I love the positive attitude from my recruiter mentors. They always pushed me to keep networking and applying. Every day, checked up on my progress and told me to not give up! That is priceless!!

Dont do it. You are basically paying to teach yourself how to code. Also, I withdrew 2 weeks in and was told I have to pay 4,500.For 2 weeks!

I received an a congratulations email stating I was accepted into the program for January 2022. Naturally, I was excited and told my family and friends. Then I get a text from the recruiter stating he got two scores from me and it needed to be cleared up in a scheduled phone call. Ok, what’s going on? Naturally I wanted some answers because according to the recruiter, I didn’t get accepted after all. Is this place legit because I get an acceptance letter then I was told I wasn’t accepted all along and never even received a phone call plus my recruiter is ignoring my emails! How unprofessional! I’ll be taking my complaint to the Better Business Bureau.

I dont understand the negative reviews. I came to the school with 0 expierence other than Myspace layout edits. I was working a job with only 28K a year. After completing the program I landed my first QA role starting at 45k a year 2 days after graduation, Im also entolled into two FREE apprenticeship programs thanks to Kenzie! One with IBM and one with Chase! The opportunities are endless. It wasnt easy, they will not just hand you a career after you complete (just like any other education). If youre willing to put in the hard work it definitely pays off! All of the facilitators, and my corhorts were/are amazing people inside out! Ive since completed, and started my career, but Im still in contact with my mentors and have no plan on losing the communication. I have and do recommend my family/friends to this program if theyre looking to get into the tech world!

I am about to graduate from the Software Engineering program and I love that I chose Kenzie Academy. I needed a place where I could gain real skills to break into the tech industry. I needed time to gain confidence in myself and in my coding. I knew that I wanted a longer program. What I got was more than I could have imagined. Kenzie is a family. We help one another, and if something doesn’t seem right they try to change it. It’s amazing to see this iterative process in real-time. You get to see immediate pivots based on user(student) feedback. This program is hard, you come here to work. However, youre not alone. If you commit to putting in the work the Kenzie community will support you. That’s what I love the most about Kenzie, it’s not just a program. You don’t just receive an education or training, you are enveloped in community from the beginning. You will get from this program what you draw out of it. But I will say Kenzie is a well, you can draw deep. I loved my time here, not because it was easy, but because it caused me to grow and stretch. So why should you consider Kenzie? They hire staff that want to draw the best out of you, and you will be provoked to growth. I chose Kenzie for the structure, time, and opportunities. I’m grateful to Kenzie for the growth.

They advertise that you wont pay anything unless you make $40,000/annually. However, after talking with an individual at Launch Servicing (the company where the ISA will go through). You only get a 48 month (4 year) forbearance. Following that forbearance, your payments will be based on your current income regardless. That comes across as misleading to me. Especially considering what I was told during my initial phone call.

Kenzie has been an amazing experience. Ive learned so much in the past year and now Im continuing to learn new technologies easier than I would have been able to learn without the experience at Kenzie. They are always trying to improve and that is why I think they deserve this 5 star!

Im currently a Q3 student in Kenzies SE Program. Im making a career change at 37 years old, and many of my fellow students in the cohort are in a similar position. I am learning so much and I am already creating software for my job that I was working at before I enrolled at Kenzie! It does require a large time commitment and a dedication to figuring things out on your own to stay caught up. But if you have the support and the drive, Kenzie can be a life-changing experience for anyone who decides that they want to pursue a career in tech. I would, and have, recommended Kenzie to my friends and family.

Promised me an in-person education and flipped it to online while still charging the same amount and not meeting a single expectation. 0/5 bad school and bad teachers. Bad leader too, chok just spouts professional BS. Lets hear some excuses they are great at that

I attended here back in 2019 for their marketing program which I see is no longer offered. In the beginning they made everything sound good and that I would have a lot of opportunities after completing this program. Its now the end of 2020 and Im doing nothing that has to do with marketing. I really wish I did not go to Kenzie Academy because I am stuck with this burden of the ISA. Everyones experience will be different but I would definitely think hard before going here..it seems like they just want the money and I never leave reviews.

Kenzie keeps going in a positive direction. Evaluation and course correction if needed. I am proud to be student at an organization who is truly Agile.

I just got off the phone with Nikia, it was a really great experience! I applied to the online prep courses, she contacted me with in minutes of entering my information. We where able to get on the phone with in a few minutes. She was very sharp, knowledgeable and had the type of personality which took the sting out of this type of conversation. Again not Syrupy, nor was she a hammer. Just polite, friendly and a pleasant fountain of information! What ever your doing, I highly recommend her! you Should ask for her by Name Nikia, she says Like Kia the car with a Ni in front.

As a current student, I can say that the staff and my fellow students are some of the nicest, most considerate people Ive met, given an exception or two. They care about others, they listen to your problems and try to help you work through them. They dont discriminate and they dont hate.My only regret is that I didnt start Kenzie sooner.Highly recommended for those who are wanting to start their career in tech.5 stars isnt enough, but its max, so itll have to do.

I highly do NOT recommend this “school” they’re only in it for the money. They advertise this family thing but its literally all fake and you can see that a mile away. A instructor literally quit because it was so bad.

Kenzie has a really cool spot above the co-working space called The Speak Easy downtown. Its a great atmosphere to learn and work on your code. Really inspiring to be around so many other developers who help me learn and grow in this field.

Update: Based on new information the program has changed drastically since I participated. Being bought by a University, crunching to a 9 month program, and being fully online has rendered it little different than any other boot camp. Im wildly disappointed by this news and can no longer endorse it in its current form.------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Amazing staff of incredibly motivated and knowledgeable people. They have a solid base of mentors from local companies as well as local sponsors that are invested in their success. They focus on project based learning to get hands on experience to the students and provide opportunities for consulting work on real projects starting in the second six months that youre there. Overall its been a great experience so far and Im looking forward to the future.
