Hands down best trucking school in the city. I was able to pass my CDL skills and driven test on my first try at the DMV. I recommend this school to everyone. The staff is friendly and are always there to help. From talks with other students, many of them have came from other schools because of one reason or another. If you give it your all and study your inspections, ask questions whenever you’re unsure, and give it your all you too can be successful in taking out your Class A. Feel free to ask the school any questions before applying, Maricruz will go ahead and help you out and give you a quick tour of the school.

Had a great experience at this school! The instructors helped me out without any hesitation any time I needed guidance and help. I also built some nice camaraderie with all of the other students who were on the same goal as I was. MTA is a great trucking school. The instructors are all young and well experienced plus they are very patient. The office staff is friendly and they all want you to succeed. They teach you all the skills required to pass the DMV test including all the inspections and street driving. They will set up your DMV appointment for you and you will have the use of their truck and chassis for up to 2 tries. Overall I had a great experience with MTA and I’m glad I found them. I highly recommend this school.

Great school great instructors. Because of the huge influx of drivers all schools are gonna be packed I realized that when I talked to some other schools around. These people are fair and let you know exactly what you need to do pass. The trucks are in ok condition but honestly I prefer it that way so I can have a wider variety of experiences with different trucks. No guarantee that your job will have you use the same truck daily. If you do good by them theyll do good by you. Plus Mary Cruz is like the best at getting you set up with all your DMV appointments. You could definitely choose worse than this place.

I just earned certificate from MTA. It was tough time but they taught me like family. I failed two times in DMV test but finally I passed at last attempt. Im very happy now and I recommend MTA every person who really want trucking job.

The school is pretty good, they give you 2 months for 2k thats more then enough time to study, they also get appointments really quick compared to other schools i recommend to focus a lot on inspections because if you dont you wont even make inside the truck when you take the test and that is pretty humiliating

My experience with MTA Trucking Academy was amazing! At this school you will find staff that will guide you through the process, instructors that have great knowledge and commitment to their students. This school provides you with an 8 week program. I was able to finish it a week early and by receiving my CDL Class A before the 8 week program ended. Their flexible schedules made it easier for me to work around my busy schedule. One of the best investments that Ive made. i Highly recommend this school! They give you a private tour of their school, yard, and trucks.

I started here in November 2020 with zero experience in trucking. On my very first day I was behind the wheel learning reverse and all inspecting components required by the DMV to pass your test. The instructors at the time were very good and patient. They all answered all my questions with great confidence in their knowledge. I did notice a few days before I finished my 8 weeks most of them had left the school for unknown reasons and new instructors came in to replace them. Cant say much about them since I didnt get to experience class under their instruction. The DMV closed for a few weeks due to covid around mid-December so my appointment got pushed back a few weeks. That was a bit frustrating but it was out of their control. Overall my experience here was good. I passed my test and got my Class A license first try mid-February after learning everything this school taught me. Id recommend it. My only advise is get to know the instructors so youre comfortable asking them anything you may be doubting. Worked for me!

Come to MTA, youll get your license almost guaranteed, from the office staff that genuinely care and want you to get your license. To the staff at the yard, who will answer the dumbest questions you may have they will get you what you need to know. I had so many doubts that I would be able to get my license, but they made it extremely easy, as long as youre willing to put in work on your part. All around i dont have any remarks and only good things to say about this school, you dont need to look any further come to MTA!

I started on MTA. August 27 and on Dec 2 I passed my driving text at the DMV Thanks to all the instructors, Brian , caveman, night , Dakota! They did a great job also Maricruz in the office ! My personal advise is if you will sign the contract with the achool I strongly recommend you to try to get you Permit before so when you start you just focus on inspection and skill ! Great place to come learn how to drive a truck its really close by administrative staff was really friendly and the instructors we’re real cool. Everything was hands on and there was hardly any classroom time. The lot they have you train on is pretty similar to the dmv’s

Despite many trucking schools in San Diego, I was driving all the way to MTA trucking school to get my CDL class A. They don’t charge you too much or ask you to pay upfront. They are more practical and I like their working style. I got my License in less than 1 and a half month. One of the best trucking schools out there. They care about you and help as much as possible. In the end though it comes to you if you dont give it your all then you are just wasting your time and money no matter how good the school is.

I’m k.d.tabsh I got my license on September 5th 1st tryout, instructors are very attentive no matter the count in class, highly recommended and the cheapest in LA. Dakota, Brian and Soto are the best teachers , my gratitude.

Alot of hands on training, if you have no experience with truck and trailers the classes would be harder, and if you dont have your permit already I suggest get it before starting these classes. The trainers you need to tell them how far along you are in your training so you can get more experience.

Really great school I graduated at the age of 19 with them took just 2 months to learn every skill my air brakes and Inspection with my driving .
