Have been attending classes for about two months and very happy with this school. Master Kim is personally very capable, and teaches every class himself. He emphasizes respect and focus during training, but overall is very patient and warm. Very family friendly atmosphere—many parents attend alongside their kid(s). 1st-3rd degree black belts student I have seen seemed very competent: they knew their patterns inside and out, were crisp in their movements, and able to perform high difficulty spinning jump kicks and breaks.

My entire family (2 adults and 2 children, ages 3 and 8) joined this school a few months ago because my son wanted to learn Taekwondo. We typically go to 2-3 lessons each week, but we would seriously go every day if our schedules permitted, because all of us LOVE and look forward to Master Kim’s classes. My kids get super excited whenever they change into their Taekwondo uniform! A few things I really like about the school are scheduling flexibility as there are multiple classes offered each day, Master Kim’s excellent teaching and his ability to work with children, and the fact that my husband and I aren’t the only parents in any classes we attend. 😄. Going to Korean Martial Arts School has become a fun, healthy, and a special bonding time for my family! Highly highly recommend to both adults and children!!!!

I have been exercising with my son for two month now. I am a 44 years old man and doing this again 32 years after I got a black belt when I was young, just for my son. Below are the summary on this place. This place...1. Is very good for the family members all together. This promotes the good relationship between me and my son. Same thing will happen to you. I see other family members also look very happy by doing this together.2. Gives a goal and and its achievement to us. I and my son started from a white belt, and after certain time and test, I got a yellow white belt. When we got a new belt from a master, its contentment was very good. The same thing goes on and on.3. Teaches an attitude toward the practice and other people. The master teaches me and my son to respect the martial art, the master himself, and other people in case. I see that my son is learning from that. ( My son has ADHD little bit.)4. Is very cleaned and has enough space to practice all together.Hope this article help you find this Korean Martial Arts well.

My son and I have both attended Master Kims classes for around six months thus far. We enjoy the culture and tradition of Korean Martial Arts and theres nothing I love more than spending time with my son at Taekwondo. This school is very family friendly with new parents and their children joining more often. Id highly recommend Korean Martial Arts (Taekwondo) for adults who wish to get fit and/or parents who wish their kids to learn discipline.

I go here and i don’t suggest bringing your kids here unless you have tons of money to waste. other than that this place is a scam. the teacher is nothing but money hungry and i havent learned anything here other than basic forms. do not come youll get ripped off!!

This is a great school!! My two children love the instructors and the grand master. They are learning not only a martial art, but also the discipline and value of working on something worth earning. They also get a chance to socialize with adults and kids, and physical fitness is stressed. My children enjoy it so much, we come from Frederick to Gaithersburg on Saturday for class.

Classes at Korean Martial arts are great! I love the instruction and the in-depth knowledge I receive every time I step into the school. As a continuing student of Taekwondo, its been challenging and rewarding. As a new student to the art of Hapkido, its been a fun and rewarding experience to take on a whole new martial art form. I love the practical application and the emphasis on boosting students confidence that I continually see our instructors carry out.

Grandmaster Kims resume speaks for itself with mastery of 3 Korean martial arts disciplines. I go there to train and help teach on Mondays.

This place is truly a gem! As of writing this review, my kids have been enrolled in Taekwondo at Grandmaster Kims Korean Martial Arts dojang in Gaithersburg for roughly half a year. Aside from obvious improvements in physicality, Ive seen my childrens confidence levels increase, as well as their abilities to focus and follow directions. Naturally, that carries over into the rest of their endeavors.Grandmaster Kims credentials speak for themselves, but what I can add here is that he is *TERRIFIC* with children (as are his assistant instructors). The atmosphere is safe and family friendly, the training is top-notch, and the prices are quite reasonable for the DC metropolitan market. I believe that most folks--especially those with prior exposure to the martial arts--will quickly recognize that this environment is both authentic and a privilege to train in.I full well intend that my kids grow up to comport themselves as ladies and gentlemen, and for me, martial arts training is a key piece of that puzzle. Grandmaster Kims school provides a one-stop-shop solution for it: In addition to Taekwondo, instruction is provided in Hapkido and Kumdo, offering a diverse set of skills for students to acquire as their training advances and their personal tastes evolve. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, were here for the long run.If any parents reading this review are on the fence about enrolling their youngsters at Korean Martial Arts, Id recommend that you go ahead and take the plunge. Id be stunned if you were disappointed.
