What a beautiful place to be, Glory to God that i found this place. Everyone there the staff are supper friendly and love the kids as there own. I interviews 4 other private schools I choose them because you can just tell they care about our kids.

Weird place. I recall Pastor Howie Van Dyke saying an imprecatory prayer to injure/maim whoever stole the iPod of head Pastor John Minnema’s son. He did this in front of all the boys in the middle and high school. I bet he wouldn’t have done that if it was a non-elite.

I must say that I am grateful to God for providing such a fine Christ-centered institution as Hawthorne Christian Academy. The teachers love what they do and they love the Lord! They also love our children😊‼️I have had two children graduate from the Academy extremely prepared academically to further their college careers. I love the diversity of the student body. There is truly a atmosphere of “family” here. I am sure that my last two children will also graduate from the Academy well prepared both academically and spiritually!

Amazing school, amazing community! Love and family values surround every person on this campus! God is the center of everything here!

As a rep from Lancaster Bible College, we are always impressed with Hawthorne Christian! Great staff and students. This is definitely a school that I would recommend and you will never regret the investment for this type of education for your child.

Great family environment with so many ways for parents to get involved. Teachers are great at integrating Christian world view into their daily academics. Staff is amazing at answering any questions and helping parents with anything they may need. Campus is safe, spacious and fun for any age.

Hawthorne Christian Academy is an outstanding school. Our family moved to Hawthorne from NYC 17 years ago just because of the school and it was the greatest decision we ever made. Both our girls (who are 10 years apart) started in kindergarten.Its an incredible place for elementary school children who are just beginning their educational journey. The foundation, academically, spiritually and musically that was given to our 2 girls was priceless. Every teacher and administrator could not be more loving, nurturing or Godly.It has an excellent and academically challenging middle school that has found the balance between emotional support of young teens and character building and accountability.The high school graduates prepared students who Love Jesus and serve the Lord both locally and globally.At HCA our children were taught and trained in the ways of Lord and encouraged to act with love, patience, and kindness towards others. It is worth every penny.

I can not begin to tell you how relieved and blessed our family is that we found such a phenomenal Christian school for our son and eventually our daughters will be attending as well. Our son absolutely loves loves loves the school, the teachers, the classes, the great friends he has made. The campus is absolutely beautiful. It far exceeded our expectations. Every time I pick up my son after school, I literally look around and have this huge sense of peace and thankfulness come over me. The academics are challenging for my son...which is great, it means he needs to apply himself and study! He has grown so much in just a year! Keep up the PHENOMENAL work HCA!

I have two children at HCA and can tell you that its a wonderful place! My children are learning, growing and feel safe & loved. It is very clear that the teachers truly love the children. The atmosphere is one that resembles a family more than just a school. I would recommend it highly!

K-12 quality education. Artificial turffed soccer field is a huge plus.

We moved to NJ 3 years ago from the west coast with 2 High School aged girls. Could have been a disaster, but HCA truly folded them right into the HCA family. They have something for every kid: academics, sports, music, Bible, art, student leadership and clubs. No shortage of ways to develop passion. I believe the small school environment gives greater opportunities for participation. My oldest went to college as nearly a Sophomore due to the credits she received after AP exams. She was obviously prepared and loves Jesus!

HCA is not a good school socially and relationally. The board/teachers care more about “dress code”, gym tests, and friendly hugs to the opposite gender rather than the dangerous students who don’t belong in the school (but they stay because they want their money), bullying, and many more extremely important things. They tend to favor certain students over others for their family’s social status in the school. They will address the small “problems” such as a skirt 3 inches above the knee instead of 2 inches and parking too close to the school, but not the bigger social problems in classes or between students and other personal student things. The amount of good teachers in the school is few, especially in the high school. It is disappointing to see a school that I once thought was amazing become such a burden. Just because it is a Christian school does not mean everyone is Christian/practices a Christ Centered life.

My daughter went to HCA for 3 years, from PreK (2 years) through Kindergarten, and would have gone all the way through 12th grade if we didnt have to move away. We loved everything about this school. The teachers are warm and friendly, the faculty and staff are very personal, and the environment is safe and clean. I would give 10 stars if I could, they are that good. If you are looking for a school that will instill good Christian values along with a top-notch education, then this is the school for you. You, and your kids, wont regret it!

We are so grateful to be a part of the Hawthorne Christian Academy Family. Our son began as a fourth grader at HCA and is now in high school. Our only regret is that we didnt find the school sooner. HCA provides a strong foundation for our young people as early as Preschool, grades 1-5, grades 6-8 and expands throughout high school. The emphasis on Christian principles, biblical studies, rigorous academics and extra-curricular activities are the core of what make HCA so GREAT! The staff is incredible and extremely helpful. HCA has truly been a blessing to our family.

I have 2 children attending HCA (8th grade and 11th grade.) They are both surrounded by God loving teachers and staff. They are encouraged daily to work hard, lean on the Lord and be a light for the Lord. While all events encompass what HCA is about, if you are considering HCA I encourage you to come to the Thanksgiving Chapel which focuses on the seniors. I am sure you will instantly fall in love with HCA when you see the Godly, mature, intelligent young adults that HCA has nurtured.
