I looked at reviews posted by Samantha and Cassandra and immediately knew both of the students needed to understand how to write properly! Their usage of the English language was poor! Instead of complaining about Gulfstream Academy, they both needed to pay more attention in school so they could eventually be better prepared for the educational journey ahead of them. Its so important for the students to know education is their key to attaining a much better adult lifestyle. Please pay full attention is school and youll be very thankful 10 years from now!

I honestly want to give this school ZERO stars not even a one! The staff is horrible and absolutely unprofessional. This is school the type of school that i call a franchise! The school may be nice but the staff brings it down to the ground, you dont want your child in the care of adults like them and they have absolutely no respect for parents its like the kids are in a concentration camp i hate it!!!! My child will be removed immediately!!! Parents do your research think TWICE!!!

WHEN I VISITED HALLENDALE ELEMENTARY 2005-2006, ITS ENVIRONMENT SURROUNDINGS WERE VERY ORGANIZED AND CLEAN. CHAIRS IN ABOUT TWO VISIBLE CLASSROOMS WERE STACKED. THE LIBRARY WAS AN AWESOME TECHNOLOGY WISH LIST FOR ANY SERIOUS EDUCATOR. A PLEASURE TO HAVE HAD AN OPPORTUNITY TO ENTER A USA ELEMENTARY SCHOOL. IT LACKED PARKING. ALWAYS IMPORTANT TO UNIONS.BAHAMAS UNION OF TEACHERS.

Horrible experience! Staff and specially the vice principal is extremely disrespectful! I got the chance to speak to her regarding school safety! Couldn’t even said good morning, gave me a nasty attitude knowing I’m a parent, don’t want to imagine how she treats children! The school smells bad, you can see the disorganization at school events; not enough chairs, children are not prepared. The principal requested $2,500 for mouthpieces, but yet the school cafeteria is moldy, AC leaking, this school used to be good.

My kids have been there since Kinder. It was an A rated school for many years while it was under Mrs. Ludwig, The former principal who retired last year. The new principal, Mrs. Itty , Came on board and started firing some of the best staff members and teachers who made it great,Instituted a lot of draconian policies against staffers, teachers and parents, alienated many people and sank the school to a C. Its incredible how much a negative leader can affect an entire organization. Luckily, my younger son is out of elementary this year. But in absence of other better choices, this school may work for you in the meantime.Good luck.

Overall a good school with a lot of resources available, but I find it unacceptable for teachers to say ax instead of ask. There are plenty children who cant say ask, and I believe that it is one of responsibilities of a teacher to correct that, to make sure our children speak properly, not encourage the opposite. My son would always say ask but shortly after be begun attending this school he started to say ax. It took me almost a year of constantly correcting him, for him to stop mispronouncing this word. Many hiring managers will turn down someone who cant pronounce a word as simple and basic as ask because it would reflect negatively on their business, so for a school to hire those that cant speak properly to TEACH OUR KIDS is unacceptable. I heard that the school and stuff was better, was held to a higher standard, before Ms. Itty took over.

Here is the tea sis all staffs and all teachers there are so mean there ok and they put 4th and 5th grade all together with the middle schoolers , that there ladies and gentlemen is not right because I have had my life experience there for 4 years and when Mr. Pappas came to that school it became trash because every morning there would be at least 2 group of people in the cafeteria pulling each other’s hair and hiring each other and then that’s the part where everyone would just start yelling then they threat that they will end school before they even get to exact day which was June 8 2018 and of course Mr. Castillo does not have the guts to do it because he has no authority from the real authorities and yes we have had a few staffs fired and teachers too and when I was in 4th grade I had 2 teachers and one of them had to leave around December so she retired and then a new teacher came where none of us could barely understand a word she said she was Russian and then our English teacher was so meanest of all time all she would do is put pressure on you and the only thing she would do 24/7 is write refurals and write ups and I had 2 write ups because I was trying to defend my self after 2 boys where trying to offend me and hit me so how am I supposed to get a write up for that which btw it all affects the school you want to go to when your in college. All I am saying that school is like a threat to me!!

This not a good school at all the middle schoolers get treated like their still in elementary their not allowed to have any freedom they cant even eat with their friends they have to come in a line and sit down and get 5 minutes to eat!!! they start off the day the kids in their home room have the schedule as the rest of the class which is stupid because now its gonna be harder for them to make more friends and interact more with other students to be honest dade is better!!!!

Unfortunately the attention in the office is bad ... they have a lot of trouble to register a student ... and it is the first school that requested the bus service because I do not have a car and I cannot take it and I have to wait 3 weeks. . to be assigned .. and before they get angry because the responsibility is mine if I am a disabled mother .. requesting a service ..
