Principal Ms. Tabor run this public elementary school like a private school. She is big on promoting the art of mindfulness. Students, teachers, parents, office staffs and even the custodians all buy into this. Children and their education are the focus of the school. A few years back when the state faced budget constrain and furlough school days were introduced. Ms. Tabor didnt accept the fact. She didnt sit and complained. She tried every angles she can think of to get around the situation. Can we have longer school days on the non-furlough days? Can teacher volunteer to teach on the furlough Fridays. If Friday no cant, can teacher volunteer to teach on Saturday, a non-working day....The teacher union rejected all of these proposal. Ill forever remember this and know where Ms. Tabor stands.

Great neighborhood, excellent leadership, well run PTA that puts on quality events. Class sizes are large, but assistant teachers make sure the information taught reaches all the kids.

Da kid went to this great school. I got to work here a time or two too.
