My daughter has been at Funshine for over 2 years and I am amazed with her scholastic progress and positive socialization with her classmates. The teachers provide a great environment and my daughter enjoys the different classrooms. I like the building layout of the centralized room with lockers, adds a sense of community with all grade levels included, where as, other past facilities feel like never ending hallways.

Our daughter has been at Funshine for 1 year now (starting in infants) and we have had such a good experience so far. The staff has been friendly and responsive to our questions. We get updates on daily activities/food/bio (including regular photos and videos) through the Tadpoles app. Most importantly, we know that they really care for our daughter because they show genuine concern when anything is wrong and it is clear our daughter (and the other kids too) is always happy, and never scared, to go to daycare.

I have had the joy and pleasure of teaching at Funshine over 8 years. Working here has felt like my second home. I enjoy the children and staff. Also, I enjoy management and appreciate their excellent services and for being so accommodating. I hope I continue to have the chance of working here for many years.Marina Babaian

Funshine is very warm and welcoming place my daughter is in the toddler classroom, and I was nervous about her being in a toddler room but her teacher is amazing and I have seen my daughter grow and learn so much in her classroom.

I love it here. My 4 year old daughter is well taken care of. I can trust the staff here because they are so kind and genuine. It is very hard for my daughter to like people but this daycare takes the cake. I would recommend this daycare to everybody. The staff is so professional and caring and they know what they are doing. They have experienced teachers in there and you get a nice warm welcoming when you come. My first day I felt at home because I am very cautious of where I send my daughter but this daycare was one of the best choices I could have made for my daughter. First day I was welcome with a big smile and still every day I get the same welcoming smile. I love that every couple months they have special programs for kids. They just had a spring concert at school and it was Awesome! Who knew my 4 year old daughter could memorize 6 different songs! I was blown away. This is a great school that really takes education to a whole new level.

Both of my children were students from infant to pre-k and we have had an excellent experience. The staff is professional and caring and they maintain a friendly atmosphere and learning environment. At Funshine I knew my kids were safe, well cared for and having positive learning experiences. I love the balance of education, play, creativity. The updates and photos on the app are a great addition. With an older child we enjoyed going through the photos at night to talk about the activities during the day and friends at school. For a family with an infant or younger child, the details tracked in the app are great. There is a reason families stay at Funshine! Even when we moved and jobs moved farther away, we made a conscious decision to remain at this school because of the teachers, staff and positive environment. I feel very fortunate to have found this center and these teachers for my kids.

My son was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes in March of this year. The daycare we were at immediately refused to help manage his care. We came to Funshine and Austins teachers Ms. Donna and Ms. Wendy have been amazing. Ms. Melissa the director really loves the kids and goes out of her way. There are always politics with every center but I would recommend the Jr. Pre K classroom for sure!

My wife and I signed our son up to attend Funshine, but moved to another part of town before he started. We thought this might happen so we asked the Funshine team if they are flexible with the security deposit before signing up for the waitlist. Fast forward to now and we just received a call letting us know they wouldnt refund a penny of our $1,200 security deposit. Its a shame that they feel comfortable taking someones money without providing anything. Very disappointing all around.

When it comes to making the big decision to enroll your child into a daycare/school upon which they have always been home with you in your care since day one; is a pretty huge, scary step into the unknown. This decision did not come lightly as I am having to return to work and decided I needed to start researching schools and viewing them. As any concerned parent, I did a ton of research on Angies List, Google Reviews, as well as our state site and reading inspection reports of schools. Daycare is very costly for families, and being a military family, this is a huge cost that we are willing to make for the right place for our son.I made an appointment four days prior to viewing Funshine Childrens Center. I picked 8 places to view, this being the first and most reasonable of the 8. I also was really hoping this would be the perfect place as its location is close to both my home and on the way to my potential employer. Upon arrival, I was standing outside the locked door for about 5 minutes before anyone would open the door. I told them I was here to see the school and I had my 2 year old in tow. The woman looked at me, did not ask my name nor my childs and quickly told me that they would be more than happy to schedule a day for me to come and look, but that today they had a parents program going on. I told her I had an appointment and was there to see the school. She looked perplexed and apologized and said she could give me an information packet. I asked to see the class and the school. After handing me a folder, she then brought me into the 2 year class and told me the teachers would talk to me and discuss their approach of teaching. NOT ONE of the 3 teachers introduced themselves to me, nor approached me. I walked around the classroom, to absorb everything in it. The classroom looked cheerful and clean. The toys looked pretty worn out and for the most part the children were basically interacting by themselves. I wanted to see the playground and the condition of the equipment, but that was not an option given to me. The school director (I cannot remember her name, but she was a blonde) approached me, introduced herself, and continued to ask me if I wanted to come on another day and make an appointment. At this point, I was pretty annoyed and told her I made an appointment for this day and that my time is very limited (I am also taking care of my father in hospice so my time is limited). I explained to her my schedule constraints and that I did have other schools I was looking at. She did not offer a tour. She said she can give me info unless I had questions. I told her I had several questions in which she then guided me to a break room to talk (not he office). She was not very welcoming, did not ask me my name, nor my sons name. At that point, I was very let down by the staff and it spoke volumes to the care that my child would receive. As I mentioned earlier, daycare costs are astronomical, and for a family to make that decision to spend their hard earned money and trust people with the care of their child is so very important in regards to the treatment received on the front end. I would not trust this facility with my child...they forgot about my appointment, the teachers did not seem anywhere interested in a potential new student, nor was their any caring/interested personality from the director herself. Needless to say, we wont be attending that school as I would be afraid they would forget my child.
