I could write a novel about how amazing this gym is, but I’ll TRY to keep it short and sweet. I trained at a different gym for a year that wasn’t a good fit for my son who has Autism and I. I train 5-6 days a week, and With the flexibility of the class schedule; I can balance home life while excelling at jiujitsu. Formiga and Rodrigo are amazing professors, from the moment you walk in the door you are treated like family and it’s not an act. They even offered to help me move. They are kind and compassionate to my son, and I have excelled exponentially since joining this gym. There are beginner classes, kids classes, and advanced classes. Everyone here wants YOU to be successful, and you’re constantly rolling with the best of the best. If you’ve been looking into a gym and been on the fence. This is the place. Take a leap, and you will never regret it. This is the place to roll hard, train hard, and grow.

If youre a pro, youll have a hard day. If youre a novice, youll have a hard day. And then when we take pictures, everyone is asking if youre coming back tomorrow. We have the best coach, his humanity, his humility and attention to detail. Formiga and Rodrigo also teach with the Socratic method, so all questions are addressed when brought up. This gym is an amalgamation of philosophy, discipline and practicum. With all that said, this is a safe place. We are one big family, in the literal sense. We have amazing wives, mothers and children that truly support all of us. I know I have become a better man just because I train at Double Five HV. Everyone is welcome here and I mean everyone. You will get better in heart, mind, soul and Jiu-Jitsu. The facility is perfect, with a changing rooms, showers and a sauna. We have class everyday of the week so you can always get you roll on. Professor Rafael is one of the absolute top teachers, competitors, and most importantly ambassador of the sport who does his best to bring people together through jiu jitsu. The academy is easily found via Google Maps and they have great signage. The academy is clean and has lots of mat space. Highly recommend!

Three weeks in and absolutely loving my experience here and learning so much. Everyone is very friendly and desire to learn from one another. But dont make any mistake in thinking friendliness isnt going to be a workout and training session that will kick you butt into shape. Im gasping for air by the end of class.

We recently made a change to our kids Jiu Jitsu school. Its hard making a change when they got settled in at one place to begin with but even kids can tell change is needed. We looked at variety of schools within 30 minutes from our house and they tried out in some schools. From the beginning, my kids felt so engaged and happy at Double Five Jiu Jitsu. I look at Jiu Jitsu for my kids as a 2nd education, to protect them selfs, to learn a fun sport and find other good mentors other than mom and dad to guide them to better futures. Professor Formiga, explains with detail, patience, care and always 100% full attention. My kids get so bummed out on Fridays now because they cant got Double five to train 🤣🤣, they wake up every Monday pumped because its time for Jiu Jitsu. We look forward for our kids to grow older at this school and build a foundation with Formiga and Rodrigo.
