My kiddo loved spending his days here! Drop off was rough but the teachers were so helpful with distraction and comfort. They helped teach some very important social skills and helped encourage him find his voice. We were only there for a short time since we moved, but even still he talks about his teachers and students!

We have a toddler and preschooler currently enrolled. We couldnt be happier with the experience. Our youngest gets to be in a guided, yet independent setting where she feels empowered to take care of herself. Our preschooler is challenged but feels confident in his learning. They are outside every day and the school provides snacks and meals. All of the staff at Little Genius Montessori are warm, supportive and positive. We have not seen any turnover in staff, and feel that they really care about our kids. Amber and Danielle, the directors, work tirelessly to make sure that Little Genius Montessori is a wonderful learning environment.

Our child (1.5 yrs old) has been attending LGM for the last 6 months or so. We absolutely love it! They are very good at communicating with us about what we should be ready for in the coming months (toilet training and such). Our child loves the other kids. Also they have been amazing with flexibility given that we only need part time care. Its nice to know when I drop my child off they receive similar care as he would at home. Stop what you are doing and schedule a meet and greet with Amber now.

My little guy loves this school. I work from home and he is an only child so taking him here a few times a week gives him the socialization that he cant get at home and I get time to get some work done! He loves going, and I like all the skills he picks up there! I would recommend this school to everyone.

My son (2 years old) started here in the spring and weve all been exceptionally pleased. All staff are professional, safety-conscious, learning-focused and most importantly, great with children. I especially love how they mix learning and fun. They have lots of outside time too (which I think is so important). My son asks on the weekends if he can go to daycare!

We have had our daughter enrolled in this school from age 1 up through age 2.5. Our daughter is very independent and likes to learn. We are very satisfied with the directors and teachers that we have been exposed to. You KNOW its a good environment for your child when they are excited to go to school and they talk positively and happily about all of the teachers and directors. LIkewise, its easy to talk with the adults who work there - another terrific sign. We love that we get a report card for each day that accounts for food, potty usage, emotional state, etc. When we have had a question or concern we have mentioned it directly to either the teachers or the directors, and have been satisfied with the responses we have received. While a relatively new program, they are learning and adapting to their feedback quickly. We have been impressed with the changes we have seen in our short period there, and hence have decided to keep our daughter enrolled because she has thrived under their care.

Our family knew after the first tour we had found the right place for our little one. Making the choice to work outside of the home and have our child in private care was challenging to say the least, but the staff at Little Genius Montessori have helped in so many ways. When dealing with the Directress team of Danielle and Amber you feel assured all is well. All of the associates are kind, genuinely care, and want to see your child grow. Sophie has been instrumental in guiding our child and the progress we have seen is amazing! I wish my child could attend Little Genius until she heads off to college.

I am so thankful we found Little Genius Montessori school for our 4yr old daughter. It truly is the best. My daughter has grown educationally, emotionally and her self confidence has increased tremendously since she started. She has made so many new friends also. I interact on a daily basis with the directors (Amber and Danielle) and have found them to be very kind and caring. They are invested in this school 100%, they listen to concerns, answer my questions and are very respectful about the privacy of other parents and children. Megan and Rhonda (my daughters teachers) are very helpful with situations that occur at home and school. They show compassion towards the children while keeping the learning fun and diverse. They encourage the children in their work, teach the kids teamwork and how to help each other. Many life skills that I dont see in many adults these days! I appreciate that the doors are locked at all times, they know who is in the building at all times. I think the safety and security is great. I usually pick her up, one day my husband had to and he got interviewed before being let in. One more thing (I could go on and on) the children are outside almost every day! They just put on rain gear if its wet, layers in the cold and sunscreen in the hot weather.Thank you!

The women at this school are a class act. Everyone there is helpful, honest, kind, quick to see the good in people. My sons teacher was Rhonda and she was great, and also the co-directors were always gracious.

My son was only 6 weeks old when he started attending the Little Genius Montessori, in Gresham they made me feel completely at ease leaving him there, and it has been a happy experience since. Every morning when he is dropped off at preschool he is smiling, happy to be there. Couldnt be happier with my son attending this daycare.

This school is a wonderful place to send your child. When my children first started going here they were not used to being away from mom at all, and I didnt know how my children would react to being at a school away from mommy. I wanted to choose the right place for my children, that would allow them to have a great educational experience. This process was an important time for both myself and my boys. They were only used to being with me or their dad and so I was nervous about this new transition. I looked around at a few places, and then I found Little Genius Montessori. I was reluctant at first because I didnt understand what a Montessori school was, all I knew of was the traditional school setting. Since I wasnt sure how this school was any better than the traditional kind, I decided to sit and observe in the classroom. I stayed for about an hour or so.I watched how the school was set up, what new lessons were being taught and how they were being taught. I paid very close attention to the teachers and how they interacted with the kids. The teacher was very attentive to my questions and made sure that I understood the meaning and the process behind each particular lesson. Any questions I had she answered for me, and I left their knowing that I had made the right choice for my children. My boys took well to this type of school. Yes, of course they miss mommy at times. I know this because the wonderful staff they have working there make it a point to communicate with me on a daily basis about what my children were doing throughout they day and the things they would say. The staff here certainly care about the children they provide care for, as I have seen it first hand. Since my boys have been attending here, they have made a huge educational impact in my childrens lives. This school has allowed my boys to flourish in ways that surprise me everyday. Their communication skills and vocabulary has expanded dramatically. They have never complained of being abused in any form or fashion, and always have nice things to say about their teachers. My children have learned sign language here. They know how to put on their coat and zip it up, all by their self. They want to learn and try to learn and do things all by themselves. They enjoy helping out their bug brothers with chores around the house, such as vacuuming, dishes and laundry. Which I think is fascinating. To watch your 3 and 4 year old develop life skills at such an early age is just amazing. They have embraced being independent and that has helped them tremendously. They are excited to try new lessons and learn new things, and are always telling me about their day. I would highly recommend this school to any parent.

My first compliment is my kiddo progressed in potty training during the transition from another unnamed school to Little Genius Montessori. My kiddo only wets the bed at night; I just wish LGM can come home with us. My second compliment is more of story, so please bear with me. My kiddo was making clicking noises with their tongue and which I told them to stop because I found it (shame on mama me) annoying. My sister was with us at the time and whom had multiple kids in speech therapy said that’s a speech therapy technique. Since then, it’s music to my ears and her speech has drastically improved, people have complimented on my child’s speech. Thank you Little Genius Montessori.

Our daughter has been in the infant, toddler 1 and toddler 2 classrooms over the last year. She has loved all her teaches and is always excited to go to school. LGM has taught her a lot of independence skills that my husband and I never thought a toddler could do. They handle inappropriate behavior with grace and compassion for the children and have been very patient with our child. Outside play is a regular part of the childrens day and they are out on the playground every couple hours. This is fantastic for our very active child and she comes home relaxed and ready for quiet time. Danielle and Amber have done a great job of hiring excellent staff and implementing the Montessori philosophy. LGM is a great resource to the Gresham community.

My children attended LGM for a period of almost 1 year. It is impossible to find a comparable school for my 2 kids since our move out of Gresham. Every day my daughter talks about how much she misses her old school. If you are on the fence about LGM, please know that should you decide to go here, you will not be sorry. The care here is exceptional and the staff are nothing short of saints. Thank you Amber, Danielle x 2, Jenna, Barbara, Beth, Nikki.... And everyone else that contributed to the love my kids have for work and being independent. We miss you!!!!) LH

At first when my son went there, it was ok. They put other kids clothes on my son, put used training underwear on my son, one staff in the 2 year old class aloud my son to take a toy from another child while I was standing there and I had to tell my son to give it back while she just sat in a chair, my son had dirt n grass in his hair every time I picked him up when they went outside, 2 staff had an attitude with me when I told them about situations that were a concern for me like how he uses the restroom on his self there daily and he is potty trains at home and how they can never find his cloths, the final straw was when after talking to I think her name was Ronda or something that morning at drop off about my sons changing cloths that I have given them and they could not find, she had an attitude, and when I picked up my son, I was notified then and not when it happened that he fell and scraped his nose and top of his lip. Also, I was told he had on training underwear. When I checked, he had no under wear on. I looked in there shelf area and I found his changing cloths they couldnt find. The incident report said he had his shoes on the wrong feet. They dont pay attention, they are careless, and they have no respect for kids or parents of the kids they take care of in my opinion. If they have kids, hopefully they change there attitude towards other kids and choose another job career away from kids. I took my son out of there and he is not going back.

My daughter (3-1/2) hadnt been to daycare or montessori school before she started at LGM. Being an only child, socialization was important to us. She has flourished in their school. She has learned life skills, independence, grace and courtesy. She has such a great time at school, loves all of her teachers and looks forward to going every day. The staff has also helped me with at home issues with my daughter. They have provided much needed tips and tools that have been very useful. This is a great place for montessori education!

This business is overflowing with the best actors. They appear marvelous from first glance but the longer my kids attended, the more I found out. The plus was- they had three great teachers...that had no say or power over anything. Basically just TAs.I dont believe any of them are still there now. I picked up my boys and my two year old told me that Jane(we will call her) was mean to him. When I talked to the two directors (who appear happy and cheerful but are actually just undeniably fake) and asked if they had anyone there by the name of Jane they said no. Unfortunately they lied. The lady named Jane in fact works there and was subing in my sons class that day. I recently found out that she has been seen by other employees shoving children. I witnessed her scream at a child to stop their crying because their mother was no longer there and she just wouldnt tolerate that. Children get sad when parents leave. It is a sign that they have a good home. The child has a good attachment. We want that. We dont want to tarnish it and get a power trip over it. Also, Jane refused to let me in at one point to grab my son because she was, teaching a class. NO JOKE. Also, the front doors are always locked. I chalked it up to be for the childrens safety but realized later on it was for the teachers safety of not getting caught mistreating children. And as a parent standing outside for ten to fifteen minutes banging on the door and calling the center to get no response, all you can do is wonder why they are taking so long. To this daycare the children are nothing more then a number. For my kids they received about $1,400 a month. I guess that isnt enough to treat my boys with compassion. At first my biggest complaints were my kids coming home in random ripped up underwear. Or when I put my son in his carsest to discover his rain boots were filled with urin and his toes were wrinkled from sitting in the urine so long. They do not prepare decent meals. Chex and cheese was frequently on the papers sent home. Oh and i found out that those were all fake. They dont actually document how much your child ate, how much their output was or how the day went. It is all for show. They have had plenty of ECE majors (early childhood education)work for them so they know how to work the parents. My kids both had great caregivers. unfortunately they did not have a say over much and were not there 24/7. I got my boys out just in time. And unfortunately for my boys I found a lot out about them after the fact. I enrolled them to have that peer experience and class like setting. Not to be a number with a dollar sign and the outlet of someones hateful mindset.

When I arrived in Oregon, new fantastic job in hand, the first order of business was to research and find an amazing preschool where my two-year-old daughter would thrive. As a single, working mother I think that the importance of quality childcare may actually trump food! And what did I discover? No reviews! So I am writing this review not only to rave about Little Genius Montessori but in hopes that it will serve to guide other parents lost in the childcare search. So what can I tell you? I can tell you that since enrolling in Little Genius Montessori my daughter’s language skills are skyrocketing; her concentration levels deepening; I have seen improvements in her socialization and transitions; and, not to mention we have a wonderful new partner in potty training! My little Peanut attends the two-year-old toddler classroom with Teacher Mariah. Mariah is fantastic! She is devoted to her students; she is patient, kind, instructive, and fun! Though the building is a bit older and perhaps worse for wear (read: ugly tile floors), Mariah has created a beautiful Montessori classroom. She has even included a nice humidifier diffuser to help ward off the preschool petri dish winter germs with tea tree oil and clove. The children have a solid routine throughout the day that involves plenty of outside play when the weather permits. Each day upon pick up I receive a written report of Peanut’s activities and we usually have a moment to chat while Peanut gathers her coat and shoes. This also lets me know what she has eaten for snacks and meals. I wish perhaps the school had more time and money to make more organic, or “homemade” meals but Peanut has no complaints about the food and thus neither do I. Examples of snacks and meals: pretzels, chex, applesauce, melon, pear, turkey burgers, “pizza” on tortillas, baked potato, green beans – its balanced and healthy. And she is learning serving and table manners, which supports what she is learning at home! Hooray for functional independence! All in all I love Little Genius Montessori! Amber, Danielle, and the rest of the staff are wonderful! I, we, really felt welcomed into the school and community. In my search for childcare (should it be near work? Home? Etc) I must have seen six places and read about a hundred more and I can tell you that, after all was said and done, I came right back to the first place I visited back on the day I was in town for my job interview – Little Genius Montessori! Had the reviews been out there, perhaps I wouldn’t have wasted so much time! So, please know that LGM is a safe, happy, constructive, productive, and wonderful school where your child will most likely thrive. I truly trust them to care for my daughter and look forward to Peanut growing and moving into the Primary classroom next year!
