This school was not what I expected, it is beyond excellent. The teacher ms. Hedrick goes out of her way to help each of her students. She gets to know you through each class period . She provides you with all the materials you need to pass the class . At first it may be hard ,but if you do as she says you will pass. If you fail that shows you didn’t follow instructions because she gives you everything you need. Even if you are having a hard time she will take the extra time to go through it one on one. She will answers any questions and she will tell you things how they are. Which I loved because I knew what I was getting myself Into. I will really miss this class because i looked forward to it not only for the teacher and new learning experiences but also for the students because we began to get closer. Her classes are never boring!!!! And also the owner Ms. Kay is so sweet and welcoming, she is doing an excellent job with the school . I would recommend Ms. Hedrick as a teacher !!! Unfortunately I would have to say that I made the mistake of returning back to this school with hopes that things have changed. I was reassured from the director Kay, that I would have a great experience if I decided to come back for my MA but unfortunately that was not the case. Mrs. Jacobs is a liar unprofessional she has an attitude problem, she plays Favoritism with other students she talks about other students when they’re not around she’s very childish as if she was still in high school and the school is for profit only they will not go out of their way to help out their students if they are struggling with the program there are no second chances nothing the school is a rip off and they are liars I would not even waste my time to write a review if had no truth to be aware of the school because I should’ve never returned, I had only needed three points to pass. I reached out to director Kay & Mrs Jacob I had received the coldest response short answered I truly felt like I was communicating with people didn’t know like I just didn’t spend 2 1/2 months with this people. Another student needed extra points and they played favoritism with here don’t trust this school. Not to mention COVID-19 was a big factor stress levels high.. I will be reaching out to the BBB & the department of education.Response from the owner 3 hours agoIt is disheartening to see a one-star review by you. As a school, we afforded you several opportunities to succeed in a medical career. However, the passion to succeed that must be presented by the student was missing. All grades must be earned by following instructions and doing whats required to pass. Gades must be earned and given ethically. We can not provide the missing 3% to pass anyone as you mentioned was the case. Therefore, we were not able to pass you and put peoples lives at risk.)

This school is amazing! My teacher helped me understand the material and fully prepared me for being a medical assistant. It’s a fast paced program but she helped me through it and had no problem sitting down and working with me. If you want to be an MA you have to get Hannah Jacobs as a teacher. PTI set me up with an amazing externship site and not long after that I got a good job working as an MA. A huge plus is that PTI cost less than every MA program I’ve looked at. You’re getting a high quality medical education for a very decent price.

This review is for the school in general. I waited over four months to enroll into a program at PTI. Due to some financial circumstances, I was not able to attend five months ago. The school director guided me to get financial assistance that I qualified for from the City. I knew nothing about such financial help. Thank you so much Ms. Kay for helping me. You made my dream of further education possible. It’s always a charm to hear your pleasant voice on the phone and you don’t ever get tired of the questions we as students ask.On a side note, I read some of the reviews, especially one review from J Lee, I possibly can’t understand why someone would say such things. To use the word cheap indicates your state of mind. I would like to say this school is extremely affordable with top notch education BUT NOT cheap in any way...... go see it for yourself. The school is very clean and all the faculty and staff members are extremely helpful.

My fiance also recently attended courses here & has learned so much and gained quite a bit of experience in the nursing field. New management is awesome and were a tremendous help! Still might have to come around once in a while because I dont yet know the details of the tuition due, as Ive gone halfway through CMA program. Ill see where I get with that. As a whole, Id rate the school 3-4 stars because it was my first exposure as a guy trying a medical assistant class in a predominantly female class. The people at the desk are helpful for most parts except the, uh, financial part:) I would like to try again at a time thats most optimal for me and Ive faced the fears of being around a significant portion of women. Im not saying I cant face it but its definitely not an afterthought if youre a guy wanting to get into the field. Im no special case. It was great getting my feet wet but for anyone wanting to try it as your first school, make very sure youve factored in all the variables to it, I kid you not.

Dont waste your money on this place unless youre going for the CNA program. The teachers are great and very knowledgeable, but if youre looking for a Medical Assistant/Phlebotomy program, go somewhere else. The owner (Kay) knows nothing about the externship sites she sends the students to. She doesnt care about you, she only cares about making money and making herself and her business look good. Ive learned that 220 hours for the externship is much longer than usual and people look down to you for only going to school for 8-9 weeks. The program is definitely not long enough to learn what you need to know in the field and I now understand why the externship hours are so long.

When it came down to the test there was many things that were different and many things I was told that did not end up being true. The school told me well all the teachers teach different as well as.the two state bord tester test differently. So another words they teach different and test different n where suppose to just get lucky n get the tester that testes the way the teacher taught. U have got to b kidding. And a couple staff members are very unprofessional sending out names of people who have failed the test to other people at the school. Purposely pointing out students that had failed for things by name. How unethical and wrong is that. Choose another school I shud have.

I really enjoyed my time at PTI Health College. The class sizes are small which make it really easy to interact with your instructor. My instructor was Sharron Hudis. I really did enjoy her as a professor. The class availability worked with my schedule and was really flexible. The tuition wasnt terrible either. I took the phlebotomy course. I wish there had been a little more hands on lab hours, but there was so much to cover in the book. In all, I feel like I was adequately prepared to go to my externship. I did my externship with LabCorp, and was told that I should apply after my first week of externship because they liked my skill set. I am proud to say that I ended my externship on a Friday, and started work Monday with the company!!!!! I would like to say thank you to PTI and instructor Sharron Hudis for my success. I really enjoyed going to the school, and I think its great that they issue the state licenses on the campus. Great school!THANK YOU!
