This is our first experience with any type of Martial Arts, and are extremely impressed with Alejandro and his Dojo. Our 4 year old son loves being apart of the Baby Ninja class, and looks forward to Saturday mornings at the Dojo. Alejandro is extremely professional, great with the kids and parents alike. He demands respect from his students, and the students love him for it! I highly recommend Alejandro and Kazoku Karate for both anyone looking to get into Karate or already have a vast experience in Karate and are looking to hone your skills.

Not only do you get to learn from amazing human beings. The way they teach class is very special. Involving tradition and respect for such an art. I truly enjoy learning the reasoning behind the techniques and movements. It’s amazing to see the whole body movements and using your body to protect yourself. I did not think I would ever be doing karate but after watching these guys teach I fell in love! Best decision!

Troy is an amazing sensei! My son has a lot of behavior issues and Troy is the perfect mix of being fun and building rapport w/ my kid as well as firm and teaching him respect! Brittany also is fantastic, both with my son and being organized and handling scheduling! They are always flexible and you can tell they both love the kids! This is hands down the one of the best if not the best karate ive ever seen, its both traditional and effective, the senseis teach extremely well and are extremely disciplined, these men WILL teach you how to defend yourself, how to be a disciplined person and how to be a better person overall.

Let me start of by stating that although I have never done Karate however I have been in combat sports in the past and I know when you have an ok instructor and an awesome instructor. With that in mind Sensei Troy is not only awesome he is ten notches above awesome. His ability to teach kids and connect with them is truly awe-inspiring. My two boys Alex and Gio have learned so much in such a short time. He has taught them that quiting is not an option. That self belief is the most important aspect to anything we do. My two boys confidence has skyrocketed and much of that has to do with the community that has been fostered in Southeast Karate. I would encourage anyone with kids to please try them out. Unfortunately, I will be living in another city soon and my kids wont be there very long. It trully has saddened my kids and I could only hope that we will find a school with at least half of what Southeast Karate has offered.
