Terrible organization. I had a tour schedule for this morning. When I arrived a lady screamed through the gate my tour was canceled. She said they sent an email that I’ve never gotten it. No call, voicemail or anything. Actually the day before I got a text saying they were looking forward to my visit. Not enrolling my child in a place disorganized like this.

My daughter has been attending Childtime of Irvine for 3 years. She will be leaving in the fall to Kindergarten which is bittersweet. For the past two years, my daughter has been in Ms. Mayas classroom. This woman is absolutely amazing. She truly cares for each child as if they were her own. My daughter is already so advanced from her instruction, I know that she will be successful when she transitions in the fall. I just want to thank Ms. Maya for all the amazing things that she has done for my daughter and the other children in her class.

SAVE YOURSELF A TRIP - DONT BOTHER GOING HERE. I was so excited for ema (my daughter) to start her day. All I wanted for her was a school where she could do engaging activities and hands on fun toddler appropriate things with a class of kids. Literally, that’s all. She doesn’t have to learn anything - just like a thoughtful and engaging activity. Like any normal parent would want. What I got was cut a piece of paper, alone, at the table. The teacher was okay - not engaging or enthusiastic as if this was like a part time job. Could have left her with a McDonald’s employee like - hi, yup, cutting paper now.I had a trial day here and what they say they sell and what they actually sell are completely different. The only thing they have going for them is the live camera. I literally watched them give my 2 year old scissors, not explain the activity and leave her at the table alone while ms. Brenda stood by the sink with no kids staring into nothing. She did help her a few times but while all the kids were playing she left my kid at the table doing an activity that was obviously not age appropriate. She wasn’t even skilled enough to adjust the activity she had planned for the class to fit my daughter (who is 2 and they knew would be visisting a week before hand) like why did she not color the page? Why didn’t she have my daughter sit down with some other kids and do the activity? She can sit at home by herself and struggle with scissors - I wanted her to be social. And the only response was “we are practicing fine motor skills, we can’t change our activities for a trial day”1. Why would you even sign me up on a day where the activity is “cut paper alone at the table”2. So many different interesting activities for fine motor skills. Even as simple as picking up beads and putting them in a cup. The LEAST thoughtful activity is cutting lines on a paper3. Why couldn’t they adjust when they saw my little one struggling with scissors for 15 minutes (not an exaggeration as they have live cameras). Given her a crayon and had her color Atleast? Like that would have shown me that the staff here is trained to deal with children and adjust to different age levels. Obviously this is sadly not the case.I asked for a lesson plan which they supposedly have and did not get one. Then I watched as they left my daughter alone in the room for 45 mins while taking other kids out. When I asked if this was all normal they said that none of what I said happened and I wasn’t ready to leave my kid alone. THATS crazy. I am looking for a school that is interactive and fun! That the teacher is engaging with students and enthusiast. Where the teachers actually care and aren’t just doing the bare minimum. You know the saddest part? At orientation the head lady took my two year old around and told her she’d do play doh and paint and color and crafts and toys with her teacher and my 2 YEAR OLD CAME TO ME AFTER IN THE CAR and said - why no playdoh and paint? Can we please do it mama? Like how do I explain to her this. I just took her home and did it with her myself. Ooof - really sad that a kid who has been BEGGING to come to school and interact with kids and do a fun activity basically just did free play with toys.Because of the camera feature I really wanted to love this place but if this is how “engaging” the teacher is KNOWING I’m watching and trying to sell me on your school- yikes.Just avoid at ALL COSTS!!

My 4 yr old son goes here three days a week, and now 5 days. The place feels a little pricey but I think thats how Irvine is. Very active environment. The staff and the caregivers are very friendly. A special note to my sons care giver - Ms. Maya. She understands each kid, and take personal care. She also provides daily feedback about the child which helps us a lot.Strongly recommend both Ms Maya and also the Childtime of Irvine.

I cannot express how grateful I am to have found Trish and Childtime! This is so much more than childcare. She provides a fun, stimulating, healthy, and loving environment for the kids. Both my son and daughter absolutely adore Trish and the rest of the staff. Both of our kids have been there for four years, and have truly blossomed during this time. Trishs approach to learning is very age appropriate and creative. Some of the programs she incorporates are music, art, gymnastics, imaginary play, circle time, and many others. The facility is immaculate and spacious. She cares for each child with true heart and soul.I would highly recommend Our Childtime. We are so happy with our choice, and after all the research we did before placing our kids in childcare, I honestly dont think any other program comes close to comparing with Trishs.

I decided to enroll my son (flex pass) while visiting my family last year. I was extremely worried that he would not like it, but the staff at Childtime were so kind and gentle with him. He did cry at the beginning as he was only 10 months. Keep in mind, as per California laws, there is a lot of paperwork involved and you will need a copy of your childs vaccination card/chart before he is allowed to attend, but for us it was just a call to our pediatricians office and was faxed in immediately. I hope this helps!

My two sons attended Childtime for the summer of 2014. They had an amazing experience and came home daily with fun stories about how they made cool arts/crafts, and talked about the friends they interacted with.Leslie was amazing, and she kept me in the loop about everything that was occuring with my boys. She helped me keep a flexible schedule with my sons throughout the summer, which was very appreciated. My interaction will all of the teachers at Childtime has been positive. Most importantly, as much as my boys are happy to see me, they always want to stay longer at the end of the day.

Were really happy with the Irvine branch of Childtime. Our daughter goes there and she learns new things every day. She especially loves Ms. Maya for her kindness and professional handling of her daily activities. Not only does Ms. Maya give our daughter educational assignments, she also makes them enjoyable and follows through all the way to make sure they finish them or they work on them at home. We feel that we always know how our daughter is progressing. Thank you Ms. Maya.Best Regards,Maysa M.

My child is going into her second year at Childtime Irvine and we are still as pleased as ever. Under Ms. Mayas guidance, she is writing her own name, letters, numbers and is learning so much every day. My child is so happy with her experience and so are we!We have just had the most amazing experience at Childtime Irvine. Ms. Stella is such an experienced, wonderful teacher who nurtures each child and brings out the best in them! I am so impressed with all my daughter has learned since she started attending this program -- the curriculum is fantastic without being crazy and accelerated for the kids. We could not be happier with Childtime, Ms. Stella and the rest of the wonderful staff. They really care about all the kids. The security on campus is also a major plus!

My son has been with Child Time for one and half years. He just loves it there. The director Ms. Leslie is highly professional and wonderful person. She is always there for parents and kids.My son started off in Ms. Stellas class. She loves all her students and is always hugging and cuddling them. My son became very comfortable with her in no time. Then he moved to Ms. Manasvis class. She is very loving and caring and taught kids to be organized. My son is still very fond of her. Currently he is in Ms. Mayas class. She is an amazing teacher and very friendly, creative and compassionate, her approach on developing social and academic skills are appropriate for this age group. She truly wants the best for the child. She is an experienced teacher and works toward the child overall growth.Overall, I am very happy with Childtime. The staff is loving and nurturing. The school is clean and safe. I highly recommend Childtime.

My son started going to Childtime Irvine when he turned 4 in the class of Ms. Maya. The reason I changed my sons school was because his old school spent more on toys then the overall personality development of my child. In Childtime , within few weeks I could notice immense change in his reading and writing skills . Ms. Maya is very particular about the overall development of the child. Initially like all kids he feared going to the new school but now he cheers up whenever I mention or ask about his school. I am really happy that childtime and specially Ms Maya is doing a great job. Now I feel confident that my son will be prepared when he gets admission in the public school

My son started when he was just about 3. He was not potty trained as much, as we didnt want to force it, and let him take his time. He was placed in the potty training room, where he learned and felt comfortable within 1 month of moving to this school and turning 3. It was truly easy for us and the Ms. Stella was great about it. He then quickly moved into the next level because he was potty trained. My son has had 3 teachers so far, Ms. Stella, Ms. Manasvi, and Ms. Elna after being there for 1 1/2 years. All of them have different personalities, have a great heart and teaching capability in their own way. The director, Ms. Leslie, is very welcoming, and friendly, always with a smile on her face, and truly concerned with the happenings at the school. The teachers teach each child to be independent, caring, and responsible. I can see tremendous improvement in my sons overall personality and learning ability. I also see changes in other children who I regularly see everyday. I highly recommend this school for the above reasons.

My 4 year old son has been going to Childtime Irvine since 2013. When we first came in, he really loved the place and ran directly to join the game kids were playing. Ever since the beginning, weve had a peace of mind knowing that he is in a great place where he would be looked after with caring and very personal attention. Hes been under the charge of several great teachers; now he is in Ms.Mayas class having a wonderful academic learning experience in addition to genuinely loving care. He has learned so much in this past year! We are very proud of his achievements and definitely give credit to our great school for that.

Our Son has been in the care of Childtime Irvine since he was 13 months old. He will be 4 in a couple weeks. We know he is in good-hands everyday we drop him off with Gloriette, Ines, Stella and the rest of the Childtime Team. Our Son has accomplished many milestones and his social, behavioral, and educational development is apparent since hes been with Childtime. We appreciate all the updates provided via Brightwheel app that is utilized and it feels good to be able to communicate via messaging in realtime. We get updates check-in/check-out, on food-if he ate the food, if/when he napped, and if hes in a photo or video and we like that a lot.Thank you Childtime Irvine for everything!

My daughter grew up in Childtime, she started in room 1 when she was a baby, and has gone through all the rooms with different teachers. All the teachers were super sweet in their own way, my daughter loved every single one of them, and shes never had a bad day in school in the past 3 years! Right now she is in room 6 with Ms. Maya. Ms. Maya is such a gentle soul with the kids, she is loving and firm at the same time. My daughter has learned so much from Ms. Mayas class, she is exploding with new words and phrases everyday. She is happy and loves to talk about what she does in class! Ms. Maya will always tell us what they are doing in the recent days, whether learning about the cycle of rain, or how a plant grows, or how to write their names and read. All the kids are super happy and friendly whenever I am there. Ms. Maya is a great teacher!

She was 2 years old when we first started and it has been a good experience. She started with Ms. Stella and then moved on to Ms. Manasvi she loved all of her teachers and we loved when she comes home with things she has done or when she is excited to showcase what they did that day and usually it is some kind of hand painting or some creative game. In her current class Ms. Maya is teaching her where rain comes from, planting seeds, letters and small words just to name a few. It gives us joy when she surprises with something she has learned at school.

Kidde 500-2012The directors of the school Trish and Leslie planned this awesome event for the kids and the parents called Kidde 500. It was so much fun to work on the box car with our son, we really got into it. Everyone came with such creative cars that night– it was really impressive. Trish and the team at Childtime coordinated hotdogs, hamburgers and yummy treats for all of us, the kids loved it. In the parade all the kids got to drive their cars around to fun music while the parents took pictures and cheered them on. At the end Trish handed out trophies and certificates to all the kids - everyone really enjoyed themselves!Thank you Childtime for such a great idea for a night filled of memories!!

Smiles and laughter, I am ALL for it. After all, I speak publicly about staying positive and keeping a positive attitude.Unfortunately, here is where I have to start educating my child at his early age of FIVE, that in this world, WOLVES exist in SHEEPs clothing. My son had the absolute best teacher who helped my son and his classmates excel tremendously in all areas, academically and socially. The discovery started when this good teacher stopped showing up to school one day. We, the parents, and the CHILDREN were concerned and were not given notice or reason why the teacher was gone. The children were sad and hurt that the teacher left so unexpectedly and without even so much as a goodbye. But the teacher had no choice. This message is about the horrific and careless way that the director, Leslie H., and the district manager, Lynn N., have been and are running this school. They smile at us frequently when greeted, but yet they have no compassion for the children or the parents. I question their ethics and how they run the school. We started off the school year with the best teacher for our 4 - 5 year olds with Ms. Deena. Our children excelled tremendously. Our children LOVED and respected their teacher. Our children were well-behaved but also knew how to have fun in their classroom. Our children were safe and under the best care with their teacher. It was obvious to the parents that our children grew significantly throughout the school year under the care and education program of Ms. Deena in the junior kindergarten class.Because the director would not give the parents or the children any information on the departure of Ms. Deena, we had to do our own investigation. If we wanted answers, we had no choice but to seek them ourselves, for the sake of all the parents and the children. We all needed closure that was not given to us by the school. We asked and asked, but we were given nothing. Hence, the investigation began. The fact is, the director interrogated our children in private without telling the parents. And when a parent requested information regarding the situation, the district manager, Lynn N., insisted that we gave our rights away when we enrolled the children to Childtime. Furthermore, she firmly if not rudely said, Ask your children, if you want to know.Through my research, I realized that the director interrogated the children privately to find a pretext to wrongfully terminate the teacher. I do NOT say this loosely. I have investigated, I have asked questions, and I have researched facts. There was an existing complaint against another teacher. The complaint also stated that the director was ignoring the concerns that her child was constantly hurt (bruised and cut) and not watched by the other teachers during the after school hours. The director ignored the parents many complaints time and time again. In the complaint, I found more specific details stating clearly to me that the school tried to cover up this complaint by firing one of their best teachers, our childrens teacher, Ms. Deena. Our children spent most of the school year with their teacher. All students have excelled in school, and they have all grown to love and respect their teacher significantly. The children have feelings. They miss their teacher. The children need closure. The children received no empathy from the school (the directors). The children received no love or care from the school. The children are left with NO answers; they are left in limbo. They think that their teacher abandoned them.As I said in the beginning, yes, there are smiles given when greeted at Childtime. But do they ACTUALLY care for the children? Can you the parents feel safe and at ease leaving your children at a school that seems to have NO empathy for your little ones? I am so disappointed with Childtime in Irvine, CA. What started out to be the greatest experience and growth for my child, ended as the worst emotional experience for my child.Childtime, get your act together. Pick directors that CARE for our children.

My son attended Childtime from October of 2012 to May of 2014. When we enrolled the school had a completely different culture than when we pulled him from the program. The school lacks transparency on countless issues, but the most disturbing was when my sons teacher was dismissed. The parents were given no information about the teachers dismissal and were only notified once a fellow parent demanded an explanation. When probed for an answer the assistant direct said that it was for the well-being of the children, but would not elaborate. The director, Leslie, provided only slightly more insight by stating that the corporate legal department was involved. The situation was made worse when it was discovered that school officials had taken the 4 & 5 year old children into a private location one at a time and interviewed them one-on-one without notifying the parents. Despite questioning the children, the school refuses to tell the parents the content of those interviews. When the matter was taken to Lynn, the district manager, I was told that when I signed my enrollment paperwork I agreed that my child could be interviewed without my knowledge. She further told me that if I wanted to know the nature of the conversation that I should ask my five year old. I find it hard to believe that in any childcare situation it is acceptable to take a child into a room by himself with an adult and not tell the parent what transpired in the room. To this day we have no explanation from the school as to what caused the dismissal of this teacher less than 6 weeks from the program end. We just know that it was apparently serious enough to warrant immediate dismissal and interrogation of all the students.IF I DO NOT UPDATE THIS SUBMISSION YOU SHOULD ASSUME THAT WE STILL HAVE NO EXPLANATION.Additionally, there were several instances in which my son was injured at Childtime and no one had any information on how it happened. In fact, on one occasion I found a muddy and bloody shoe print on the side of my sons head when I picked him up. He said that it had happened before lunch (I was picking him up at 4pm), but when I approached the teacher in charge at the time (a woman who I did not know because she was not his assigned teacher) she did not have any idea that he had been hurt. On another occasion I arrived to find that my son had a bloody nose and the teacher in charge (yet again a different person than the assigned teacher) once again had no idea how it had happened or that he was even hurt.At best this place is poorly managed by inexperienced staff and it is an unsafe environment. Dont be fooled by the illusion of a smiling face greeting you at the door.

We toured today. Ive already called licensing. As a parent on a tour, I witnessed a teacher grabbing a kid, and yanking him, by the arm, into line. When We were in the process of storming out, the director called licensing ahead of me, I assume to warn them that the incident had happened, and it was nothing. Not only would I never send my son here, the director who was there, and that teacher, should both be fired.
