These guys are absolutely great. I found them online looking for some impossible to get guitar strings. I needed some 8 string baritone Elixirs which have been discontinued for the foreseeable future due to lack of material. They had several sets on hand which I was able to purchase immediately and were shipped to me with lightning quick speed from Chicago to WA. Customer service is fantastic as I needed to speak to them a few times to order several packs of these strings. Their call back time is fast and the staff beyond courteous. These guys are helpful in every way possible. I will definitely be back!

Dumped an unsellable $1900 Chicago blues box on me after my gear had been stolen.I took the amp back the next day and they told me Id take a $600 loss.They knew why I brought it back and they stuck me with it. Didnt even offer an alternate!Not interested in artist or musicians only in it for the $Pompous, elite and unprofessional!Beware, once they got your money you are SOL.

Music School is very good. Been going there for several years. Bill U. is a great teacher. High end music store has lots of new and used guitars. Bands and teachers are good. Our band (class) has been together for years there.

I own a Jackson SL4 MIJ, made in around 2002. It has a Floyd Rose tremolo that for years I had problems with but the guitar tech at Music Gallery did an amazing job on it, as good as Ive ever seen it. So I wanted to express my appreciation and recommend Music Gallery in Highland Park to anyone who is looking for instrument service or repairs.

Best little music shop on the north shore. Frank and the staff are great and they have a fantastic selection. They mostly deal I fender electric, but I have purchased 3 acoustic guitars from them and they really know their stuff. Fair prices also.

I definitely recommend this place. Frank and Laurie, the owners, are friendly and well informed. I stopped by to check out RainSong carbon guitars. These are expensive instruments and kind of an aspiration for me. They have a nice selection of them and gave me all the time I wanted with no pressure. Along with the usual collection of more modestly priced instruments, they offer Taylor, Martin and MacPherson They also have a nice selection of electrics including lots of Fenders and some from PRS. They have a refreshingly large selection of parts, from knobs all the way up to replacement necks. They even do online lessons.

An absolute gem! Frank (owner) and his staff (Matt, George, et al) have been there FOREVER and are all about customer service. From extremely high end (like extremely!), to catering to the beginner, they are motivated to support musicians! If you are looking for a guitar or amp, and shop local means anything to you, this amazing shop is absolutely worth a look see. I couldnt recommend it more highly!

Exceptional in every possible way. An extremely upscale brick and mortar shop with some of the friendliest staff. Being new to the guitar world, these people who sell guitars that cost more than most cars on a day to day, made me feel welcome and treated me with the up most respect. Although Im a ways away from the level of most of the guitars there, they have a great selection of entry level guitars from top brands and accessories with prices that rival if not beat online. Definitely a wonderful business. I look forward to being a customer for years to come.

Im an advanced drummer and had a good experience working with the drum teacher (M.S.) that I met with at the Music Gallery. However, the shop owners were less than professional. The equipment was unsatisfactory to take lessons on. I had to start bringing my own drum thrown. Along with that the bass drum pedals along with the hi hat mechanism were in poor condition. When I confronted the owner he got angry at me for bringing it and said it was my teachers problem. In a community such as Highland Park its embarrassing. I would not recommend this location to work with. With all this being said they have ended the relationship with who I feel is one of the best drum teachers in the area. Its very much their loss! I continue to work with him at another location.

I just picked up my Fender Telecaster Elite Thinline this morning. I had it in to be Plekd and setup. What a phenomenal job George did. The guitar is so much more playable. I cant thank you enough. I am now a lifelong customer. I should add that the guys working behind the counter are super friendly and helpful.

Brought my G&L to be plekd and set up and its pretty much just buttery beauty now, highly recommend to any of those interested. Mine was done extremely quick as well. George is the man.

I have worked with Mat over the years and Ive always told my friends that hes the best guitar teacher I know. If youre willing to pay just a little bit more, it will be well worth your time.

I have known Frank at MG for too many years to count...that being said I have purchased guitars, amps, speakers, pedals, wireless units, repair/installations and on & on. His CS skills & networking are at the top of the scale. Thats the reason hes been in the biz for so many years (and why his tutelage has rubbed off on his former employees. A hard act to follow indeed.
