This church is beautiful and the grounds are always well kept. The bathrooms are big and clean. Great place for mass or to go for a walk. They have a beautiful memorial for all the victims of covid-19.

I didnt have change to be inside this Cathedral, but the outside is breathtaking. 😍

Absolutely breathtaking, mind-blowing, never-before-seen, out-of-this-world, life-changing, awesome, amazing, superb, magnificent, mega, hyper, incredibly awesome architectural marvel. Formerly known as the Crystal Cathedral, and now Christ Cathedral, this is something to behold and experience first-hand. Photos dont do it justice.

A very peaceful and calm place. It has a towering glass building in the front and houses a statue of St.Joseph holding Baby Jesus. The interior is beautiful and has a massive organ(One of the largest in the world). It used to be called Crystal Cathedral and got recently renamed.

Beautiful Catholic Cathedral. A great place for prayer. The entire campus is a very nice. The garden and arboretum are beautiful as well.

Such a beautiful church with amazing architecture. Centrally located services are being processed outside under a tent . Parking is available and they do have clean restrooms to use

They did an excellent job of converting this to a Roman Catholic church. Beautiful Cathedral. Re: acoustics- very good for concerts but not for sermons, monologues and speeches. Too much echo. Restrooms inside cathedral are hard for the physically challenge. Altar is not high enough to see the priest. Very good ventilation. air con is excellent. Need more organization during communions.

The best place to be in peace and in contact with God, I love it.

Christ Cathedral is a prestigious Christian organization and faith. They have a wonderful organ and beautiful sanctuary.

It is very beautiful and magnificent church, even it still under constructions. The great place to worship, and enjoy the beauty of it..you could even have your picture taken in here too , better yet even your wedding ceremony ( must be Catholic) because the ceremony would be performed by the priests. We came here for the mid night mass on the Christmas Eve . It was so beautiful and this Church was packed with the faithfuls . Merry Christmas to everyone.

What a great find for me! My husband knows how much I love architecture so he surprised me by bringing me here to show me around.The Crystal Cathedral is very unique and well worth your visit. And its FREE. The unique part about it is that its one of those modern churches made entirely of glass including the bell tower. The Crystal Cathedral also has a big pipe organ. The architecture and statues around the grounds are truly amazing. Even the cemetery was unique with beautiful landscaping.Visited May 2016

My dad and I used to watch the show in Connecticut decades ago. It was the only church I remember him following. I hope that little bit of faith left him with peace in death. Love you!

Incredible view from the outside, I would love to see the inside. Unfortunately closed today to the public. There is a lot of land surrounding this beautiful CATHEDRAL. This CATHEDRAL is famous in CALIFORNIA because it has been the spiritual center for all Christians in the Garden Grove & Orange counties. Thank you GOD for the opportunity to visit this Holy 🙏 site. Crystal Cathedral its a must see place. Magnificent, reflective glass building and beautiful surroundings with many sculptures depicting biblical stories. In here, many years ago, I had the pleasure to watch The Glory of Easter, show of living pictures. It was an incredible experience.

Majestically beautiful inside and outside...*** Update: their website is a joke. It hardly reflect any change on time. Even during the Holy Week, mass time is not updated... why?

The restrooms were awesome. The chimes are outstanding. It smells wonderful. Plenty of places to sit.

Had an opportunity to perform there in 2013. Such a blessed time. Piano sound was beautiful and entire Hall gave me atmosphere of peace

Christ (Crystal) Cathedral in Garden Grove has an interesting history as a evangelical church which went broke and has now been taken over by the Catholic Church. The main building is a gorgeous all glass design (hence the name). Reflective setting.

This Church is a Catholic Church now before it was Christian and the name is Christ Cathedral.There is a school in the premises and a Cultural Center and a Gift Shop and beautiful gardens. So lovely.

As a Catholic worth attending a Mass. Very nice Mass, plenty of seating.

One of the most modern Catholic Church campuses I have ever seen.

The exterior ground is spacious, massive and modern. Unfortunately we came in today and the church was still closed so we couldn’t see the interior.

We were there during Christmas. It is typical American, even during the mass they presented a show like angels flying around above us.

This school and parish has changed or fired administrators every year and it is my personal belief that nobody with any type of conscious would want to be affiliated with this organization after they found out whats what. The quality of the education of CCA is subpar compared to other schools, even public. The new principal has to be the worst yet and needs to be fired and not be allowed to work around children ever again. I have heard too many horrible stories about her and the way children are treated. this is unacceptable! This place is cult like.. The kids aren’t even allowed in the “nice church” Flashy LED signs for Jesus huh? this church is tacky , predatory on the Vietnamese community, and an evil corporation who took $24 million tax payer dollars during a pandemic and all you see is homeless and hungry victims of the economy walking by it. Very classy Christ Cathedral. Jesus was a humble and giving person who would have never let you do this under disguise of His name.

Absolutely beautiful Cathedral! Used to come here often when I was young since I only lived 20 minutes away. The modern architecture is out of this world. I dream to play on that pipe organ one day. Anyone that is visiting the area must swing by to see how incredible this place is. It is totally opposite than the historical Cathedrals here in France.

I visited to see the Sistine Cathedral exhibit and it was most definitely worth my time. The admission is very reasonable and the staff is really helpful and informative. I recommend it to anyone in the area.

I think churches are beautiful and for the most part the people who go are nice. I give one star because of those obnoxious loud bells in the tower. They ring every hour for 12 hours and the sound travels far.

Need to lighten the burden of God people financial of generations to come . Also Know the Truth Example of One came TO SERVE and not to be served.It needs lots of work, support, and infrastructure in FAITH with LOVE to the community of Christ. Most of all is the transparency of the Truth Work of LOVE in His Name; no covered up, looked away, silent, and injustice. For all people are important, doesnt matter a priest or a faithful person. WE ALL ARE THE CHILDREN OF GOD. Not every priest is the priest of Christ, as the same, not all the people are the faithful people of God.If the priest(priest, bishop, cardinal, and Pope) is the image body of Christ, then the faithful people are the blood of Christ. For no Life of the body without the blood itself. If the priest is the Word of Christ, then people are the LOVE of Christ. If the priest is the Foundation of Christ, the people are the cornerstone of God Temple through Christ. We all been called to be His Children with Christ. Through the Truth work of FAITH and sweat of LOVE will bring fruitfully to the HOPE of Christ, our Faithful children of generations to come. If the priest neglected the role of consecrated life in, with, and through Christ then they are the one that condemns and crucify Jesus Christ. Remember you, the priesthood, are son of men through the Son of Man. As for the Faithful people, you must keep (observe and Live) the Commandments truthfully. The TRUTH communion you will receive through a unity of FAITH with LOVE in the Father Glorious Hope to come. So let us restore the House of God for us in His Name we glorify.Amen.

The Crystal Cathedral, now the Catholic Cathedral, becoming Christ Cathedral is a very beautiful garden ,mortuary , office space , and meeting place for a large groups of people. My Aunt Pat Chase was a faithful viewer and an Eagle member, and Sparrow donation member while being a strong faithful Catholic Christian. I was at the Cathedral for the first viewing of Finding Jesus, and was told that all the peoples memorial stepping stones around the Cathedral are going to be removed and put in a separate area along with all those beautiful out door statues in the garden. I think that would be a big mistake, those are the original contributors who help establish the beautiful Cathedral and gardens that we see today. They should all be left were they are as to honor those who believed in the mission of the Crystal Cathedral, which was to spread Gods word in a world that so definitely needs God and a positive attitude about living the Christian life.

I found my stay to be very comfortable and welcomeing. The staff was wonderful. Security was very polite and friendly. It is close to great restaurants and shopping. I will stay here again and recommend for a nice get away.

Beautiful church and campus. Still under renovation but a fun stop if you like visiting beautiful gardens and landscapes. If you are a lady you must visit the ladies bathroom.

I came here for the first time before it was Catholic. Had a very nice tour of the whole complex. I would love to come here for Mass now that the Catholic Church has taken possession of it.

On one of our many annual visits to Disneyland we would pass by this glass church.  One year, we decided to stop in and see what the church was about.Walking the grounds you could tell that it was well manicured and with huge bronze size statutes all over the yard with fountains that gave you the sense this church had a lot of extra cash to spend.I heard rumors they were having financial troubles or something to that effect.  The day we visited the church they said they were doing renovations to the church, both inside and out.We were able to walk inside, however brief, because we were told that we were not allowed inside because there wasnt a service being held?  Wow, really....At the time, I really couldnt see how they were going to seat anyone inside with all the scaffolding and tarp all over the place!  Years later I understood why.Its kind of sad that the church went into bankruptcy but my take is that the people in charge of the money, used it for their own gains all those years until the inevitable occurred!

I love this gigantic glass building and I wish it was a Catholic Cathedral. In 2013, I was thrilled that it finally became part of Catholic diocese of Orange. I know it was Gods will that it became part of the Catholic worship place.

Beautiful place all i can see wrong is the white DG by the front entrance i dont think look that good evre time i walk by make me thirsty so dryBeyond that i think is beautiful you may ask the designer whats wrong why that color of the ground (DG Decompose granite)

So terribly disappointed that it is under construction and fenced off! Couldnt see the interior well, and the glory was stripped as they are gutting the building for renovation. I bussed for 3 hours for this (pardon the crazy dedication of an architecture student...) Still, the grounds were beautiful to walk on. Kind of peaceful and nice.

Former Chrystal Cathedral. If you never attended Schuller lavish extravagant Christmas celebrations, here your chance to explore Orange County Diosease obtained Cathedral. They won over Chapman university who also was bidding to buy several years ago. They have docents leading tours which gives you a little glimpse of what happened to Schuller his hundreds of millions dollars and his family dynamics. I went to tour in 2014 while Christ Cathedral was going through measure massive renovation. They have lots of events and found many ways to boost their revenues, which Schuller, who died in humble Government running facility / how crazy it is for the man who was admired all over the world, mingled with presidents and top of the society to have such a sad ending/ in 2015, failed. Btw his own family opened GoFund me page to get $3000 for his funeral!🤔👿😠. Guess, who picked up the bill? Orange County Diosease! His son still preaches in nearby small Christian Church with steady amount of older and elderly following. If you missed recent even about Jesus Shroud, you can see ongoing exhibit featuring Michelangelos Sistine Chapel - reproduction of 16th century frescos, full sized renditions of ceiling panels and Last Judgement fresco. Its beautiful! You can walk around vast campus nicely maintain grounds, reflecting pools, stations of the cross, see welcoming center /waste of $ 20 millions of Schullers money during financial crisis , which was a final nail for struggling Crystal Cathedral/.

Beautiful architecture- but I agree that money could have been used to help the poor- the Catholic church has the same GOLD churches in Mexico and all the poor people living around them- very sad! And we are not ALL the children of God- only those people who have accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior.

There was a time that The Hour of Power was broadcasted on Dutch television every Sunday morning. So, when we were traveling south of LA on the I5 during our road trip, we took an hour or two to visit this place. And its worth a visit! The enormous glass bulding is impressive and as an engineer Im interested in the roof construction. They did not use any pillars inside the church and the large doors can be opened and closed in no-time. Make sure to visit the bathroom here; youll be surprised!

Very hard to reach. Like contacting any big corporation. When I was a kid I greatly enjoyed this place, and they were easy to reach. I am just trying to find my father where my brother should be buried.

30 feet from a multimillion dollar cathedral being built was a homeless woman, picking up trash, her hair falling out from a terminal illness no doubt. God is not here, these are thieves only wating to line their pockets. The house of god is within you, not some expensive church that cant even help its community

Id have to say that this building is pretty great and spacious if you asked me. But it looks cool, so who cares right.
