I would not suggest go to this school. My son was enrolled enrolled in the school by his mom and I had not had any chance to meet them. The bad reviews i saw previosly focused on how they prioritized money and over children. It took three weeks to get a meeting with them even though my child was currently enrolled and accepted. They were unable to get my name right even when I contacted them twice to correct it. They stood me up twice leading up to the meeting they finally showed up after 3 weeks of trying. When I asked if they prioritize current families over prospective families they said no. They have a 18 to 1 ratio and some of the highest tuition I have seen. They couldnt explain where the money went. They had shorter hours and no meals like my sons previous day care.During the meeting they they said I shouldnt pay any attention to negative comments about the school. The owner laughed at me when I was asking questions. They said that their best trait is their communication and admin. This is the worst aspect of the school. They ended up rejecting my son because I showed concern about their school and policies. A week later I was still on their mailing list receiving promotions about having my child enrolle in their school.

We absolutely adored summer camp here for our preschooler and plan to return next summer. The staff was awesome and our kiddo picked up some Spanish pretty quickly. Other than academics, they did lots of movement and playing. Highly recommend.

We LOVED Crossing Borders. I never once worried about my sons safety or wellbeing. I knew he was well taken care of and cared for. My son greatly improved his Spanish and he passed the Gifted and Talented test for HISD. He made sweet friends and always enjoyed his day. It was easy to communicate with the teacher and admins. His teacher, Ms Lily, is amazing and has such a great presence in the classroom. Crossing Borders truly cares about their students and their families. And the preschool graduation was beautifully done and decorated better than any graduation of mine!

Grossing borders preschool the best school ever, the administrators, the teachers and assistants, everyone is nice and loves to help, I was afraid to try many languages on my daughter at one time. We are at home talking to her in Kabyle, Arabic and French, but I wanted to learn Spanish and English, and she has been in Spanish class for a year. I see her every day learning New words and now she speaks more Spanish and English than the other languages that I speak at home. I am happy for this and I hope she speaks them fluently. She even learned in school how to be more self-reliant. She likes to eat alone without my help, she cleans her table, uses the bathroom, washes her hands alone and always tries to help me In cleaning I am very happy, I notice every day an improvement in her speech and behavior and she has become more disciplined

We have been very impressed with Crossing Borders Staff, curriculum, opportunities, care for students/families and staff as well as their communication. We came from another language school (LIPP), which we were not as pleased with due to many reasons. My daughter began CB at age 3 and by the end of her first year, placed into a Native Speaker section of a French program. My daughter loves school, French and is actually eager to learn other languages as well. I believe by introducing her to a second language experience at her age, it has helped support true empathy skills in diversity and inclusion of different populations. We hope to continue her language skills and add more!

My daughter has been attending this school since she was 18 months old and she is already 3 years old and it is incredible how she has learned to speak a second language and practice it every day, and what I liked the most is that not only does she learn a language but they also teach them family values. I really appreciate how they have taken care of my daughter.

Crossing Borders has been an amazing preschool for my little one. She’s been there a little over a year and has truly blossomed since being a student there. She loves going every day and has a strong connection to her teachers. She is in the Spanish Toddler class and Ms. Lily has really sharpened my daughter’s strengths as well as reinforced areas where she needed an extra push. Ms. Lily is patient and nurturing. From an academic perspective, a year ago she didn’t speak any Spanish and after only a year, she’s fully conversational in Spanish. (Thanks to her amazing teachers at CB.) Not only is my daughter doing well academically but socially as well due to the warm and welcoming environment. I’m grateful of the academic foundation she has received at CB and thankful for the nurturing environment that has helped my daughter excel.

My son loves Crossing Borders! Hes been enrolled in the Spanish immersion class since he was 18-months-old and Ive been so impressed by the thoughtfulness of his teachers. Seriously, they really pay attention, and Im constantly surprised and delighted by the creativity of the curriculum. Also, security-wise, Crossing Borders cant be beat. They have a police officer at the door (and the officers are so nice), finger-print check-in/check-out and multiple locked doors between the entrance and the classrooms. We actually dont live near Rice Village (were in the Heights), so it can be a bit of a commute, but 100% worth it because the school is so wonderful.

As a parent, I feel honored to have my daughter at Crossing Borders Preschool International. This was the first school for my daughter who began at 18 months and has flourished in the language of Spanish. Im even more excited to have my daughter retain her enrollment at the same school until the age of 4. Ive seen growth in the school towards safety and instruction and I can definitely say, when a concern does arise (which is very seldom), the staff is eager and responsive to my daughter needs at that moment. The school itself is very diversified in curriculum, staff and student body, in addition, the director herself encourages high expectations from all staff members and students. Currently, my daughter is taking French and Spanish which has pushed her thinking, and leveraged her skill set as a growing individual. In all, Crossing Borders is an exceptional school if you want to embrace the world of diverse languages and build your childs capacity for the 21st century.

I come from China. Last year I came to Houston with my lover and child RAN for the first time on September 1st. At the beginning, we didnt know which school I should send RAN to. When we first came to this school, we were attracted by the kind teachers and the school building, and we sent the child here school. The following experience shows that our decision is correct. Now RAN is very happy here, and we are also very pleasure. I want to say that this school is very good, and the teachers here are very great. Thank God! We are lucky.

I have to say that the owner Elvia really know how to pick the best crew.Ms.Gladys, Ms.Jessica, Ms.Rose and Ms.Linda are all excellent teachers. They’re professional and knowledgeable, super loving and caring. Oh and Ms.Sol and Ms.Zeina too. I can be very picky when it comes to my kid’s school, so I’ve looked around and compared multiple schools in Houston. I still believe I made the right decision. The tuition is very reasonable too.Since we moved out of the state, I miss the school very much. My kid still misses Ms.Linda a lot. She’s my kid’s best friend. My kid has learned a lot from her. If one day we move back to Houston, I’ll send my younger kid here too:) That’s how much I love this school❤️

I enrolled my 6 year old daughter for 2017 Summer Camp. My daughter didnt know English at all. And she didnt want to learn English. But after 9 weeks she can understand basic commands. I will send her every year Crossing Border Summer Camp. The improvement is amazing. I didnt expect my daughter to understand English but now she can. She even speaks some sentences. There are a lot of instructional activities at camp. And the approach of the staff was always helpful and kind. I suggest you to send your child to Crossing Border Summer Camp.

Couldnt have found a better school for our two kids (2 and almost 4)!!! They have been going here since July and our oldest is speaking great English now! Our familys primary language is Spanish. They didnt know any English before starting school in Crossing Boarders. Our youngest understand English very well, although his vocabulary isnt an extensive one (not even in Spanish). We HIGHLY recommend this school! The teachers and administrative team are the most loving, creating a very nice environment. Just love it!!

My toddler has been with CB for 18 months now. We love the school and community. The teacher turn-overs has been low, and my toddler has gotten to know all the teachers, even outside of his class. He has also made many friends. His morning drop off reminds me of the old sitcom Cheers, where everybody knows your name. Someone always yell his name as soon as he walk into the classroom. It has been a wonderful experience.

Crossing Borders was a great experience for our daughter, who completed two years with the school from age two to four. She had a real affection for her teachers and made lasting friendships with her classmates. The base that she received in a second and third language is invaluable. We know that her start in language education and education in general at Crossing Borders will serve her very well for years to come.

This is such a wonderful place! We have been at Crossing Borders Preschool for 2 years now. My daughter started out in the Spanish program, she is completely fluent in Spanish. She speaks and understands everything. This year we decided to transfer her into the Mandarin Chinese program and literally after the first week of learning a brand new language she came home singing Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star in Chinese. It was AMAZING!The teachers and administrators are super friendly, you can tell they genuinely care for the students. The administrators know all the kids and parents by name. The price point is great in comparison to a lot of other schools in the area and the hours, while long for the little ones, are geared towards working parents - 7am to 6pm. The school does have logoed uniforms, which at first I thought was a bit of an overkill for preschoolers, but quite honestly it makes getting ready for school so easy. The location in the Rice University area is unbelievable for people who live or work in the Med Center, Downtown, West U, Museum District and Montrose. The school is based out of the Lutheran Church in the Rice Village but other than renting space from them has no association with the church.

We have used Crossing Borders beginning in 2014 through now for all three of my children, and I highly recommend them! Over the years, we have seen them evolve both academically and in terms of extracurriculars. They are also responsive to parents. I also love the flexibility in terms of drop-off and pick-up scheduling, and in terms of language acquisition, when my oldest son graduated and went to another school, his Spanish teacher believed he was coming from a bilingual family, when in fact my husband and I do not speak any Spanish!

My son has attended CBG since he was 18 months and we are very pleased with the academic and cultural learnings he has obtained throughout the years. My husband and myself are both English only speakers and initially we were concerned our son may not grasp the bilingual and biliterate concepts with non Spanish speaking parents. However we now know it played no significant part in his development. This academic year we were fortunate enough to continue his learning at CBG since they have added a Kindergarten class. I really appreciate the smaller student:teacher ratios and learning methodology which affords each student the opportunity to learn at their own pace. CBG program has helped my son learn to read, write and speak in both languages.I would highly recommend CBG to any parent who is seriously interested in joining a program that would aid in creating a solid bilingual and biliterate foundation for their child.

We have been so fortunate to have our daughter in the 2 yo spanish classroom last year and the 3 yo spanish classroom this year. Not only does she jump out of bed each morning to go to school because she is so excited but she is greeted by the kindest, most friendly and caring staff every day upon her arrival. She doesnt want to leave at the end of the day because she has had so much fun. Beyond the outstanding curriculum, I can honestly through personal experience that the staff are incredibly accommodating and understanding of unexpected life changes. After our family experienced a health emergency they provided my daughter with love and support and welcomed her back to school with open arms. I cant speak highly enough of this school and look forward to starting my son next year!

My son has been in Crossing Borders Rice Village location in Ms. Naouals French class, and we have been very happy with it. Ms. Naoual is incredibly sweet and nurturing and that has helped my sons separation anxiety issues - he would cry when I would drop him off, but she was always comforting, and within a couple of minutes, he was fine. Now he doesnt cry at all when I drop him off and is excited to be with his new class.Class sizes are small which I love, as it allows for lots of individual attention, and I love the Brightwheel app they use - its fun getting photos throughout the day and seeing what my son and his class have been up to.We do not speak French at home, but within a month of being at the school, he was counting for me in French, and he regularly sings French songs hes learned. We practice together at home and its even helped me get back into practice!I would like to see the teachers in plain clothes versus scrub-type (albeit pink) uniforms, as the latter gives a slight institutional or medical quality, and I think it would allow the teachers to express their personalities. We looked at different schools in the area, and although not inexpensive, for the tuition I feel you get very good value given the second language immersive environment.Overall in our short three month stay, weve been happy, really love Ms Naoual and are thrilled our son is in an enriching, academic environment where he is learning a second language at a time and age when it is so easy for kids to learn.
