I was at the recent open house and was very impressed. The school looks so clean inside. They are building a fence to protect the students too. The classroom has some really cool technology. They have a projector that allows you to write on the wall. I cannot wait for my little girl to start.

I never thought I would consider moving to Katy, but my childs education is a priority. My wife and I went to the open house and we are beyond impressed. They spared no expense. Everything is top of the line. Plus, the school is so clean! I was able to talk to the owners and listened to their vision. They really sold me on the school with everything they planned to do. They recruited the best of the best and it is reflected by the teachers who were present. I went ahead and registered my son for PK3 for the 2018-2019 term.

Love the school! My daughter has only been here for 2 months and is already singing French songs to me. The school is kept clean and there are lots of opportunities for parents to become involved. The class sizes are small and some of the after school activities are even taught by former Olympians (i.e. my daughters karate teacher)! The staff is really kind and sweet to my young daughter. I recommend this school to anyone who believes bilingualism can be a plus in this world.

We are happy to be part of the LIH community since it opened last year. In just three months, our daughter, with whom we speak exclusively French at home, is now bilingual thanks to the Lycée. The school has organized many great events all year long including families. I highly recommend this school to families looking for a French-English bilingual program in the energy corridor.

I loved this school since day one. The one on one approach to each individual student was great. My kids loved their first year. I highly recommend this school to anyone who is involved in their childs education.

We have been working with LIH since they opened. We provide after-school fencing classes and fencing PE classes during the school year. The kids here are great, and the staff is very supportive of outside activities. We look forward to many more years of partnership!

I recently visited the school and was very impressed with their layout. From their smart classrooms, to their specially designed STEM room and art classroom, the attention to detail in every space, with the well-being and development of the students, is evident. I was equally impressed with LIH’s friendly faculty and staff, who have it as their mission to focus on each child’s strengths in order to help them grow and develop in a positive and multicultural environment.

This is the first time that I have seen my daughter engaged academically, challenged, and not to mention becoming bilingual - all thanks to this school, its excellent structure/curriculum, and the fantastic staff. We got a little scared off this summer by some of the negative reviews that were here on google, so I approached the beginning of the school year with a skeptical eye, but determined to give it a solid shot. After becoming more and more involved, I can now recognize that this is a place where childrens minds are respected and valued. I see my daughter thriving and motivated and I am amazed, humbled, and grateful. I am curious as to whether some of the other reviewers have much experience with other schools or life in general. Its important to remember that new things arent for everyone. Every single school has issues; the differences you encounter in a new and smaller school compared to a large, established one are similar to the differences in working in a small and exciting startup versus working at a behemoth corporation. So if your only experience with education has been at schools which existed for 60+ years, your expectations may be unrealistic. At the same time, larger schools dont tend to be as responsive. The amount of attention to detail that is given in this school is unprecedented; like any new endeavor, there are kinks that are being ironed out. But again, every school has issues and problems. The curriculum, staff, building, families, and VISION for this school is truly unique and we are grateful for it.Unfortunately, people tend to believe negative things more than positive ones; it is interesting, then, that those who post only accusations and gossip do not leave their full name on their review. I would encourage anyone to visit the school and make your own decisions. For our family, its the first time I have ever felt that our daughters were in an environment where I wouldnt change anything - they are excited every day for school, and watching them thrive is truly a delight. We are very grateful to have found LIH and look forward to many more years there.

Coming from Brazil, I was so happy that my kids had a great transition with their curriculum. All the faculty and staff are very helpful and kind. This School is for us the perfect environnement for our kids to grow and to be happy. You will never find a School where your kids will learn three langages from native speakers.

Having had my two children at LIH for the past year I would definitely lean closer to the negative reviews and avoid the fake ones. Weve found the following to be true: 1. Be aware that the main goal of the school is to make money (for-profit school) 2. Administration is disorganized and unprofessional 3. The principal promises the world and delivers nothing. She is incompetent, conceited and only worries about the outside appearance of the school 4. Campus is still a work in progress thing 5. Great teachers in preschool and primary school 6. Heard mixed reviews about middle school/high school from other parents 7. Huge staff turnover 8. Some nice aids/teachers assistants 9. Horrible lunch, ridiculous portion sized meals 10. Carpool: picking up your child can be laborious 11. Great parent involvement 12. This school is extremely over-priced for what is delivered. They will charge you if your child needs extra help. They will charge you for languages other than French, English and Spanish and for math enrichment.

This is not a school but a business run by one of the most self-centered, incompetent, and unprofessional supervisor there is. Like other reviewers already pointed out, she consistently breaks her promises. No one trusts her anymore. The situation has become so frustrating for parents that a lot of families are considering other schools for next year. It is really sad but leaving the sinking ship seems like the only option right now. LIH had such potential but will never achieve anything as long as the current administration remains in place.

The school just opened their doors this school year, some of the facilities are still work in progress, but what really matters to me is that they hire good qualified teachers and the school director is really helpful, ready to hear any comments or complaints any time . My kids are having a good time over there and they are definitely progressing.

We are blessed to be part of such an amazing school. Our top criteria in searching for a school were: education, safety and international and we have found all that and more at LIH. With caring staff, excellent teachers and great family community, which we are proud to a part of, the Lycee International de Houston is a great choice!

We have had a good experience at Lycee international de Houston and yet we are leaving after a year like many other families. I agree with previous reviewers that the teachers are great and really care about their students. The head of school though is a terrible person. She is dishonest and lies to parents about pretty much everything. Money seems to be her only focus. She serves her own best interests rather than the best interests of the students. This school was one of the biggest mistakes that we have ever made.

With expensive tuition, low academics, an unimpressive campus (no auditorium, no sport facilities, no library), LIH has been a disappointment to many families. The school needs a better leader with more experience, skills and a true ethic. LIH remains a friendly school to put your children if you have a child with learning disabilities, or if academics are not that important to you. This school is not worth its enormous price tag.

We moved to Houston last year , and we looked all over the place for a school to our child , and we did a lot of comparison between what’s in the market we found out LIH one of the best schools in Houston Texas , what we liked in LIH how friendly the staff was and all the teachers are certified , and they are teaching the native languages and school is always clean , and what we love more about the school is the home work programe after school from 3 to 4:30 is 100 % free and it’s running by certified teachers , this year we knew that they are adding an new playground , fence all around the school , and a new kitchen

Overall a low, sad and negative experience. Such a shame... I was one of the schools biggest supporters but now I am truly disgusted by the principals questionable choices and work ethic. Having to deal with the administration is horrible. The schools dysfunctional organization made it a frustrating place to be a parent. The unfortunate events that took place at LIH these past few months lead to an extremely high staff turnover. Principal is condescending and manipulative. She fired the best teachers throughout the school year. For its first year LIH lost over a quarter of its student body... I pulled my children from LIH after well qualified/educated teachers left the school. Dont waste your money and find a different school for your child.

It was difficult to make a decision to move my kids from another private schools but after a few weeks since the school began I knew that it was the best decision that I have made. The passion of the head of school about aducation and the kids , the professionalism of the teachers, the friendly environment, the cleanliness of the school- I couldn’t ask for more. The school is very family oriented and try to accommodate all children from the family which is so important. I have had 2 years of difficult schedule because my son wasn’t accepted to the same school where my 2 other children were the students. I can tell that it’s very important that school garanties to the families that all their children will be accepted on equal rights and without prejudice and discrimination.I love also that there is Spanish langauge added to the curriculum since 4th grade. It was such a pleasure to notice the progress that my daughter made in her Spanish throughout a year. I also love the flexibility in the time when you can pick up the children: it really shows to me that school tries to understand parents busy schedule and different sircumstances .But mostly and above all : all 3 of my children were extremely happy and eager to go every day to school. The ambiance without pressure and bullying, friendly and helpful teachers who supported children . The curriculum is great and really made to stimulate the children’s envie to learn. My children would come home and would be reading books or tell me different things that they learned. And it feels so great to bring them every morning to the school and see them ready to go and willing to learn.I’m very happy with the school, the personnel and the ambience in the school and feel fortunate for the opportunity to send my kids to the LIH.
