Both of our daughters go to Gateway Tech, and it is the perfect place for them! It is self-paced, but the teachers are there to help them along the way as they need it. Anytime I have had any questions or concerns, they are addressed in a timely manner. It is an adjustment for kids coming from a traditional school setting, but once they got the hang of it, they havent looked back! They also enjoy that it is half day w/ no homework

I strongly disagree with anyone who gave a bad review about this school. It is an advanced school, and if someone cant handle all the responsibility and work, then maybe they shouldnt go there. This school isnt for everyone, I know. But in my opinion its one of the best schools someone could go to.

The old principle told my parents that if i pass my task test i would pass on to the 8th grade while they were in a teacher parent meeting.....i passed all my task test with 80s or above. We went to go get our tabs at the school a month before school started and we asked if i passed and he responded with no im not going to fail him because his grades were to low through both semestersBULLSHIT huh he lied to my parents and me he deserves a slap to the face. and now he is the reason i lost all motivation for my career and my life i have been depressed for about 2 years now and i cant get my self straight.

The kids get an advanced education, and they all pass their STAAR tests easily. Its also fun to watch the school grow, getting new students and new buildings!

I disagree wholeheartedly with the previous review. I have a child at Gateway CPS who is thriving. I signed up to Google Plus just to refute every word of that review. Im not a paid shill for the school. I will acknowledge that charter schools have their ups and downs. But there is no comparison to a public school. None. Unlike most public schools, they do not teach to the test. The class sizes arent 25:1. The children are urged to be creative and use their brains from an early age. Frankly, Im just amazed at how much they cover. The assertion that the curriculum isnt firm, fun and friendly quite frankly makes me laugh because it is so far from the truth. The kids also go on fun interactive field trips and have class room parties to balance out the academics. And the constantly changing staff remark is off base too...teachers have a right to have babies, do they not? Many of the teachers present last year are still there. As the school grew, some were shifted to other posts. Those that werent effective were replaced. Its a shame that some people are such negative nancies and probably grumble and complain with just about every school that their precious snowflakes attend. Most of my daughters classmates are returnees, so that should tell you something. Id really wish the negative people, as few as they are, would just pull their children and let someone else take their place.

Very sad example of someone trying to get rich off your childs education. They ask for a service they dont provide. I am very unsatisfied with the staff, which is always changing, as well as the unprofessionalism and unorganized and low teaching techniques. No one in the school is on the same page, everyone does what they want, including on their moodle page which it keeps changing just like their staff. Our children dont learn as much as they did in their regular public schools, they dont have a firm, fun and friendly curriculum. They read posts (including Facebook) and take those ideas from posts and slap something together and make it happenVery pathetic excuse of a school. it should be closed because it is setting my children back and not getting them ready for ANYTHING in life, much less college.

This school has allowed my son to graduate instead of having to get a GED. They have cared and communicated and pushed him to succeed

I say this school is just plain crap, my kid hasnt learned a single thing there and all they do is try to blame everything on him. First they said that it was his fault that he was failing, and They kept saying that his dyslexia wasnt real so everything about this school is nothing but a lie.
