My daughter started Five Star Montessori at the age of 4 months and graduated Kindergarten at the Forkland location. The staff at Five Star were/are fantastic. My daughter has excelled in school and was advanced in reading compared to other children her age. As my only child, I have strong feelings about who takes care of her. The director of Five Star left such an impression that I never worried about her, her safety, her education, or her happiness. My wife and I both work full time; I feel the director looked after and cared for my daughter as only a true family member could have. I fully recommend Five Star Montessori for any parent.

My son has been at 5 Star since last summer and we all love it! He cant wait to go every day and I feel comfortable with them taking care of him while I have to work. He is my third child but this is my first experience with child care outside of the home and I have been very impressed. We love 5 Star!

Our son went to Five star Montessori for almost a year from when he was 10 months old. Most of his teachers were great and nurturing. They genuinely cared for our family and were very accommodating of our needs. We withdrew because we wanted him to be in the same school with his older sibling and for logistics. We definitely miss his life while he was there. The only main concern we had, was how often his teachers changed. But regardless of whom it was, they were very respectful and caring.

My oldest son attended Five Star Montessori when he was 3 years old and graduated kinder there before transferring into the public school we were zoned to for first grade. My youngest son currently attends Five Star Montessori.I am still pleased with the level of education both boys have received. Ms. Becky is very attentive to the kids and provides excellent feedback. The boys loved her has a teacher and they have grown and learned so much. The director is very friendly and someone always says hi to the kids when we walk in, which adds to a more personal-family away from home touch.I am a huge proponent of the Montessori way of teaching. They teach based on the childs skill level. I also like the parents and students in the class. We have developed strong relationships with the kids and parents. I highly recommend taking your kids here!

We loved this school from day 1 and were very confident our kids would be perfectly taken care of. Even though my oldest is in 2nd grade now, he loves to go back to Five Star everyday to pick up his brother and see the Director, Miss Stacey. My youngest is happy to go there everyday and loves his teacher. I can see he is learning a lot and how much progress he has made this year. Highly recommend this school!

I am so delighted my grandsons first experience in education is at Five Star Montessori! He has attended for over a year now, and has grown so much.I am very pleased with love and care he receives from the moment he enters in the morning until the moment he leaves for the day. Administration is always friendly, courteous and helpful, especially when hes not feeling well. That means alot to his parents and to me.As for his Montessori education, I cannot begin to express the level of gratitude and appreciation I have for his Montessori teacher and assistants. I have been a Montessori teacher for over 30 years, and chose this school for him personally. He has truly been immersed in all that Montessori is. It has shown in his growth, not only academically, but most importantly as a young human being with a huge heart and soul... the whole child.I highly recommend this school for a solid Montessori education.Thank you Five Star!

Our 2 boys have been attending Five Star for 18 months and we could not be happier with the staff and the facility. We toured many Montessori / early education schools when moving to Houston, and Five Star was our top choice. Our kids are thriving, the staff is remarkably friendly & kind, and the educational quality is top notch 💯

Awesome school! The directors and admin staff are absolutely wonderful. They are always available to address any concerns and respond to them in such a timely matter. Them, along with the teachers are so friendly and you can tell they have genuine love and caring for the children. Many of the children start the school as infants and grow up here. They consistently go above and beyond to make sure all the childrens needs are met. I cannot recommend this school enough, they are one of the best child care facilities I have encountered.

My three children attended Five Star in the Toddler, Transition and After School programs. I was impressed from the start. When my two younger ones transitioned from Five Stars kindergarten program they were easily excepted to the advance program in HISD. I would high recommend Five Stars Montessori program.

I highly recommend this school. My daughter loves it and has learned a lot going here. They take wonderful care of her and she she enjoys it so much she will even ask to go to school on weekends. The teachers are great and the staff is wonderful as well. I like how they have screens in the front office for parents to pop in and see how their child is doing without disrupting the class.

This place is amazing. The staff is friendly and helpful. The property is always clean, inside and out. The staff is on point; if your kid is not on their bus for after school pick-up from their school, they will call you. The way they handle business is admirable and the director, Stacy is always smiling, always checking on rooms, and willing to help anyone with anything. Although this place is a classy high-end montessori school, the tuition rates are one of the best in the area (surprisingly), and offer discounts for certain businesses. They offer extra curricular activities such as ballet, soccer, and other sports, as well as have annual pictures taken. Tuition schedule is flexible based on your needs. There is a code to get into the door, and a sign in and out computer. And it always smells like a bakery! The playground is huge and has separate play areas for the different age groups. I tried other daycare centers in the area, but my daughter was only happy at this one. She was able to do her homework and get help from the staff before I picked her up, leaving a lot more free time to be with her before bed. I recommend all children go to this daycare/school.

My children have grown up going to Five Star Montessori since they were 6 months old, they are now 7 and 8 years old. Now they are in elementary school, but look forward to the summer so they can attend the Summer Camp Program at Five Star. I always have peace of mind when my children are at Five Star knowing that they are safe, learning something new, and having a great time. I really appreciate everything that Five Star offers.

My son went to that school for a while. That is the worst school I have seen. The teachers take the kids to the play area at 8:45am. The kids play there for around 2 and a half hours. The teachers do NOT do ANY activity or teaching. They just stand guarding the kids. Some kids play, but the rest of the kids just stand around. I have seen many kids do NOT even move 10 ft. They just stand around. The kids dont learn anything there - no potty training, no learning about eating or drawing or anything. It is a total waste of money and the kids very important growth/learning time.Beware...

Five Star Montessori School is very family oriented enviornment. The administration, teachers, and families make you feel right at home. The teachers work hard to provide students with opportunites to excel at their own pace and the administration do their best to attend to your concerns. Five Star Montessori resembles its name as a Five Star School.

If you are looking for a school that is more than a day care, this is THE SCHOOL for your child. My daughter started Five Star Dec 2014 and has grown so much since then. The teachers are like second mothers to all the children there. The school has a fantastic regime that helps children learn as they grow. My daughter went from crawling to walking, from walking to running and talking and now having conversations and potty trained by 2 years old. These teachers are truly quality teachers that are caring and loving on all of the children there. They have great communication skills and are very experienced in teaching children. It’s a safe and secure environmentActivities and learning for 1-3 year olds : learn abcs, counting, words and Spanish before they are 2 yrs oldThe teachers are very aware of each and every one of the children. They celebrate their achievements and discipline in a loving way. The children listen and become very astute beyond what is expected of them.I am so proud of who my child has become with the leadership and education that Five Star has provided.

My daughter attended Five Star starting at age 3, and we left recently(she just turned 5) due to our move. She learnt a lot from the school and had no problem being admitted to HISD Kindergarten GT program (Barbara bush elementary). They have nice Christmas program as well as teach parents nights where you get to know what your child learn at the school.Teachers are patient and very responsive to our requests.I highly recommend five star and the Montessori method.DD

My son attended this daycare for 5 weeks. He was 2 years and 2 months at the time. I am going to try to state the facts so that you can make your own educated opinion. Before I sent my son here, I read a lot of reviews, most of them positive. After visiting the center I really liked the installations so I decided to enroll my son there. In the time he was there, I never received a craft, art or anything done by him. I never saw him sitting painting or doing any manual activity for that purpose. Also, I never received a photo of what he was doing during the day.Every time I picked him up or drop him off, his class was always playing outside in the playground (this is in Houston summer weather of >90F) needless to say he was always red and dehydrated. I brought a water bottle for him everyday and he will go back home with the bottle still full. Which only makes me think they never offered water to him. Also by the fact, he got very constipated during that time and in a couple of occasions he went back home with a dry diaper. The teachers in the morning were never there in the afternoon, they were always rotating their staff and also my son was also constantly changed between rooms without me being notified.Every week the teachers will tell me they were not going to be there the following week, so I had to ask on a weekly basis who the teachers were. The student/teacher ratio is one of the highest I have seen for two year old (11 students for one assistant). In average his class had between 19 and 22 students and only two assistants. The staff is only required to have a high school diploma, they said they get additional certifications; however, I found that hard to believe. In a couple occasions I asked the teacher how she will handle different situations with the kids, and they were not able to answer me.Two days the fire alarms went off and the kids had to spend the day hearing a loud alarm going on and off. As expected, all the kids were stressed and the teachers and assistants didnt knew what to do other than run around. I dont want to think what will happen in the case of a real emergency. Finally, This is not a cheap daycare. I will strongly suggest you think twice before sending your kids here as I dont think you will get value for what you are paying. My son didnt learned anything in more than a month. His class was also mixed with one year old as well as older kids, this is very worrying as they were not all the same age in the class and therefore they dont receive the same.

My 2 girls are 2 years apart and both of them started attending Five Star at the age of 1 year and 2 months. They were there until recently the older one started as a first grader at our local elementary school. I just read some of the previous (negative) reviews about this school. To be fair, occasionally there might be one or two teachers that werent so responsible sometimes, but overall I think this is a very good school and both of my girls loved a lot of teachers there, like Ms. Armie, Ms. Jennifer, etc. They spent 8 years there in total and have learned a lot during their stay. The school is diverse and teachers are professional so I would recommend this school.

I had a very bad experience with the director and one of the teachers. The problems with one of the teachers was fine and could be handled but then our Son started saying he does not want to go to school and the teacher is not being nice to him. We tried to work it out with him though. Finally, one day the director had new students coming in that class and she wanted my son to move to the next class. I was happy to move but just wanted two weeks to move him to the next class more like a transition since the next class for for 3-6 year olds and he is only 3 yrs and 5 months. She refused to comply inspite of my wife clarifying that she is unwilling to approve the move. Even after we said no to the immediate move, I came from work to see that My son was in the next class. I guess her new business was more important to her than her current customers. She chose to have a very bad argument with me when i questioner her the next day because she had moved my child without my permission from one class to another. She finally ended saying she will do one more assessment and get back to me. Followed up with a call saying she cant continue with my son in the school. I had to move him without any notice.Overall, a horrible experience. I am wondering if I should check out the law for such behavior of school authorities. Can they move my kid from one class to another without checking with me or my prior approval? If someone knows and can help please let me know.

My daughter attended Five Star from the time she as 2 years old through Kindergarten (they had a K program at the time). Shes now 10 years old. The strong academic foundation that 5-Star gave her has played a very important role in her success in academics throughout elementary school. Shes been an A-B student throughout elementary and she starts Jr. High next year...My son now attends the Katy location and again, the experience has been wonderful. The teachers really care, the directors are professional and experienced and the children are phenomenal! If I had anything negative/bad to say, its that the turn-over at the Forkland school was high at the time my son went there, thats why we switched him to Katy. Even with that, the quality never waivered, we just wanted him to have a consistent teacher at his young age... I highly recommend both locations to any parents searching for a SAFE, trustworthy, organized and all around positve learning environment for your children...

Do not send your child here, what the other poster said is true. The teachers just sit around and talk to each other and do not pay attention to the kids. They use Montessori as a way to be lazy and not interact with the children. Also, they do not wipe the toilets down after each use for the young kids.
