The whole school has had head lice from the beginning of the school year 2017/2018. But of course they could careless to address this Infestation of head lice. I have had to treat my child 8 times with over the counter medicine as well as two prescriptions from our doctor and still there it is again. I have even called the school for a straight week with not one call back. Just to ask what the policy is when your school is infested with lice and all children have it. Finally I just talked to the lady at the front deck and she informed me that they don’t do anything for middle/ highschool students. WOW😲!!!!! What can I do to get them to clean this mess up that they don’t see as importance?? Please help me get the school to want to get rid of this awful parasite 🤔

This school is very s*****!!! There teachers are horrible people! They do not do nothing about bullying! Ever! This school should be shut down!

This school is a public school. I have been here for 10 years. Excellent staff and activity. Im am in eighth grade and am looking forward to graduating from vandy!

Vandy is a joke. Only a handful, maybe 4 teachers in my whole school career here, have actually attempted to enforce the rules. The school only gives a rats tail about the students who participate in sports and earn them more money and trophies to showcase. If you don’t participate in any sports, then forget having any sort of support. Most of the staff have bullied students and encouraged their bad behavior as well. Their “anti-bullying” policy is a joke. They rip up any reports that make students from the sports teams look bad. And the principal and VP are a joke as well. Constantly have a disgusted and inconvenienced attitude when coming to them with a problem. Also, forget trying to go straight to the school yourself, they’ll laugh in your face. And if you’re physically assaulted by another student or a group of students, somehow the cameras are always conveniently “just out of range.” Even though there’s tons of them all over. Conveniently all of the bad publicity gets deleted from their reviews. Had an interview done by the cit pat about the bullying I endured here and the reporter himself told me that they’re paid to keep VCLs name out of the paper as much as possible. Honestly this school just needs to be shut down. Makes TA Wilson, da Vinci and ParkSide look like elite academies for the best of the best.

Its not a good school, and theres only a couple of adults that are doing their job! Most of the adults choose favorites and takes their side over a good student

Some of the staff are mean and they dont help you sometimes. They dont care about bullying. They only care about there football,basketball, and cheer. They care about people that is doing sports. If your parents graduated at they and tou go to that school people will like tou and if they did not then then will just bully you. I would not let your kid go to vandercook lake school.

I have gone to school her for nine years... Im in 7th grade and i love the kindness by some of the kids but the rules r not A+ should i say.

Very interesting could have done better at home school never went to carear center would have been interesting more but needed more help in my studies also think i earned my vandercook jacket and hats vandercook needs more sprit sports wise and band so band can go on trips and rep. School both schools tennis courst need work colors could do and updates new couching stuff and times you can pick up hats jackets and other clolthing and reunion stuff directory for students newspaper current thank you alumni class of 69-70 cindy culver love our school

Staff unwilling to go the extra mile for kids. Staff picks favorite students for preferential treatment.

LOVE THIS MIDDLE/HIGH SCHOOL

The people there are mostly all stuck up, the administration doesnt enforce much of anything, the only reason this gets two stars is because of a few teachers that actually enforce the rules.
