I have an infant enrolled at Bethany currently. The teachers there are warm and caring and promote independence for the children. The classroom is always, remarkably, calm looking when I pick her up at the end of the day.The school recently hired a new director (within the last few years, Im not sure when) They have been making improvements, such as allowing for tuition payments on-line, to help streamline the process. We receive e-mail communications to keep us informed of upcoming events. The building is older, but well maintained, and beautifully designed. There is a single entry point at the back. The classrooms are all on a single level, and surround a series of courtyards which have playgrounds or are landscaped. Most classrooms have large windows on either side, to allow for lots of natural light.Additionally, the school really tries to create a community for the students and their families. There are movie nights scheduled monthly in the gym and a fall festival, that the teachers and parents put together for the kids. Overall, we have really enjoyed our experience with this school.

Both of my kids go here and we love it here. No only they emphasize on their education, but they heavily promote on good behavior, manners and independence. We highly recommend Bethany. We did look at other schools due because they were closer to our house or work, but we noticed that the teachers and staff at Bethany are always smiling. Everyone seems to care about the kids and enjoy being there.

This school and the loving teachers and kind administration was a blessing to my child. He really flourished under their care. They worked with his behavior and improved it. Through their gentle and wise teaching they made room for his and other students diversity. As a parent I was touched that a group of teachers worked together to communicate and care so much for my child. We were a team working together.Movie nights were a blast for the kids and I enjoyed getting to know other parents and teachers. The school is in an old building but there is nothing like the huge courtyards with play-sets under the giant oak trees. The kids classrooms surround the courtyards and have tons of windows. This is a really special place!

My son has been at Bethany for the past 4 years and we have loved it! It is truly a play-based curriculum with the best of Montessori elements without its rigidity. I am so amazed at how much my son has learned at the end of each day and how creative and self-directed and confident he has become. More importantly, education research has shown over and over how important play and movement is as well as social skills as predictors of future success much more so than flash cards or memorized items. The teachers are very dedicated and loving and it is much more than a daycare to them. Some of them have been there for decades and are great sources of wisdom and guidance for parents. The teachers know all of the kids in the other classes and the parent volunteer organization is making great things happen in terms of families connecting together. The school is heading in an even better direction with the change in administration with an experienced school director who is energetic and thoughtful about a shared vision for the school. The admission policy has also become more flexible with enrollment now allowed at two major times during the year as well as consideration of enrollment at other times. Lots of new ideas coming, including a new science lab and art room, as well as increased morale and school spirit!

Teddi sounds like a disgruntled employee who should learn a bit of Social Media etiquette... way to dodge that bullet Bethany. Good Riddance!Funny Teddi if you did know about any kind of etiquette youd still be employed there...you trying to bash Bethany and all the good they are doing there is proof enough. Not worried about Karma you should be though with what you are trying to do here.

My family has been very pleased with this school! My youngest daughter enrolled here as an infant, and has loved coming to school every day. The teachers are caring and warm, and my children feel loved. There may have been different administrators in the past, but I feel very confident in the new leadership. Note: This is a preschool, not a daycare. Other reviews complaining about closures or holidays should look elsewhere. This school cares about teachers and wants them to have professional development days to learn and grow in their teaching, as well as parent / teacher conference days to share vital information with parents. These are common practices among accredited schools. I would highly recommend this school to anyone looking for a solid start to their childs education.

Not a good experience. My son stayed there for a year and he still cries every time coming to school. When switched to a new school, he did not cry for a single day. Teachers were not helpful and did not report incidents properly. You have a lot more better choices with The same tuition.

I worked to Bethany for 4 months in early 2015. I loved the kids there, its a warm welcoming environment for me with the old women i worked with in infants room and waddlers and 3s. But the main concerns i had is that i didnt received proper training and certifications, and a guy working in the toddlers room changing nappies for little ones. As a parent that is very uncomfortable. There shouldnt be a guy teacher in a day care for little ones changing diapers and parents doesnt know who are the various people handling their kids the whole afternoon as they keep on changing and floating different teachers from one room to another . It would be better if professionally Guy Teachers will be assigned for bigger kids. And there were young teachers in kindergarten and bridge-k, when kids are misbehaving these caregivers scream and sometimes hold the kids from the upper arm that it hurts them. Kids at these young age are precious, but to be entrusted to unworthy, unprofessional and unexperienced caregivers my heart breaks for them. I know these, because with that short period of time working in there, i was floated to all the rooms, different ages. Bethany should be a kid-friendly, safe and has a loving environment, as they promote the name of the accompanying Church with them. Please higher your standards too in hiring caregivers, not just anybody who needed a job. But i hope all my concern from the previous admin has changed already as they have changed the admin.

We initially enrolled our daughter at Bethany Methodist on a personal recommendation from a trusted friend. One day, when dropping her off in the morning, we passed by a neighboring classroom, where through the window I observed the teacher of that room appearing to inhale disinfectant spray. I reported this to the director. Following an investigation, the teacher claimed to have been using an inhaler (and not the large can I saw her holding). The director was dismissed, though the teacher retained her job, with the understanding that they would pass by her room more frequently. The two problems I had with this were: (1) if the parents of the children in that room had seen what I had seen, there would be no more children in that room; and (2) someone inhaling disinfectant spray needs help and support, not observation. We immediately withdrew our child from Bethany Methodist.

There are too many holiday or days that the school is closed for some reason in school calendar, and also, the teachers change frequently.

I hated it. I got fired for no reason. The lead teacher was being a racist but before I could say anything they fired me and wanted to get rid of me. Needs new management
