SkyView Academy has been a fantastic school for our three children. All three have been challenged by the rigor of the school and yet they have excelled academically and thrived. When moving on to high school they were well ahead of their classmates in the mainstream schools and were ready to jump into honors and AP courses. Aside from academics our children have been taught on a daily basis about investing in the community around them and how to be honorable leaders, which is huge to us! This school really is about focusing on the entire student and they care. The teachers and administration are incredible! We highly recommend it to anyone seeking a great place to send their children!

Ive gone here for 10 years, and it started out pretty okay. teachers seemed to care and it was more or less a good place to go. In the past few years, however, the staff has had many controversies, with a huge shift in teachers. The covid pandemic was poorly handled, the math and science department has been severely lacking in good teachers, and many educators have began to corrupt a previously friendly environment. I have many good memories here, but the quality of the school and its staff has fallen greatly since around 2018. I wouldnt recommend it to people with mental health issues, or to parents who are frustrated by a consistently changing staff. Its not terrible, but you can do better.

I mean, its a great school but there is a whole workload of homework to do and it is very overwhelming. The teachers are very nice though. Bullying is not usually a problem just a little verbal fight between kids here and there. The only reason I gave SkyView Academy 4 stars is because of the over piling homework.

I have been at this school for 5 years and the school is great! I am able to communicate with my teachers and they are great at making relationships with students. The courses may be a little harder, but it is worth the push to prepare for next level learning. The activities they provide give a lot of opportunities to connect with other students, too.

It’s ok, some of the people here are strict.There is also way to much homework.The uniforms are way to tight and small, their sizes need to go up higher.over all it’s a good school, but middle school and up get better food than elementary.

Our three kids are at Skyview. Our oldest has been there since it opened. We absolutely love the school - the smaller environment and parental involvement is great. The teachers and administration are very dedicated to our kids success. While theyve had homework, it hasnt been overwhelming for any of them. Our kids arent crazy about the uniforms, but as a parent, were happy with them. It helps keep the kids on an even playing field for attire (unlike our childhood schools). As a side note, having three kids at one school saves on commuting time too! :)

This is a very academically challenging school, there are many AP and honors classes offered and there is a lot of SAT preparation that takes place. I transferred out of SVA last year in order to graduate early. I met many great mentors here such as the biology teacher and girls basketball coach. I was also able to participate in a number of extracurriculars at the same time with minimal conflict. However, the administration is not equipped to deal with a variety of issues. There was a number of anti-semitic graffiti left un dealt with. Not only this, but it is toxic for those struggling with mental health issues. Transferring was the best thing that I couldve done for my mental health.

It is a great school and the teachers are really nice and caring. I learned a lot from Skyview, that are not only facts, but how t write good argumentative essays, studying skills, and also public speaking(Leadership) in middle school

Okay, so I went to this school for 2 years, 4th and 5th grade. The workload for that age is absolutely insane; I wasnt able to keep up with anything. The kids who went to this school bullied me, and even though I tried to speek up to anyone about it, they just said Well take care of it and the bullying resumed. So now because of this my self-esteem is in complete ruins.I seriously cannot recommend this school to anyone who wants their life to be a good one.

If you dont volunteer to help traffic during pick up and drop off, SkyView call Childrens Protection Services and reports you as a bad parent.

When I was still in fourth grade, the teachers criticized me and the kids wouldnt let me swing with them. It hurt my feelings and most of the staff were incredibly rude. Plus, the uniforms are too tight for me and they are very uncomfortable to wear all day.They gave way too much homework, I stayed up until maybe 12 am and it ruined my fourth grade experience for a long time. The math was a little too much for me, even if it tried to teach me something.The only good thing about this school is that I dont have to do the pledge of allegiance every day and that one of my homeroom teachers was the nicest teacher (and one of my favourites) ever. I would give this one and a half stars if I could. They taught me a lot, but the bads overweigh the goods from a heavy ration.

When I was a highschool freshman I had a horrible experience at this school and quickly transferred out of the school. While the school is not an openly christian school thats what they are at their core. On more than one occasion my english teacher tried to preach the bible to the class rather than teach it as a piece of literature. When the teacher and administration were confronted with this problem they did nothing to resolve it and the teacher continued to preach the bible how she saw fit. They also have a very bad bullying issue that the administration does nothing about even when parents get involved. The administration simply states that it will be dealt with and does nothing. If you or your student are an accelerated learner or are advanced in any subjects this is most definitely not the school for you. They do not let you take the class that you need and instead put you in the standard classes for your grade level even if they have the opportunity to put you into the class that you need.

I wasnt greeted with a smile from the ladies behind the glass they looked at me up and down and well first warning sign. The director seemed like she didnt care one teacher in a classroom was on her phone. From other reviews seems like theres alot of bullying and school does nothing to help. Maybe money is the only motivator
