This school has been amazing. They all show love for every child. They instill morals and teach from the heart. I am very proud that my son has been with such an amazing school for the past 4 yrs and counting.

This is our daughters fourth year at St. Mary Star of the Sea School and we couldnt be more pleased. The faculty and staff at the school are absolutely amazing. She has had wonderful teachers every year that are extremely dedicated to the curriculum and a Christ centered foundation for learning. Its more than just a school, its a family. I know my daughter is safe when I drop her off. They have exceeded my expectations in both the knowledge my daughter has learned not only in academics, but how much she has grown in her faith as well. I would highly recommend this school. The principal is easily accessible to talk if need be and is always floating around the school.

I went to St. Marys for three years in the late 60s, before my parents were transferred by the Air Force to New Mexico. I still remember all my teachers and the nuns to this day. I got a great education there and felt good about the experience. St. Marys gave me a quality grounding - I learned to love reading there - and prepped me for the future. I have lots of fond memories.

Blessed to have my son be a part of St. Mary Star of the Sea School, all of the faculty was wonderful to my son and my husband, being a dual military family, the after school program and sports were great! Both my husband and I volunteered and loved working with the faculty. I hate to have to leave St Marys, hoping that we will be stationed in the area again to allow our younger son to attend SMSS! For me it was an added BONUS that my son was taught by the sisters!

I cannot recommend this school. As parents, we felt undermined, undervalued, and disrespected. The discipline system was out of control and frankly, nonsensical. In the end, we were afraid our children would be left feeling discouraged, inadequate, and spiritually depleted. The sense of community was not there. We, unfortunately, regret sending our children there.

Its pretty obvious it took a couple years to get a response from the school on its only bad review. All the other reviews are around the same time. Gotta love the internet.I went to school here over 25 years ago and was promptly kicked out. I remember giving a kid a knuckle sandwich that was making fun of me. I warned him repeatedly. He was an important officers kid with braces. There is nothing funnier than seeing nuns running while you beat the living crap out of a spoiled brat.The irony? I was the most popular kid in that school... once I was kicked out. Catholic girls are the best!!!Send your kids to this school if you are part of the elite bunch. I wasnt. I was poor.I believe that the education gained will exceed any public school. It was stern and by the book. I wish I would have had the opportunity to go through out my entire childhood. I learned more in the few months I was there than I learned in a few years of public schooling.I bet that kid never forgot me... and Im glad I was able to give him a lesson in ethics and humility. I wish I could remember his name...
