Reach cyber school, are very irresponsible, I started The process to enroll my daughter, in another school due to the lack, of communication and education that my daughter was receiving from reach cyber, once the other School got in touch with Reach cyber they disenrolled my daughter while she was in class, I personally went down to the school and spoke with miss Marcy Perez, which she then stated that she apologize and that my daughter will be reinstated in school until she is fully transferred into the other school, which unfortunately never happened, I had to go back-and-forth with the other school and making them aware of what reach cyber, did, so that it doesn’t cause any conflict for myself or my child. So no I do not recommend reach cyber to anyone.

Summary:1. Amazing staff2. First grade phonics program will have your child reading3. If your child has an IEP or needs extra help this is the school for you4. Steam program was funThis school has amazing teaching staff!! I taught my child online for the year schools were shutdown. So Giovanni did first grade with Reach Cyber out of Aston, PA. When I began teaching him he we ill equipped for first grade. His public school district Pen-Delco still believes in half day kindergarten and that it can create academically successful children….my son couldn’t count to 20 and didn’t know all his sounds…..With Reach Cyber your child gets one on one attention, whole group, small group, and academic support as needed. The curriculum aligned with our public school and was easy to follow. We were able to slow down or breeze through material. Giovanni also has an IEP for speech. Sarah, his speech teacher was amazing, heart felt, patient, etc. She increased his hours (something I didn’t have to fight for) and her one on one sessions paid off immensely. If you and your child are willing to do the work then this school goes above and beyond to meet you more than half way!Sorry so long.

It is so hard to get in touch with anyone for enrollment. Did not have luck so far getting in touch with anyone even after 2 hrs of hold time. So disappointed.

Definitely not appropriate for a kintergardener. Children who are still learning to write are expected to complete portfolio items where they have to rewrite an entire story or do 6 pages of science research and write multiple facts about a subject. Way too much overload especially when Im repeatedly told the goal by the end of kindergarten is for a child to be able to recognize 3 letter words but they expect them to write full sentences for many different lessons.

An amazing school all around. Teachers are always helpful, interactive, communicative, and understanding of their students. My brother goes here and we’re just disappointed we didn’t find this place sooner! I would’ve honestly also loved to go here as a kid.

My son is in 10th grade, and we love Reach! His teachers are available anytime, you can email, text, or call them for help. They constantly remind the students that they are here for THEM and want to help. Its totally different than our local school district. I would recommend Reach to anyone looking to cyber school.

I love this cyber charter school. At first I was concern that the work was too advanced for a kindergartener. I kept working with my daughter and would ask the teachers for advice. The teachers my daughter has are very friendly, understanding, and help to the best of their ability. My daughter caught on in no time and Now even she loves school too. I would highly recommend this school. If you have a real young child they will need a lot of help at 1st but they will catch on.

Reach Academy is great! They made transferring my son at the end of the year to their school very smooth and painless. They provided us a new laptop and printer to use for school because we didnt have one and we even get the ink at a discount. The teachers are very friendly and informative and have live lessons so if you have questions you can ask directly. They made us feel very welcomed and my son and I are excited about the upcoming school year. He will be attending the year round program which is just the grade at a slower pace so he will not be so overwhelmed with too many subjects at once. It is wonderful that they have many different options available to choose from.

Where to start? This school changed my life completely. Connections Academy can do wonders for a student (or possibly a family of students) currently in a traditional, brick-and-mortar setting that is not working out. I was a student at Connections Academy for 5 years. The things Ive learned, the skills Ive obtained, and the people that I worked with all culminate and make for an experience that I will take with me for the rest of my life. I learned communication skills that I can now use in the real world working as a Shift Leader and as a Behavioral Support Professional. Phone calls, e-mails, and meetings - fairly nontraditional communicative settings but vastly becoming a new societal norm / expectation far and wide. This setting doesnt come without its social challenges, though. While there are social opportunities available across the state, they are largely based in the south-central region and are hard to get to. The school can use a lot of assistance with social event coordination and planning for their students. For individuals that require a lot of social connections with their peers, its important that their Learning Coach works closely to provide that for their student. Keep in mind the school is up-and-coming, and I feel that this will be less of an issue in years to come. Educationally, this school offers so many opportunities to its students. Without pursing my secondary education at REACH, I would not have been able to take Chinese, AP courses in my freshman year, medical courses, or even been able to graduate as soon as I did. Its important to note, though, that the curriculum is fairly rigorous and requires students to be diligent and hardworking. This is where communication comes in - its key to your learners success. Without informing your instructor of things that you need assistance in, you will likely struggle. They dont know youre struggling unless you reach out to them. An open line of communication is vital. Aside from that, there are also many extracurricular opportunities (believe it or not)! Thanks to this school, I was able to establish and run a GSA as well as other clubs. Administration is wonderful and they really work with their kids. Its unlikely you will find professionals as dedicated as these ones elsewhere! Jane, the CEO, is one of the most down-to-earth individuals Ive ever had the pleasure of working with. Rachel, Director of Counseling, is another truly phenomenal individual I met as a consequence of being a student here. Bridget McDonald is incredibly dedicated as a school social worker. She is the type of person who loses sleep over her job just to make sure her students are in good health. Many of the other teachers are just as dedicated, and it makes for a truly one-of-a-kind experience. If you are considering changing educational careers, GO FOR IT, but keep in mind it is not for everyone. The only way to find out is to try. REACH is not a one-size-fits all school. They will work with you and accommodate your needs - something you dont find nowadays. Take advantage of this excellent resource. You can open yourself up to a WORLD of opportunity at this school. Its growing student population just reflects that this school is doing something right. (A gain of nearly 1,000 students per year is almost unheard of but REACH is doing it!) I could talk for days about this school, but whats the point when you could just experience it yourself?! Thank you, REACH, for all that you have done for me as an individual and student. Youre making a difference in PA families lives, and that stands for something.

A wonderful supportive environment where my girl has learned twice as much as she did in public school. All the teachers and staff get right back to us when we have questions and the live lessons are fun and engaging. So glad we chose Reach.

Dont waste your time my kids went here for about 2 months. It was terrible I left voicemails nobody would call back..they pretty much taught themselves the assignments. The kids can come to class online if they want there was no structure at all..they didnt like it and neither did I. You’re on your own if you like that, this is the perfect place for you.

Some teachers are great and helpful, others notso much. The Elementary Gym teacher has no idea what she is doing and doesnt follow her own syllabus. She is rude and lies. The school doesnt offer field trips in Allegheny County. The administration lies to parents, doesnt care what their teachers are doing or how they treat students. They barely get back to you when you call and dont gove you honest answers
