Got my Class A CDL in 4 weeks!!!I attended the Gary Indiana school the office staff was polite, truthful, and very helpful. The instructors were polite, truthful, and very helpful. It is my personal opinion that the negative reviews were posted by the students that did not take this training seriously, missed several days, and did not really want it. GREAT JOB DRIVE CO. My family and I Thank You

I had a very bad experience with this company. I was treated unfairly, I wasn’t able to participate in certain areas, the instructors are very unprofessional, and I would never return to the premises.

First and foremost, I want to thank ALL the instructors at DriveCo for providing me the necessary tools and resources to successfully complete the program.  A special shout out to Bob Murrey, Mike, Jodi, Jose, Jack, Mr Tibbs and Al (no particular order).  You are amazing and I will truly miss you ALL!  As mentioned, please listen for the special honk and doubles when I pass the school.  The sound will be “A Shave and a Hair Cut, two bits” (if you are not sure what that means, ask Jack lol).If you are considering pursuing your CDL with DriveCo, I wanted to make sure I share my experience so that you will be prepared and informed… Never mind, my advice; Listen to them ALL, do as they say, Always Be on TIME… you will SUCCEED!  Oh yeah, please start studying the pre-trip in week 1.  I see too many students push that off till week 3 and struggle.  Next, practice backing/skills every chance you get.  When you feel you perfected it, practice more.Carlos, please READ this.  There are a few things that you stated that were displeasing to say the least.  Statements like these can be damaging to the organization; as you are the initial contact for DriveCo.  First, in our orientation, you were discussing how you are a Purdue graduate, and that you will be more than happy to bring in your cap and gown for the students who pass the CDL, to take a picture in front of a truck.  I understand you are proud of your accomplishments (as we should be), however, this came off as conceited and had no relevance in this setting.  Next, you decided to say the following to me in week 1, “If you do not pass the first time, your company will get rid of you”.  Considering you do not know who I am, my work ethic and my capabilities, this was inappropriate and uncalled for!  Also in week 1, you walked into the class while the students were taking their pre-test and said the following, “look at all of these geniuses… You will all fail”.  I understand it was a joke, however, this also was uncalled for and certainly not humorous.  Finally, what really confounded me, was what you said after I asked you if you have ever considered getting a CDL.  You told me, in front of a student and instructor (who I highly respect), that you are overqualified.  You really need to humble yourself.  If you and I compared credentials, I am 100% sure it is unmatched.  I have worked in corporate for 14 years.  I held positions as a Director of Academic and Financial advising in Higher Education for 3 campus locations.  I have a Bachelor’s in Business and a Master’s in Information System Management.  Know this, I do not consider myself better then anyone.  Everybody possesses a skill set we can learn from.  Respect everyone!

I attended the Laporte location. I’m a recent graduate of this school, I passed my CDL test on the first try. I was more than prepared for the test! I drove from Chicago to Laporte everyday for class because I appreciated the small class size. I had a significant amount of one on one training. Jimmy is a great instructor! I hope he continues to teach others as long as possible. 10/10 experience for me! Will 100% recommend to others

Although the equipment used in the yard for skills practice isn’t the best. The overall experience was great. Shout out to Mr Tibbs and Jack, great instructors. They give you a thorough explanation of what to expect and not to do when you go for your exam. Funny yet professional guys. I mentioned Mr Tibbs and Jack specifically because they were my instructors

The company where I worked for over 20 years closed its doors. I decided to upgrade my license to a class A CDL by attending 4 weeks of truck driving school. DriveCo instructors dont play around. They are experienced professionals and they work hard at training you to acquire the knowledge and skills you need to start a truck-driving career. If you are looking for an accredited truck driving school, which is respected and accepted by major trucking companies, then I recommend DriveCo!

I had a good experience at driveco. The weekend classes fit with my schedule and made it feasible for me to do this. We had great instructors. My advise, if your planning on doing this view it as a investment in yourself. Don’t throw away your investment. Pay attention, don’t waste any of your class time or skills training. Don’t let the size of the tractor intimidate you. And don’t ever think you can’t do it, what one man can do so can another.

I made a career change about 3 years ago and decided to drive a truck. I signed up with DriveCo and 4 weeks later I had my CDL. The instructors were great and took the time to explain and help when ever we had problems. I was having trouble with the double clutch shifting and Mike took the time to help me it out. Randy made the classroom sessions enjoyable, ( I never had to take a bean!). Im currently driving a tanker for a local company and really enjoy my job. They say if you have a job you like, its not work and I agree! Thanks again DriveCo

Went to DriveCo about 3 years ago, from a friends referral l. Hands down one of the best places to get a CDL not only price but training. The reviews dont do justice to the school. The staff and teachers are great, very knowledgeable, helpful to all there students. They will work with you if your struggling on something. They dont want anyone to fail. Which to me shows how determined they are to make sure you start your trucking career in the right path. They also have trucking companys come in and talk to the students about job opportunitys. Which allows you to get your licence and possibly a job by the time you graduate. Ive talked to other drivers who just started and were over the road, comparison to the schools they went to none compared to DriveCo.Thank you to all the Staff at DriveCo for a wonderful experience, and the passion that they gave to get my class and me our licences.
