I went with a few girls for a day of beauty. We had facials, had our hair styled, and makeup done. The facials were awesome. The area they do it in is awesome. The makeup application was fine. The hair styling was fine. It did take a while and that area was hectic but as I have seen stated here, you get what u pay for. Would I come get a haircut here, no just because I dont feel comfortable with students cutting my hair, not because of a service experience. Will I come back for spa services, absolutely. In fact Im booking them today.

I change my mind about coming to your campus. Ive heard terrible things about you guys. More than 2 people told me. Thanks for the offer but, I wont be coming to your campus. You guys are bunch of rip off. Students from your school told me that use to go there. Transfer over to PCI Academy like I said, thanks for the offer but, no thanks. I will not get rip off again by another, Cosmetology school most definitely not.

Students are so friendly. The instructors are always near to supervise the services. Clean and orderly clinic floor. Great deal and you are helping a student learn and use their skills for experience

La James takes their time with clients as students have to check-in with the instructor to make sure their work passes. They are thorough and very friendly. I have gotten my hair washed and trimmed, my goatee trimmed, and also received a facial, body wrap, and a massage! They have some great packages to have all these done and most of all are reasonably priced.

Had a color job done here and the students and supervisors maintained an informative and friendly demeanor during. Remember: the students are under guidance and still learning and are capable of a great job!

I got an hour massage here, and it was wonderful! I have gotten many massages, and this one definitely stands up to a professional one. I plan on rebooking soon! Im excited to try their other services as well. The students are very kind and professional.

The stylist took 2 hours to trim my extremely straight hair--and only took off about an inch. When it was finished her instructor looked at it from all the way across the room and said it looked fine. I went here because I had gotten my hair cut at a school before where the students had to have their plan approved by the instructor before cutting and then afterward the instructor would comb through it and critique the cut for the students benefit, commenting on scissor angle and everything. Clearly at La James neither the students nor the teachers know what they are doing. I will never go back there again.

Awful experience. The girl doing my cut and color barely spoke audibly, was not welcoming or concerned about my comfort. During my hair cut she tugged my head and didn’t communicate what she wanted me to do. During the dyeing process she got dye on my face and neck. Unfortunately I had to ask her to please give me a towel to wipe away the dye all over me. The entire, awful experience took 3.5 hours and I was left having to have the dye rinsed from my hair twice, and leaving the salon with soaking wet hair because they closed at 5...even though my hair wasn’t done. Worst thing of the experience was the program director wanted to ring me up while I was still in the salon chair, my hair wasn’t done and it ended up being twice what I was quoted! What a ridiculous joke. I have gone here in the past for simple cuts and made the unfortunate mistake of thinking they were capable of more. I guess I have learned my lesson.

This is the skeeviest place I have ever had the displeasure of going to. It looks nice on the outside, but that is it. A friend of mine went here and had part of his ear cut off while getting his hair cut. I went here for a haircut. I was expecting it to be cheap, but it was more expensive than other salons I went to. The hair dresser poked me in the eye several times and cut the back of my neck. The instructors are very unprofessional and will yell at students in front of customers. This is very embarrassing to both the student and the customer.

This place is mostly luck of the draw. You will always get new students, some of which are more talented than others. Its very cheap though. Only giving it 3 stars because they are extremely rude over the phone when trying to make an appointment....

I called to see if a student could blow out and straighten my natural hair. The lady put me on hold and I overheard her say to someone, I dont think its nappy or anything. She scheduled an appt. for the next morning (today). As I was headed there the same lady called to say the student was sick and I could reschedule. No thanks! Honesty is the best policy. They dont seem to know that.

I went to get a manicure and pedicure because they had a special deal. The nail polish was from a dirty basket filled with random colors and brands (the cheapest stuff from Walmart). They started running out of one of the colors and instead of getting a new bottle, just dumped some clear liquid in there and used that. They did clip my nails (upon request) but they were so jagged I had to go home and re-clip them afterwards so I wouldnt scratch myself! Such a waste of money, will never go back for any nail services.

Teachers need to teach the students what they were told they would learn when they signed the paperwork. Disappointed in the graduation ceremony for the students. Very unprofessional and looked like it was thrown together at the last minute.

The students are professional grade stylist. Gary Ball is the best in cutting and fading.

Takes time, theyre still learning, but well worth it. My son loves the Mohawk he got from Erica.

Dont get your hair cut here. Its a nightmare factory. The students are poorly trained and it looks understaffed. I didnt see any instructors walking around supervising the work, and the lady that checked my haircut eyeballed it and said it was fine. Yeah, you get what you pay for.

Love the spa! The students and staff are very knowledgeable about the services and always go above and beyond!

I tried to go in for a color three different times, got three different results, was dissatisfied all three times, and all of it was from the SAME FREAKING PICTURE I SHOWED THEM!! How does that happen?! Students were snotty, like I was not worth their time, and the instructor had gotten into a hissy fit with a student and decided to take it out on my head when ripping the foil from my hair. I tried, over and over and gave them the benefit of the doubt. Nope! Never again. And why let them fix it when they obviously act like they dont want to be there. Ugh!!

Ive gone here for several haircuts - sometimes its great, sometimes its so-so, and a couple times it was by far the worst haircut Ive ever received. They have deals making it the most inexpensive haircut in town but you should be warned that theres a chance youll just buzz it all off anyway.

The students may take longer when cutting my hair, but Ive had some great haircuts from La james International college... and it is super cheap too!!!
