I cannot express enough how amazing this daycare is. My son goes to kindergarten next school year and can tell time, read at a first grade level, count money, and do double digit addition. I recommend this place to everyone.

My first child attended I Can Child Care from the time he was 1-5. I am beyond thankful for their curriculum and guidance. The values, workload and education that are taught within their facility has fully prepared my son for his virtual start to kindergarten. He enjoys learning thanks to the teachers and staff at I Can. My son was set up for success and I can’t wait to see how much daughter flourishes while attending I Can. I have never worried about the love, kindness, and support my children received while at the center, which eases a mother heart/mind tremendously. Can’t thank the staff enough for everything.

We have been with the Tanner family since the old building and my daughter just months. My daughter is 3 and extremely smart, able to read to a certain degree and write the alphabets. I will let you do the maths... my wife and I are very impressed by the love from this family of I Can. Yes we do have our differences at times but hey thats natural in provider-customer relations.We are grateful!!!

We can’t recommend I Can for child care enough. Our daughter started attending I Can when she was eight months old and we are so saddened by having to move, we will miss this place dearly. The facility is very clean, warm, and welcoming. The staff is kind and professional. They keep a structured routine, without losing any of the fun. The curriculum focuses on their current growth and development. My daughter absolutely adored going to I Can, and she learned so much! I also always felt comfortable dropping her off, knowing they take health and safety very seriously.

We cant say enough wonderful things about I Can. My son went in not knowing how to properly hold a pencil and within just a month, he was so proud that he could write his name all by himself. The staff and teachers are nothing short of amazing. They hold an immense amount of pride in their work and take such great care with the children. My son was excited to go to school every day and that is a huge testament to all of the people at this center.

Excellent place! The gem of Virginia!My daughter enrolled my 2 year-old granddaughter here at I Can and I could not wait to check out the place. As a grandma, my priority was to see how well my baby was being treated, and I could not believe the amazing staff I met. The baby loves her teacher Ms. Gale so much. Ive visited a few times, and no matter at what time my daughter and I pick up my granddaughter, we see her having fun and learning so much.Also of great importance; the center itself is kept in immaculate condition. Everything extremely clean, beautifully painted and well kept. The center and staff truly are an example of excellence in the field of child care and education.

My Daughter has been going to this child care and learning center for over a year; During that time we have had care and support that have gone beyond the day to day care of my child. Mrs. Tiffany, Mrs. Debbie and all of the staff have created an environment that is safe and educational and despite going through a lot personally this year I have been able to rest easy knowing that my daughter is safe...well cared for and learning a great deal. Her vocabulary has continued to grow and she can recognize all if her colors, letters and numbers up to the number 13. I would not have her anywhere else and I could not be happier.

I Can Learning Center has been by far the best center my boys have attended. My now 8 year old attended when he was smaller, and currently my 1 and 3 year old attend. The Staff are amazing and the facility is very welcoming and bright. My boys have learned so much in the short time they have been attending. The curriculum really over prepares the children for school (my son was well advanced in Kindergarten; test scores well above average). The Directors take pride in making sure the children are well equipped with what they need to succeed and parents are well aware of what happens day to. My family absolutely loves I Can!

I have never experienced a learning center quite like I CAN. Every child who has graduated from I CAN has exceeded Kindergarten PALS standards and many have received a perfect score on their first Kindergarten assessment. Recently, one student even got advanced to first grade without completing Kindergarten because he was brilliant and his education at I CAN prepared him so well. The dedicated teachers, challenging homework, and intentional relationships with parents for support are all priorities at I CAN and I highly recommend this learning center for all parents! No business compares to the family-owned, care-oriented, education-focused I CAN Child Care & Learning Center!!!

What an amazing center! My daughter feels so loved and cared for at this center, and learns something new every single day.My wife chose the center because she is a teacher herself and wanted to ensure the foundation of a good education for our daughter. This establishment is one of the best that I have came across. The owners are very caring for their staff and students. I highly recommend working there and also sending your children there. It is very organized, cleaned, and family oriented. That’s why I love working there because I feel at home.

My love and appreciation for I Can extends beyond words. I enrolled my daughter in the center a year or so ago and it has been nothing but great experiences since then.Starting with the safety; the center is locked at all times and is extremely secure.It is a very family directed center. Ms. Debbie and Ms. Tiffany form a great team and make sure all parents and little ones feel cared for on a personal level. Not to mention Mr. Tanner who is quite possibly the sweetest person of all time.Next we have the amazing teachers, from Ms. Tina to Ms. Gale, Ms. Teri they all form the amazing team that takes an active roll in the education of the little ones. My daughter is learning to be bilingual and so her talking was a little bit behind the rest of the class when we first got to the center and Ms. Paulette made it her goal to help her out and my daughter (who is supposed to know about 30 words by this age) is way beyond the 30 words, and even says full phrases and sings songs.Quite often reports go home on the educational standing of your child and what they are doing to help them out. They learn colors, shapes, numbers, every single day. In terms of fun activities, they also have a wide variety. The teachers make sure to take the little ones out to play often, and have a well thought out schedule for snacks, nap time and play time.I’m sure I’m leaving many great qualities of the center out, it’s hard to count all the ways I Can has impacted my daughter’s life, and mine, since every time I have an issue or story I talk all about it with Ms. Debbie who is so supportive and warm.Listen everyone, do not think about it twice, this center is truly the place for your child. The pricing is amazing given all that they do and resources they provide.Thank you I Can :)

AMAZING PLACE TO BE! In addition to the stunning facility, the I CAN staff members are compassionate and effective care givers and educators. They went above and beyond to care for, encourage, and help my child flourish via expanding confidence, independence, and belonging. If you are looking for a program that not only educates (ask them about how I CAN graduates compare to their kindergarten peers) but also truly cares for and about your child, you will not be disappointed here.

Wow. Looking over the other reviews, it appears most people feel the way I do about I CAN. I definitely can’t say enough great things about this “Learning Center”. They have data posted as soon as you enter the building confirming that those enrolled are in fact learning a lot!! The fact is 100% of the children who have gone on to Kindergarten have exceeded literacy benchmarks. That’s impressive for sure. And based on the comments, I can tell other parents are equally excited as I am that I CAN has created such an effective curriculum. I am a teacher myself, so I understand the importance of a quality education. Furthermore, I have to also mention that your reports from your licensing agent (The Department of Social Services) have been amazing, as I was sure to review them before even visiting. I read the review from Mr. Velasquez - every experience I’ve had with the Program Director and teaching staff has been a positive one. As a matter of fact, I think they work hard at ensuring that they maintain a ‘family’ environment. I’m wondering if he attempted to share his concerns with Administration, I’m sure any concerns would have been addressed immediately. Keep up the great work I CAN. I can’t thank you enough for all of your hard work to ensure that our little people are loved and are learning.

I am currently employed with I Can Child Care & Learning Center as the Infant Lead Teacher and Administrative Assistant. I started working here in June 2010 and I love it. Im not just saying this because Im employed here but as a mother of three I see the quality of care and love that the Teachers and Teachers Assistants provide. My daughter also had the pleasure to attended the Ladders classroom room to help refresh her math, reading, and writing while she was out of public school during the summer. My parents tell my team and I it takes special people to do this type of work and they are absolutely correct. This is a job but we try our very best to make it a home away from home. I highly recommend I Can.

We love I Can! My children have been attending I Can for nearly 2 years. My oldest has flourished in the Ladders classroom. At 4, she is reading and spelling and its amazing to see how her handwriting skills have improved over the past year as I look through her classroom journal. Our two year-old is learning sight words and has been asking to trace letters and shapes at home! She talks constantly about playing outside with her class and the art projects. She was snuggled and loved so sincerely in Mirrors that when #3 was born, we knew she could not be in better hands. Our youngest recently transitioned to Windows and loves testing her independence. I Can Child Care & Learning is special; it is so much more than child care! Our girls are receiving an excellent education in a fun, safe environment. The teachers work with each child individually to ensure that they are being challenged to grown and meet milestones (and often exceed them)! We feel very fortunate to have such wonderful people in our lives.

I was new to the area and was looking for a daycare center that provided structure and enrichment for my two children. I have been very pleased with the director and the staff. Between my two children we have been there long enough to have experienced each of the 4 classrooms at I Can. The teachers are very friendly and great with each child. They take the time needed to speak with you and answer any concerns you may have to ensure you and your child are receiving the best care and reaching all developmental milestones. I am happy that my 3 year old is able to read his basic sight word books! The homework given in Ladders is excellent in keeping up with your childs education, development and their progression week after week! My soon to be 2 year old is progressing very well with counting, colors and shapes.

Our daughter has been at I Can since she was 8 weeks old (she is now 4). The care and love she recieves is amazing and we wouldn’t want her anywhere else. The curriculum is great as well, at 4 she can write out the alphabet and is learning to read. Our daughter has a few limitations due to medical needs and she is never left out of what the class is doing because of this, she has always been included and treated the same. We plan to soak up this last year at I Can before we are off to Kindergarten.

The Adkins love I Can and appreciate the care, guidance and education they have provided our children. Our oldest son, now 6, is a 1st grader and a 2017 graduate of I Can. He is doing well in elementary school and I Can helped provide that preparation he needed. Our youngest son is a current student and will be graduating in August. Both boys entered I Can around the time they were 1 year old. The staff is awesome and we appreciate them!

I cannot put into words how grateful I am for finding I CAN when I did. I am an active duty Sailor and I CAN took care of my son from 4months-2.5years old. The staff helped us and guided as as new parents and took such good care of our throughout his time there. Looking back now, the time really flew by and it was all because of how wonderful the experience was. I cannot express with enough gratification how much this place meant to me and always will. Coming from a first time mom and having I CAN as the first daycare in this milestone in our lives, we could not have been more blessed to send him there. I encourage you all to see for yourself how amazing this establishment is and give it a try for your family.

This is the most professional, caring, and genuine group of people that you will ever encounter. We had a perfect experience over the span of a year and a half with every single teacher and employee. They treated us like family, and more importantly our daughter like she was their own. The education that our daughter received while attending I Can exceeded all expectation. I can not put any higher recommendation on this facility.

I love I Can Childcare. My son is 2 1/2 and started at I Can when he was 8 weeks old. I was extremely nervous about leaving my first born, but my concerns were short lived because from the start the staff treated my son as though he was their own. The teachers are loving and caring and begin to expose the children to the world of education very early. I never worry about his well being. I know that he is in a safe place. I Can is one of the best Childcare learning centers in the city of Hampton. The staff are like family to the little ones. They teach, nurture and have the childrens best interest at all times. The facility is always clean and organized.This is why there is always a waiting list for all classes at the facility. The Directors and administrators are transparent and approachable toward parents as well a staff and students. The staff is professionally trained through state mandated trainings and work far beyond their jobs in order to make sure the children are learning and always having fun! There is always a positive vibe upon entering and exiting the building. If you looking for a childcare center that is based around nurturing, learning and love. Check out I CAN!!

As I say this I mean it with my whole heart. I love I CAN. My daughter started there when she was about 18 months old. She only attended 11 months before we ended up moving away. It truly is amazing how much my baby girl has grown. And it wouldnt be this way if I didnt enroll her at I CAN. Teachers take so much to work with the little ones and teach them so much. They also make time with their busy schedule to meet with us and tell us our childs progress. I honestly can say they were like family. The saddest part about moving is losing this daycare. I will miss all the sheets I get telling me what their current lessons are teaching them. Ill miss being dog piled by my baby girl and her best friends.I know Ill never find a daycare as warm and welcoming as this. Who treated my baby as their own and loved her as I do. Ill never forget anyone at I CAN and when we come to town we will visit as long as youre open!!!!! (Seriously I wishi could take the daycare and everyone with me) 😊

Facility looks promising from the outside. The website has valuable information so, I had high hopes. However, upon my first visit to pick up my son they were outside waiting for ice cream truck (the staff hadn’t met or seen me yet) and because my son ran up to me, he was allowed to leave with me. No questions asked, no ID check, no verify it among paperwork. I walked up, he ran up to me, the teacher introduced herself and we left. The second time I came to the school, it was chaotic because parents were there to eat with their children - we walked into the building with two staff members wondering if a little girl who had gone outside by herself was with a parent or not, and the child wasn’t, the parent was still in the building looking for said child. I mentioned my distaste for the chaos to my sister who was recording the whole ordeal, stating I didn’t like the school and one of the ladies snapped at me and said, “what did you say.” If THAT’S not enough, the daycare won’t give me the paper work filled out for my son to attend for me to keep for my own personal records. For some reason, they have these wonderful computers and printers but no access to print or make copies of paper work in a timely manner (I’ve asked now 3 times in 3 months, and even gave some nice lady in the front office my email) but are adamant about needing my payment but I can’t get the requested paperwork, at least emailed to me??

I enrolled my daughter in I Can almost a year ago when she was 18 months old. I had checked out a few other child care facilities and I am so glad that I chose I Can. The most important thing for me when it came to choosing a child care facility for my daughter, after her safety of course, was the amount of emphasis placed on education. I didnt want her to be in a facility that just allowed her to play all day. From the moment I walked in to I can and indicated my interest in enrolling my daughter I was given a handout showing how former students scored on reading and math tests once they moved on to kindergarten and I was thoroughly impressed. They were the only facility to show me anything like that.The entire staff is also amazing. The all seem to know all of the children by name and to care very deeply for them. I could go on and on about how amazing of an experience my daughter has had at I Can. My family will be moving soon and I wish I could take the I Can staff with us.

Wow! Is all I can say. I have been teaching at at I Can for almost 3 years and I am very proud to be apart of the team, which to me feels more like a family. Needless to say, if i was a parent my child would be attending this school. I Can is more than just a place to drop your child off for the day, it is a home away from home for every child who steps in this building. The teachers have the warmest hearts and go above and beyond to care for each individual childs wants and needs. The director, Mrs.Tiffany Tanner-Stith selflessly opened I Can after realizing the absurd amount of children who were not prepared for kindergarten, during her time as an administrator. She provides an outstanding curriculum for students, preparing them for kindergarten through her Pre-K program. Each year, our former students continue to soar on the PALS test taken in Kindergarten, and this year a few children qualified to skip a grade! Tiffany is an outstanding mentor and supporter of all her teachers, alongside her mother, Mrs. Debbie. I love this establishment and highly recommend it to anyone who TRULY cares about their childs education and care.

Our daughter is about to graduate on to Kindergarten and I can still remember her first week at I Can almost 4 years ago. She jumped leaps and bounds in so short of a time that I knew I would do anything to keep her at I Can until she graduated. We went from a daycare that had a color of the month to a day care that helped our child learn the alphabet, primary colors, counting to 30, and even potty training all in just her first year.Our second child was also slated for I Can the second we found out my wife was pregnant. He too has grown into such a well developed toddler, at only 19 months!, which we can only contribute to I Cans wonderful curriculum and staff.I HIGHLY recommend if you want your child somewhere that will ensure they exceed the baseline requirements of Kindergarten that you consider sending them to I Can. Same goes for any future children we happen upon :)

This learning center is absolutely great!! I love coming to work every morning, and seeing the wonderful parents and their amazing children 😊 Ms. Tiffany and Ms. Debbie are amazing and very loving, I couldn’t ask for a better job and better coworkers ♥️

If I could put zero stars, I would. My son is turning two this Friday. I was told last Friday by Tina that there’s open availability for him on 15 July 2019. I had told her I would have to ask my husband who is overseas, I heard back with him through email and I called her around 530pm same day to accept, I told her I would have the registration fee ready for her Monday, today. I went there and Tiffany (after waiting about 8 minutes to get off her personal cellphone) stated I haven’t heard anything that you were on the list to be registered. I told her that I talked to Tina, I ended up leaving without a resolution.Now this is the second time this has happened. The first time was when I was asking for them to take care of my son when he was 1 month requesting for when he was 3 months for availability, when I had to go back to work. I was told he would be there, just to find out 3 weeks before he’s not even on the waiting list.I’m done. I’ve seen deserved karma to those who have treated me wrong, I hope the people who run this center don’t get what they deserve.EDITED: since I can’t reply to the reply. This reply was most likely made by the person I talked to right? Obviously it wasn’t the person who talked to me Friday (Tina) saying the registration fee is $100 dollars and to turn it in Monday. Your center made the mistake in the first place, not me. And if you can admit that you must admit to the first mistake, why would I make that up? Why would I forget that it was you? This center caused me to call other providers crying because I didn’t have enough time to get him in in time. So no, thank you for providing an INVALID response ICAN childcare. I was here when you were next to Bojangles I remember who talked to and I talked to your Mom to be put back on the waitlist at that time.Stop trying to act like you didn’t make a mistake in the first place, real great verbiage to act like I’m the one that’s confused. And it’s funny how 3 other reviews went up around the time of your reply. Goodness, all you, Tiffany, had to do was the right thing and apologize right then and there, called Tina to figure out what was going on and extend a big apology and make it right. I was livid yesterday, seeing the response and the other reviews, now I’m disgusted.

On my daughter first day in school we received a short note stating she needed to work on identifying 11 of the 26 letters in the alphabet. I was nervous my daughter was too behind and wouldnt catch up with the rest of her class, but Im proud to say that just 8 weeks later my daughter surprised me by reading one of her books on her own! I could hear her sound out the letters and eagerly say the words. My husband and I are so pleased with her teachers Ms. Hazel and Ms. Alexis! Our daughter has also learned how to write legible and is confident in pointing out letters and numbers as we driving around the city. Its amazing the work that has been done in only 2 months.The rest of the staff, is always friendly and involved with the kids. Highly recommend this school!

I feel I have to clarify a few incorrect statements posted by my sons mother Brittnee Collins. Brittnee first visit was not as she said. I Can staff are very serious about the safety of our child. They check I.Ds and phone numbers against the pickup list provided by the parents before they release the child into anyones care.The first time she came to pick up our son was during a family picnic thrown by I Can, in which I was there and introduced her to our sons teachers and the owners of I Can (Brittnee had a very nasty attitude toward the staff for no reason at all). During the picnic, I Can was not in chaos as mentioned by Brittnee. this is just another lie. I Can has had the paperwork she requested in an envelop waiting for Brittnee to pick it up. They offered to mail the paperwork but Brittnee responded very nasty No, email it. I Can personnel emailed the paperwork the same day. Every time Brittnee has come to I Can she has been very rude and disrespectful to the staff. I thank I Can staff for remaining professional in dealing with her. Brittnee recommended I Can to me, when I went for a visit I was immediately impressed. Brittnee recommended I Can to me, when I went for a visit I was immediately impressed. The facility is outstanding and the staff is amazing. Their curriculum is excellent, our son cant wait to tell me everything he learned when I pick him up. Please do not take what Brittnee wrote as a true reflection of I Can facility and staff.

Overall the facility, itself, is decent. The staff and their supposed curriculum is suspect. I dont about anyone reading this but my wife and I dont work our tails off for our income to be wasted at this LEARNING CENTER. The tuition they charge is absurd considering they have move time just about everyday. We are not paying them close to $1000 a month so they can show my child a movie!! For our family, that is a treat!Last point and probably the most important! I dont know who the director thinks she is to give any parent unsolicited advice on their child. She insulted both my child and wife on the reason why my child acts the way she does and why we need daycare. The director said, You shouldnt feel guilty about leaving your child here. You chose to work. Needless to say after that comment, my child does not attend I CAN CHILD CARE...***We asked around and apparently we are not the only parents she has done this to. We found at least 4 other parents the director has done this to.

My daughter went here last year for about 3 months. Her time here started out ok, then everything changed. She was not fully potty trained, and I found out they werent wiping her butt. That was very unacceptable. She came home and said one of the little boys kept touching her. We did have a meeting with the staff, and I thought things were going to get better. Then my wife was called and said my daughter broke out from sleeping on her cot. When I came to pick her up she had a bruise under her eye. I told the manager that it looks like she was hit. My daughter said a little girl hit her. Needless to say I had to take my daughter out of that place. Also for some reason my daughter would only pee on herself at daycare...I really thought that was weird. If you really want your child protected...please stay away from this place. They cannot be TRUSTED...

When I was looking for day cares for my daughter I was very hesitant. I looked in to a ton of day cares. Someone recommended I Can Child Care & learning Center. I decided on this Day Care. I couldn’t be happier. My daughter went in not potty trained at all. After a couple weeks she was fully potty trained, even when she slept. She has learned a lot here. She has learned how to read and write. She has learned so much with her time at I Can. The staff are very friendly and courteous. My daughter for one is very stubborn, they have taken their time to teach her the necessary academics to prepare her for kindergarten. My daughter loves going to I Can. She has so many friends and she loves all the staff, she always talks about the staff and how much she loves them. My daughter starts kindergarten next year , I’m going to be sad when she has to go. But I know she’ll do awesome when she starts school because, the staff at I Can have fully prepared her for her next step in her journey. Thank you to the staff at I Can.

Words cant express how much I appreciate the care provided to my child by these professionals. I was so sad to leave, especially knowing that I may not find this type of care again. Thank you Ican for a wonderful experience. Thank you for taking such good care of my child and for teaching her soooo much!!!!
