WORST school in my opinion , my daughter was called to the office and be getting detention for nothing , they called her down and called her a “Liar” multiple times , blamed stuff on her when she was the one who did not do anything wrong , principal and vice principal ‘mr baquero’ called my daughter “Liar” multiple times like i said earlier , once my daughter lost something the school didn’t do nothing about it but when someone else looses something they start acting like the world is ending . I do not recommend this school to any children . My daughter has payed attention to her 7th grade math class and after she asks questions the teacher (Mable Gonzalez) gets super mad for asking a question . I do NOT recommend .

My daughter recently had a horrible experience with one of the English teachers, asking them to please consider students when assigning assignments over the weekend and making many time consuming assignments over the week, she then began to insult my daughter and when my daughter came to the counselor I was baffled at how childish and immature the counselor proceeded to be in a conversation that supposedly was “enlightening” my child. I have never, in my years encountered such a blasphemous experience with a adult that is supposed to take care of students concerns and mental health seriously do that and not get fired. Will be transferring her online.

Please do not ever go here, I went to the bathroom before lunch and saw a rat being eaten alive by ants in the sink. I totally lost my appetite

Bad schools teachers don’t teach well especially Mable Gonzales math teacher she gets angry when you don’t understand rude very strict when you ask for help and she gets angry and the principle is also rude she bangs on bathroom stall doors WHILE YOU ARE USING IT school bathroom is missing soap dispensers and bathrooms are dirty

School is horrendous bathroom and situation wise multiple fights happen and multiple issues are bad there from smoking to drugs to fights and academic wise there is certain teachers that care about you and your future but others give you bad vibes and dont even care they will just give you a assignment to do and not give help or encouragement. cafeteria is also a mess you have kids throwing food like its a circus and multiple incidents happened there too. Their way of salving problems is horrendous too not to mention the Covid-19 virtual learning situation there is multiple twists and turns within the website they use and takes a long time to download/turn in assignments and most teachers once again take advantage of the situation and grade your assessments last minute and mistake it so you dont have time to e-mail the teacher and fix the situation the best thing about this school is their athletics program (which is why i put 2 stars instead of one) but overall i wouldnt recommend sending your child to this school.

Great school!! All if my children have attended this school when they transitioned from Charter School at Waterstone. The administration is Awesome! The teachers Rock! They make learning fun and interactive! They really care! I could have not been more delighted on the education they received. This school is truly a gem 💎 in Homestead!!

I had to come here for a year and let me tell you... This is not a school for everybody. I felt left out 100% of the time I walked in. The only help I received was a schedule change. An example of no help is when I asked for an online class and they refused to give it to me. Mind you I always got As my final grades are also all As. Student body is not the best. Wouldnt recommend for students who care about school and want to achieve something. Another thing there is smoking at this school, Im talking about bathrooms and even in classes at times. Instead of enjoying my last year of middle school... I was really just waiting for it to be over. The teachers are good, they just need to teach better and give the students more of a challenge. If it wasnt for a friend I had coming with me I wouldnt had gotten a single someone to talk to. I left this school with nothing new. Just felt like whenever I was there it was pointless. School is very dis-organized.... there were holes in walls, bathrooms being shut down, broken basketball hoop stands, holes in walls, and even leaks in walls. If your planing on coming here and you strive in school and care about it dearly let this be your last option. Not everybody has the same experience but I did. I want to like my school, I want to have a challenge to get good grades, I want opportunities, I want a student body who I can talk to, I wanted a good experience. But after this year I have left the school and will start high school somewhere else. Finally, I did not enjoy this school and will not recommend. This is me just keeping it simple...

There was misunderstanding caused by the school and they need to update there processes. I am the custodial parent and due to covid19 had some changes in work and income and chose this school from others in the area temporarily. Little did I realize the drama they would create unnecessarily later when I tried to remove my child from the school. They claimed it was policy, however there are appropriate ways to go about things and then there are inappropriate ways... there were 3 different occurrences that caused much upset in my daughter during her school day, and also caused friction between her father and I. Some of the staff was apologetic and took responsibility for their actions, yet the principal herself Marrero refused to take any responsibility, blaming us for the situation that they in fact caused. I would highly recommend you read the school policies very carefully before sending your child to this school. My experience with the administration and their processes were not good to say the least. If I was asked to recommend this school, I would decline.

EPA is amazing! From the office staff to the Teachers to the Custodians. As soon as you enter the school you feel welcomed and they answer any questions you might have. The Teachers are eager to help at all times with some exceptions. I will recommend EPA to everyone.

EPA has been excellent with my daughters education! The teachers as well as the office staff are the best.Would recommend in a heartbeat!

I love the school because they have very friendly teachers and administrators and their security is top notch. They do help the students and strive for the students to become everything they want to be . They are relatively a new school and they have come far in improving their strategies and implementing regulations that help the students and parents. They are a couple of kinks to iron out but for the most part they have their students best interest in mind.

Most of the students in the review are just hating on the school. With my experience it seems a bit easy to pass, but they dont kid when they say some teachers got to go. For 3 years, its been a 1/3 of bad teachers, mainly in the Math and Science classes. I would give this 4 stars because of two main issues, Bathroom is dirty and gets clogged probably everyday, and two for the teachers.

The school has such pride you can feel it when visiting the kids are well behaved and the teachers really seem to enjoy being teachers. It is a great environment and I would recommend it for your high school kids!

Personality, I havent been to this place but my cousin has. They give too much homework and the teachers are strict/rude. Some teachers have favorites and dont care about the rest. Ms. Gonzalez (math) is one of the strict teachers, sometimes you can barely understand her and she gives 10 minutes to do your work. If i could i would give it no stars for how bad it is. The lunch is also terrible so i recommend for your kid to bring lunch.

I like the school. I have to say it is a charter school so they dont let anything slide like regular public school do. Lunch is bad though. I recommend students to bring their lunch. Office staff are pleasant and they work with you. I recommend this school to anyone.

I’ve been attending EPA since middle school and the staff and teachers are like family. Not only do they take care of our intelectual development, they also listen to us and give us advice when we need it.

The teachers got better the food got way better the principal got way better but just lot of drama and annoying kids.Dis Anthony Ibanez

Worst school Ive ever been to, the teachers are horrible, theres absolutely too much drama and the staff dont help at all to prevent it. I didnt learn nothing at this school. The lunch is disgusting. The toilets dont even flush correctly💀. I could go on, but this is probably the worst school Ive been to in all of Florida, I recommend any school over this one!

Worst school Ive ever been to, I hate it and everything about it, Ive had it to the point where Im transferring schools. I hate ALL the teachers theyre so aggy. The food sucks, and they are so strict on the dumbest things. And also theres LOTS of drama. So Id be careful if you think about going to that school, but of course they never show the bad side of the school.

I really like the school because of the people but the lunch is really horrible the pizza says oven baked when it’s microwaved and really disgusting the only good food there is the pizza dippers but everything else is very disgusting the school is very strict.

I DECIDED TO ENROLL MY CHILD IN THIS SCHOOL, BY RECOMMENDATION OF FRIENDS AND FAMILY MEMBERS. IT TURNED OUT THAT THE PERSON WHO ATTENDED ME, MS REYES, IS THE MOST RUDE PERSON I HAVE KNOWN, ARROGANT. AND WITH ALL THE DESPISE THAT CHARACTERIZES IT, HE TOLD ME THAT THERE WAS A WAITING LIST, THAT I COULD TAKE IT TO ANOTHER SCHOOL. WHEN I KNOW THAT IT REALLY IS NOT SO. IT IS A PITY.
