I may be a snake, but being here taught me a lot. Not the best school, but not the worst either. The teachers here care, and are expirenced most of the time. 7/10 it’s a good school, great teachers, would recommend.

This school is good, but it could be better.This year they have a new principal and no one knows who she is. I loved the previous one, Mrs.Largent .She care about the students and parents.You could walk up to her with any concern and she would be happy to help you.You could see her walking around campus.

Wow, this place is in great safe location. When we moved to Arizona from California it was such a relief to find less thugs in the schools system. Cali can keep those kids/teachers, I want my kid to grow up respecting others and not be a hoodlum.

My daughter loves Desert Star. Her teacher is AMAZING! She has made my daughter love school and love to learn. Everyone at Desert Star is friendly and wants the best for kids.

Hardly ever parents admit at these days that their child was rude, acted disrespectfully, ignored the teachers requests. The students dont take education seriously to begin with and its all starts at home. It is parents responsibility to discipline a child, so he/she doesnt distract anyones leaning and act respectfully to classmates and any adult in campus. There are two parties of any problem. I used to be a substitute teacher for this district and the school for many years. I wish administration will take some actions toward rudeness and disrespect of some of the students. I got tired of that pretense like that care, they do not. They just need a body in a classroom to fill in a spot. I moved on to teach Odyssey Charter school where scholars and parents care about education. It makes my day so enjoyable teaching the students with an open mind and looking for the bright future.

Everybody is nice and accepting. Teachers Care. Mrs. Price is gone, so the school is a significant amount better.

This school ruined my life in kindergarten. Everyone was mean as heck, even my teacher. The teachers were very mean, and a lot of the kids were mean as well. I didnt like this school at all, my parents moved away because this school was so bad. We had uniforms too, it sucked.

The teachers are not trained enough to know what to do and what they are doing they need to have more staff cause they need to double up on teachers in 7th and 8th

My daughter has been there for 3 years now.... I love it ... I can talk to any teacher or the principal when there is a issue and i feel like im taking serious... The teachers care and make sure you know it... I saw a few negative reviews but I bet if you really look at the issue... its probably not the school...ijs LETS GO SCOROPIONS!!!

They do not handle bullying well at all

I absolutely will never have my children return to this school. I had all 3 of my children attend this scool for far to long. Majority of the teachers are rude and do not actually care about our children or their education. I find it very hard to believe that now ALL 3 of my children have had the same issues with a particular 4th grade teacher... This school drew the line once they started over seeing a teacher locking my daughter who is only a 4th grader out of the class room for wearing a sweater during winter. Yes I said locked her out of the class room, and more then once. Oh did I fail to mention another teacher thought it was appropriate to smack my daughter with a ruler. District office is aware so lets see if they take this seriously.
