort in knowing that they are safe and cared for each and everyday and that they are learning! The teachers and staff genuinely care for them and do an outstanding job of helping them develop as students and as individuals. From the Leadership team down to the many volunteers, everyone at The Rock is wonderful and caring and because of this, there is no other school I would rather have my children attend.

My daughter began attending the Rock School in 8th grade. We had been homeschooling up to that point and decided it was time for a change. Middle school is perhaps the most difficult time to enroll your child into a more traditional approach to education, so we knew we didnt want to place her in a public school.After evaluating several options, with some reservations, we enrolled her in the Rock. She absolutely flourished! Whatever reservations we had, evaporated by the end of the first year. One major concern we had was her progression in Math. Her teacher recognized it immediately and took extra time out of her schedule to set up a plan for my daughter’s success. Upon her graduation, not only had my daughter received straight A’s for her five years of Math, but also went on to tutor several grade school students in the subject she once struggled with.The extra-curricular opportunities were another outlet that enabled my once somewhat shy daughter to grow. Drama, forensics with speech and debate, student government, and even internships her senior year all paved a way for her academic maturity and excellence. As a recent graduate, the connections she made in High School opened doors she would have never been afforded in any other setting.Everyone from the teachers, to the administration, including the Headmaster, take personal interest in your child’s growth and development both as a student and as a person. Our daughter continues to benefit from guidance and direction she received, setting her on a path to even more successes as she uses the experience and tools she gained from the Rock. If you’re looking for an educational environment that will not only challenge your children, but provide the personal “hands-on” care necessary to succeed, then look no further than the Rock.

Our son attends The Rock School for the first time this year and we couldn’t be happier. Amazing teachers and staff with kids that are learning more than just book work. We are so happy we found this place and haven’t had a second thought since starting. The service projects, chapel, praying, school lessons and yes sports are all wonderful but it’s so much more!Feeling blessed

We have two children at Rock now. My wife and I feel so fortunate to have a school like this to send our children to. An incredible group of fine teachers who care deeply for the holistic development of the students they have. Dynamic, long-tenured leadership in the school with a vision of outstanding student learning experiences and high levels of engagement. The school helps students move beyond just their own academics (which are outstanding) into the world around them- helping them thrive in community service, creative thinking and preparation as lifelong learners. If I could give a sixth star - I would!

I am very happy with the academics and the culture at The Rock School. The focus is on academics and the integration of faith into the students daily lives, while providing them with tremendous opportunities in and outside the classroom. Our family is Catholic, and the nuances of our faith are treated with tremendous respect and support. As a parent, I feel I am also treated with respect and my concerns are addressed quickly when they occur. I would recommend the school to anyone who is looking for a faith-based education for their children.

I have four children at the Rock, two in middle school, and two in elementary. This is our first year and we are very pleased. Previously we were homeschooling so I was nervous about the transition to a school environment. We are very happy with the administration and the teachers. There is good communication between parents and teachers. I especially appreciate the integrity and kindness that is modeled for my children. We are big fans of The Rock!

My daughter loves it at the Rock School. She has met many great friends and loves her teachers. Being a military kid she is use to going to different schools every year but she absolutely loves coming back each year. I am now looking into the preschool for her brother.

The Rock School is truly an amazing place. It’s so rare to find such an incredible staff that are so dedicated to educating our children and at the same time so truly passionate about imparting a Godly worldview. This school has touched our lives in so many amazing ways. Keep up the good work!

This is our first year having a student at The Rock, and the experience has been very positive. Our child is learning so much and we feel comfortable sending him to such a safe and nurturing Christian environment every day. And, the administration is very transparent and communicative about events at the school. We would highly recommend The Rock School to anyone!

My niece and nephew attend this amazing school. Their commitment to excellence is unmatched, and the students begin very early on to develop a Biblical world view that will serve them well in the years ahead. The office manager is pretty spectacular, too!

My husband and I are very grateful for The Rock School! It has been an enormous blessing to our family. Our children are safe, happy and growing spiritually as well as academically. The teachers, administration, staff and coaches are all outstanding!

Amazing teachers and environment for learning. Curriculum is challenging and appropriate for grade levels, elementary to high school sports are great and children can grow in their faith everyday.The administration at The Rock is like nothing Ive experienced, so professional and fair. We will be a part of The Rock school for a long time!

The Rock School is a great school as an alternative to Public school. I researched private schools in the area and asked around and this school got rated #1 from everyone. My 14 year old has been here for 2 years now and is excelling in all his classes. We live in Hawthorne which is 45-50 minutes away, but well worth the drive to give your child quality and Christ centered education. If you care about your child being well informed, nurtured and receiving a biblical world view, than this is the place to be. The school is clean and homey, and the teachers are excellent. The public school system is a nightmare and I would never subject my child to its enviroment ever again.

We have been extremely pleased with The Rock School! The teachers and administration make every effort to ensure students have an outstanding education as well as a positive learning environment. One of our daughters graduated from The Rock School and the other still attends high school there. Both love their school!

The Rock School has been my second home 12 years. I’m sad to say I graduate this year because I love the school/church! The school is best because they hire the BEST teachers.

We moved here 2 1/2 years ago from TX and were thrilled to find The Rock School! Our son started in Kindergarden and is now in second grade. He’s been reading fluently for a year, loves doing math for fun and loves Jesus deeply. We couldn’t love it more! Tuition is also lower than other private options. 👍

My children have been at TRS for 9 years. The teachers love my children and care about their present and their future. My children receive an excellent academic instruction in a loving but firm environment. I cant imagine a better environment for my family.

My daughter transferred to this school in the last semester of her senior year due to bullying at another Christian school in Gainesville. I was worried about the transition and whether the other students would be welcoming. My worries were unfounded and I only wish I had transferred her earlier. She had a wonderful experience. The students were friendly and included her in activities. The teachers were helpful and accessible. She even auditioned and got a part in the spring play. Overall a great experience.

I was a student who went to the rock and I choose to remain anonymous. A lot of the teachers there are really uptight, for example I wont be surprised if this comment gets blocked or whatever because of how far their heads are up there you know what. On a side note the school teaches that evolution is a hoax, so thats fun. All in all, dont take your kids to this school unless you want to brainwash them.

My family has been so blessed by this school. It literally was an answer to our prayers. My child loves it! I couldnt ask for more. Im in this town because of this school. 👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

I love TRS! My little ones are in K3 and Nursery and their teachers are the best!! They truly love and care for them and teach them about the love of Jesus every day! I would not put my little ones in any other preschool!

I homeschooled my son for kindergarten, but felt ready to send him to school for first grade. I visited many, many schools (including our local public school) and nowhere felt like Home as much as the Rock school. From the moment we interviewed with the principal, to stepping into the classroom on the first day, we felt welcomed and like our son was important and loved. He has flourished and is doing SO well. I am impressed with how much he has learned, and his teacher is so wonderful! We feel completely at peace with our choice and can’t wait to send all our kids there when they are old enough!

If the commute were not two hours each way, my own children would attend TRS!

We transferred our high school and middle school daughters from a public school environment to The ROCK School this past year and we could not be happier! We love the smaller school environment, the Christian philosophy, the low drama and the way the schools teachers, students and parents just feel like family. We were a little concerned about making a switch at the 8th and 10th grade level when so many friendships had been made over the years at their previous school, but my girls quickly made new friends (even my shy child), have adapted superbly (both doing better academically) and actually look forward to going to school each day! We could not be more pleased with The ROCK School and our transition.

My daughter has been going to TRS since Kindergarten and she’s in 6th Grade now. The teachers are the best..challenging and caring. She has made such good friendships. And I love that they get to talk about Jesus in school!!

Enrolled my 2 yr old in preschool 8 yrs ago, no regrets, she is now a successful 5th grader, The Rock School has provided faithful, caring, structured, high education standards, in a learnable environment by the most caring teachers that are more like family. 6 years ago moved my son from public middle school and he went from being retained and failing grades to succeeding and graduating, with a heart for God and kindness to others. God is Good, and this school is full of His goodness.

I have two daughters in 6th grade and this is our first year at The Rock School. With our oldest children well out of UF we have experienced many of the different schools Gainesville has to offer. We have tried to select schools that work well with our childrens educational and emotional needs and so they have attended local Montessori, magnet, public, and private middle schools over the years. This is our first religion based school. Both our girls absolutely love it and their enjoyment has encouraged both of them to work hard on their academics. Middle school can be a trying time for any child and to have our girls come home happy every day is the best testament I can think of to the learning environment that they offer at The Rock School. It is a remarkable place.
