I really like Lighthouse Charter School and am very comfortable sending my children to school there. I am more than confident in knowing that my children are safe and properly cared for. I have only had issues with one teacher there, I will refrain from saying her name, lets just say this, I dont think that she should be teaching children as young as second grade because she lacks the compassion, caring, nurturing and understanding that you need when dealing with children of that age. On the other hand, some of the teachers go out of their way to make your child feel safe and comfortable as well as care for them and show them love and support, and that makes it a lot easier to send your children to school for 8 hours a day. There are two teachers that I absolutely LOVE! I will not refrain from saying their name because I think that they should be recognized. Mrs. Stamm and Mrs. Bowman are absolute Super Stars! If you are lucky enough to get either of those two for your second or third grader then you are going to have a GREAT year! We have had a few small issues with bullying from some of the other children, but nothing too major and that wasnt addressed right away. If you are thinking about sending your children to Lighthouse Charter School, I honestly dont think that you would be disappointed. Majority of the teachers and staff are very caring, friendly and very easy to talk to. My children are in third and fourth grade right now and will be students at Lighthouse Charter School until they go off to college.

I really hate this school. I agree with some of these reviews. My daughter gets bullied at this school as well and nothing is done about it. The teachers have no structure in class. The students do what they want with little to no discipline. The students are basically running the classes. They curse out the teachers and whomever else they wish to. They dont care whether parents are sitting in on the class or not. This school just has no discipline. My daughter tells me that a staff(vice principal) is taunting her and making fun of her everyday now, telling her that its so cute when shes mad and telling her to get mad again, just being very immature and unprofessional all around. I would never, ever suggest this school to anyone.

We had a lot of problems with this school. We decided it best to move our children to another school, and they went in behind the rest of the students in their grade levels. They are catching up fine, but Lighthouse really failed them. At first, it did seem to be a good school, but the principle left and was replaced, and it was obviously all downhill from there. Do your children a favor, find a better choice.

Very terrible school. I had to move my daughter after a month due to her complaining not teaching in a professional matter.. the teacher forget their homework, worrying about pay day! Teachers are young and dont have no structure. Ms Putnam is the worse 3rd grade teacher ever. My daughter let me listen to what she say in class. Can you say terrible and a lawsuit! Im so mad I enter her in that school. We hated it since day one!

My son is in the high ablility program and had amazing teachers from grades K-4. He will be a 5th grade next year and we are looking to even better from him! He is a member of Robotics, basketball team, and cross country.

I would never send my kids back to this school because they out bullying all year and the school did nothing about it until the last week of school and for the bus drivers are always late I would never send kids to this school this school is the worst.... ips is better then lighthouse if you send your kids to lighthouse they will pick on everyday and nothing will be done about it

I LOVE INDIANAPOLIS LIGHTHOUSE COLLEGE PREP HIGH SCHOOL BECAUSE THEY TEACHES YOU THE RIGHT WAY AND THEY HAVE TEACHERS THAT REALLY CARE ABOUT YOUR EDUCATION AND THEY ALSO AMAZING A AMAZING PRINCIPLE THEY WILL MAKES SURE THE SCHOOL STAY SAFE AT ALL TIME AND LASTLY THEY HAVE A DANCE TEAM TURN UP

I love the teaching strategy to get to the young minds and how well the young folks carry themselves throughout the school. If youre looking for somewhere for you kids to go to school this is the place.

This is a great school! The second grade teachers really are amazing and have no problem sending my kids there.

This school is horrible. They have called cps on me 2 times. Im in the process of suing them. I do not abuse my children. And thats what they called CPS and told them. Im a great mother. Im a home health aide part time and full time Medical Assistant student. I am very active with my children. I do not recommend this school to anyone. They disrespect children all the time. Please do Not let your children attend this school!!

The unbelievable condition these students are able to leave this school in is like nothing i ever have come across in my life!! I know the board of health would have a blast with the filthy condition of this school! Along with parents..Food is left in desks for days on end attracting many many rodents.I dont know if i am more disgusted with the administration or the students.I would Never allow my son to attend a school,I dont believe he would benefit mentally in such an unsanitary environment! SMH SMH😰😰

My child has benn there 4years and she leared muplicaion in the frouth grade and she going to fiffth grade

What idont like is that some kids are not principled or nice they always thret me and others every teacher has to get someone to take that kid to the restroom every day I get thretend make this school a better place NO BULLYING alexis tapia :)

It was pretty bad the kids are rude the teachers are mean and barley teach us and the restrooms are nasty I give this school a bad review this school has rats and roaches the food in lunch is complete disgusting the nurse doesnt do anything good the classrooms are very dirty and there is quite a bit of bullying i would not recomend this school to anyone
