We have been part of the Covenant family for more than 14 years. Our first child went to the Valleydale campus and we loved the experience so much that our second child attends the Homewood campus years later. What a great school. I love the biblical education as well as preparing my child to start school. The staff love the children and my child is excited to go to school and see her teachers. As a parent, this makes me happy and I know we choose the right Daycare & School for our child.

I waited a couple of years to give my review of the Covenant Classical (Homewood Location). Because, I really needed to give an honest comparison to other Daycares and experiences. If your child is already excelling and hitting the noted milestones, they you may be okay. My child started here, right before his 3rd birthday and was barley speaking and not potty trained. After only being there for a couple of months, I was brought into the Directors office, to be presented with a list of things that my child was not doing. I was like this was his first time away from us and he just started. They were very cold and my child came across as just a number. They were saying he should be doing this and he should be doing that. It took everything out of me to stay calm. I was furious. His teacher always seemed nice, and always said he was doing well. But, this meeting with the Director and Classroom Coordinator told a different story. My child is a hands on learner and this was clearly not the place for him. He never smiled or played there. Just a blank look, every time I picked him up. And, he loves playing and smiling! Something wasnt right with him there. The teacher said we have 20 plus kids in his class and we just cant spend too much one on one time with your son. He went on to the Goddard School in Hoover and was treated with a lot of love and then everything started falling into place. We have since moved out of town, and he now attends a public school and doing well. I hope, within the last 2 years, that this place has changed from the boot camp style environment and reflect/behave upon the beautiful scriptures on those walls. Every child learns and adapts differently, and they should be taught accordingly.

Great school! The teachers are attentive, everything is clean, and the security is great. I should say the location on the google map is wrong! The school is in Edgewood.
