Except for getting the Good Ole Girl network, the hidden gender bias that all men have always dealt with, everything else was excellent.

This is my first time back to school in many years. I came to find out a few things and try to obtain my books for this fall. All the individual people that I met within the school were very helpful and friendly. I am definitely glad to have chosen this school to return to.

Great way to get ahead. MUCH less expensive than classes at the big universities but you can still transfer no problem. Check their website- there are more than a hundred programs to take full time or online and evenings/weekends- convenient!

It’s good to have vocational education in the urban core but the buildings all look the same and are pressed together so it’s a brown Mario brick blob and it’s in the historic Irish neighborhood of Redemptrist Parish so... how many apartments, shops and houses were demolished?

I love this college. Most of the professors are very caring and are there because they love to teach, not just for the money. The student body is a little older, but serious about their education and furthering their career. Great price, value and they are accredited. I wish it was a 4 year school.

Spring semester 2018 was my first semester at Penn Valley. I really enjoy being a student here. They have a lot of helpful programs for students and the staff here are very friendly and helpful. And Students can ride the metro for free with their student I.D ! I love Penn Valley !

I would like to put 5 stars to the academic advisors because there kind and make enrolling painless. The campus it self is great. But the schools book store on the other hand is hell and gave me poor customer service because they never explained about there separate book policy instead of the general 30 day policy listed on my receipt what a scam.

I wont be recommending this school to anyone.. For several reasons I was looking into going back to school (nursing) I have a bachelors degree and was wanting to start nursing as a second degree. I went to Penn valley to an advising session and I was told only a few classes of mine would transfer in and that my chemistry was not equivalent.. said advisor told me he would talk to the nursing advisor to verify 100% that the chemistry would transfer. The nursing advisor emailed me and said chemistry was infact equivalent. The next step was to take mcc entrance exam and the teas test I took the mcc exam and the score I received did not match the scores on the form the nursing advisor sent me. Because of this I had to retake a portion because I had been studying for the wrong version of the test. No where was it stated which version Id be taking. So I took the portion again so I got that out of the way. Next was the teas exam I took it and passed. Applied within the timeline was waiting for a response on whether I got into the program or not. I received an automated response saying that my application was denied because of missing teas scores. I emailed the advisor about this because I took the teas test at one of the mcc campuses so they had my scores.. and getting the nursing advisor to respond either through email or on the phone was always an issue. He told me that it wasnt my teas score that made me incapable for starting the program it was in fact my GPA wasnt high enough. Just hope this situation doesnt happen to anyone else...

The staff works hard to get the ball rolling, but Im afraid a lot of the students come to school expecting zero hoops to jump through. Students need to realize that there is so much that needs to be done to prepare for THEIR OWN education and getting frustrated for our lack of preparation as students does not mean that frustrations need to be directed toward the staff. Most loans are Governmental and if you have never dealt with the Government on ANYTHING - you are in for a rude awakening. KUDOS and thanks for all the staff at Penn Valley - I know you all dont hear it enough - so my first ever Review posting of this nature goes to you all in our overworked and underpaid educational system!!

I do have to praise Penn Valley for a situation that had occurred with one of my classes. The instructor we initially had showed up hungover the first two days of class (almost reminded me of Jack Black in School of Rock). He bragged about how he was a veterinarian and held a doctorate and just his overall attitude was more of a washed up rockstar than a doctor. Thankfully, Penn Valley handled this situation quickly and fired this guy and hired a pediatrician, who was a fantastic teacher and seemed to care about his students’ success. I’ve had several other fantastic teachers here, as well. The campus is easy to navigate and, for the most part, very clean and near Westport, so it is easy to find something to do if you have a long period between classes.

Such a disappointment that a handicapped person can not park in there handicapped spot, because students that didn’t find a parking spot find it that it’s okay to park at a handicapped spot. That should be respected. Handicapped spot was made for those that actually need them, not a student who didn’t find a spot and thought it was okay to part there. This is an everyday thing, not just a one time thing. I come everyday to drop off a student, so I see it all the time! Just a no for me!

I like MCC Penn Valley because its like a 2-mile walking distance from home... if youre not highly Advanced in certain subjects I wouldnt suggest summer school... because its like 16 weeks crammed into 8.. it was totally off the hook... I would recommend summer school to anybody who wants to advance their education... and fall and spring semester also...

Very disappointing experience at the enrollment centers. Ive been to the Blue River and the Penn Valley campus and the academic advisors do not live up to their titles. Im trying to go back to school to better my situation, I havent been in a school setting in over 8 years I need direction and guidance and I was treated like I should know how the class schedules work and how to get myself enrolled. I was mislead on the prerequisites for the program I was interested in. I was given the run around going from person to person when I even selected that I was there to meet with an advisor right from the moment i signed in. College is intimitading and even more so when youre going back after so many years of being out of the game. Have some patience and compassion. To you advisors, you do this everyday its second nature but you have to remember its someone elses very first time and we are all lost on our first day. I wish any future MCC students a better experience than I had.

First of all, im new to this country and i have learned English at my home town, Penn valley community college should help students that are international students which is not the case for me( they didnt help me at all), i am having the most horrifying experience with them, their staff doesnt know anything about my case and when they transfer me to miss boby she doesnt wanna talk to me bcz she thinks Im not an international student no one explains anything to me, i was really clueless for the past 3 months. im trying to enroll and i needed my high school diploma to be transcribed, and im waiting about a month now and it only takes one week for them to do it, but the problem was the employee i gave my high school diploma to she didnt send it, and right now i have to wait one more week to be able to enroll in class, and i didnt even mention the horrible experience that i had with their phone customer service. every time i call they transfer me to the wrong people and then they hangup on me, they dont know what Im trying to tell them, they dont want to even understand my problem, no one is helpful no one cares no one cares about student problems, and Im just thinking why the hell I wanna study i should just site at home rather then to deal with all the horrible things i got to go through, i hate this college i dont think i will ever be happy in this college with their horrible staff.

The exhibit featured interpretation of the works and methodology by featured artists, Cheryl Toh, Heinrich Toh, and Bess Duston. Mrs. Duston gave a very informative presentation of the exacting process involved in her serigraphs that included a notebook with each step of that print-making sequence for one of her presented prints.
