Our son loves HCC. They are like his second family and he always leaves in a happy mood. The teachers and staff are great and we trust they will take great care of our little guy. Having food included with tuition is great perk that saves us a ton of time.

HCC has been there for my family since 2018. The staff work hard to make sure my kids have a safe place to go every day. Through COVID they have taken every precaution to ensure there are no outbreaks and can stay open for us. We are forever grateful!!

My child attended HCC from age 3 - 5. Weve had a great experience with the center and highly recommend it to anyone looking for child care. Many of the teachers have been with HCC for 10+ years (and in many cases, 20+) - its so rare to see that kind of longevity in child care centers! My child has learned social, emotional, and academic skills that are age appropriate and really enjoys the play-based curriculum at HCC.

We are so thrilled to have our son here. The teachers have been phenomenal. Our son is learning vital social skills as well as working toward academic readiness. Staff take an interest in all students. Even those who dont teach my son know his name and things he likes. The staff helps to create a sense of community by their interaction with the families of the children who attend; its not uncommon for staff to ask me about my day and my job. While were at work, we wouldnt want our son anywhere but Herndon Childrens Center.

Our son is in the senior infant class and we have been impressed since day one. From teachers, to staff, to management- everyone is super positive and seems to work incredibly hard to ensure a loving and enriching environment for the kids.We are also impressed that the toys are moved in and out as the kids in the class grow older, assuring they will have developmentally appropriate play.Finally, the communication has been great and we feel we have a firm command on our sons time there.

Great non-profit day care center. Low teacher to student ratio and the teachers are always engaged with the children. They focus on a fun play based education that builds social skills and friendships. My daughter loves the teachers and the school.

My son has a wonderful time in HCC. They have big indoor movement room so that my son can still have sufficient activity even though the weather is not good. The teachers and staffs are like family. My son loves his teachers. He learned dance, counting, color, good manner, etc. from HCC. Going to HCC the next day is his big motivation to go to bed at night. :) We will send our little son to HCC as well.

My daughter has been attending Herndon Childrens Center for more than 3 years and she loves it! Her teachers are amazing, she is learning so much, and she is excited about going to school every day. The director is passionate about making HCC the best that it can be for the kids, teachers, and parents. Her passion and energy has led to positive changes in the curriculum, offerings, and the environment. The student-teacher ratio is another thing that makes HCC stand out from the schools in the area. HCC has small classes with engaged teachers who are passionate about teaching and love working with kids. Its an all around great school!

Our son, James, has attended HCC for the past three years and is currently enrolled in preschool. We are incredibly happy with the experience hes had at every single level. The teachers are wonderful, caring individuals who truly care about each and every child. My wife and I feel that James has grown tremendously in his verbal and cognitive skills as a result of the play-based learning approach that is utilized at the school. They give individualized attention to each kid and have much lower student-to-teacher ratios than one might find elsewhere. The administration is great--the new center director (Ms. Cornelia) and the longtime assistant director (Ms. Yvanna) are very approachable and are making a world of difference--we love the recent changes theyve been making to improve the center and its community outreach.FWIW, I am not a member of the schools board and have no other vested interest in the school other than my sons welfare and education. I encourage anyone who is looking for childcare options to visit HCC and talk with the staff and other parents who currently have kids enrolled there.
