I have been taking my daughter for about a month and a half. I have never felt more comfortable when dropping my daughter off to her teachers. I love getting pictures and updates about her day, seeing in those pictures the teachers are engaged with the children. Everytime I come into the building, a teacher or staff member is always there to greet you and ask you how you’re doing. Such a great place, 10/10 would definitely recommend!

My family and I recently relocated to KC a few months ago. Picking the right daycare for our son was by far the most important task on our list. We are pleased to say we made the right choice! Canterbury Academy is an amazing place! Very clean with great staff and very welcoming.My son has been going to Canterbury Academy for some time now and has shown great improvement in his speech and problem-solving ability. I couldn’t ask for a better daycare! Canterbury has an amazing staff with so much heart and a caring mindset. The teachers make an effort to engage the kids and develop them in a very individualized way. The management is committed to providing a safe, fun, and loving environment.We’re very thankful for his teachers Mrs. Brouse and Ms. Melanie. The Director of Holly and Assistant Director Paige cares about the children and works with the parents. Holly has a passion for what she does and it shows daily. I would recommend this daycare to other parents.

I have worked at Canterbury Academy for just a short while but I feel like I am part of a team. I just want to thank BOTH Holly and Lori for not only being such great directors but just caring people in general. They genuinely care about me, my health and just me as a person in general. I can honestly say this is one of the few places I’ve worked in however many years I’ve been in this industry that I’ve been cared about by my directors. I’m not just a number to stay in ratio, or just a staff member but a teacher who is cared about and I greatly appreciate that 🥰. I also really appreciate them both for how much they care about my son Mason who attends in the 2 year old room, it truly warms my heart ❤️

I have had 2 children attend Canterbury over the past 7 years. I highly recommend Canterbury. Holly and the staff are amazing. They truly care about the quality of the education and the health and well being of the kiddos. The school offers daily lesson plans, great communication, healthy lunch options, and a genuine caring atmosphere.

I cannot give enough praise to the new director, Holly. She came into her role as director at this location mid-pandemic and had a huge task to undertake. She has done WONDERFULLY to get the school organized, updated, and keep parents informed. I feel so confident in the care and education that these great teachers are providing my daughter and have really enjoyed all of the positive new changes Holly has made.

My son attended Canterbury from when he was 3 1/2 months until 13 1/2 months old. As a first time mom, I got a lot of great ideas early on from seeing pictures on their app of him engaged in different activities. Holly and Lori work extremely hard and you can tell that they genuinely care so much about the kids. There did seem to be a lot of staff turnover during our time there, so the communication could be a tad spotty, but overall our experience with all the teachers was very good. It made me so happy when they sent him home with art projects and whenever they took a picture of him smiling. Also, the kids are provided with two snacks and a meal each day, so I feel like the tuition is very reasonable given what is included. The facility is professionally cleaned on a daily basis. I would definitely recommend Canterbury Academy - Briarcliff.

EXCELLENT -My family & I recently relocated to KC a few months back. Choosing the right daycare for our 2-year old is just one hectic part of moving in general, but by far the most-important. We checked a few high-reviewed options out, but felt most comfortable with the staff & setup at Canterbury.Safe to say, after four months we could not be more pleased. He loves his teachers (Ms. Tya & Ms. Taylor), and comes home with new art all the time. He is learning new words, and clearly has developed faster at Canterbury than any previous daycare/school. He rarely has an incident report, and is genuinely excited to get to school each day - Ms. Martha & Ms. Judy are always happy to see him arrive! We get constant updates each day on the school app, and the school is incredibly clean & well-kept for a daycare. You never see Canterbury have an off-day, be it the facilities or the teachers, who always display incredible patience.Ms. Susan & Ms. Megan run an incredible program at Canterbury - I have seen them bring treats to their staff multiple times, as they keep tabs on them during the day to keep them working at their best. Susan & Megan treat us like family, just as they do my son, and my son is better at home thanks to their care during the day.

We started our 3.5 month old at Canterbury recently at have had a great experience so far. In a weird/scary year with lots of unknowns, they have made us feel very comfortable with all the COVID precautions they have taken. It was hard to leave our baby with new faces, but the experience couldnt be better. We get lots of mobile updates on the KidsReport app, and they make sure to keep baby on a good eat sleep awake/play routine, plus lots of enrichment activities as well to help his development. We are glad we chose Canterbury and look forward to our continued time there.

Both of our children attend Canterbury, with our newest addition just starting at the beginning of the year. The child development curriculum has proven to be very adaptable and beneficial for our oldest, 4yo, and the care toward our infants routines has just reiterated why we place our trust in the kind and professional staff at Canterbury. Our family has experienced great attention toward our childrens care and if there has been an issue, such was addressed with the teacher and director immediately, re-emphasizing they truly do care about our childrens safety AND development. There is no greater recommendation Im able to provide than to inform you both of our children continually attend Canterbury Academy.

Our family moved here from NC about 8 months ago. We looked at a few daycare options and luckily Canterbury Academy had an opening. We were happy with our previous daycare, but Canterbury has exceeded our expectations. The class sizes are great, the curriculum keeps our daughter engaged and excited to come each day, and everyone from the director on down really seem to care about the children. My wife and I had noticed that the food options weren’t as good as our previous daycare, but recently a new chef was hired and the food options are now the best we’ve seen anywhere. All things considered, we couldn’t be happier with Canterbury Academy.

We feel so lucky to have found Canterbury Academy after moving to Kansas City! Our daughter loves going to school each day and always comes home having learned something new! Great, happy and caring staff. Love the theme filled weekly activities/learning and appreciate the flexibility and limited holidays/snow days. Huge!

We have been at Canterbury for four months and my two year old daughter LOVES it! The facility is always very clean. The communication between parents and teachers is wonderful. We are thrilled with the sensory and art projects we see our daughter doing. We are so happy to see the balance between learning time and play time. Canterbury is helping our daughter learn and grow. I have a peace of mind each day knowing my kid is safe and sound at Canterbury. He started when he was 11 months and he is now 3. We love the teachers there and the impact they have had on my son. They are welcoming and patient and make my son feel safe and cared for which makes him love going to school. My kid loves to learn and loves going to school! That is all I can ask for!

There are several excellent teachers at the school who are clearly committed to early childhood education. These teachers are the main reason we have stayed with the school. The facility is also clean and largely well maintained. Our daughter has attended CA for almost four years and we have seen quite a bit of employee turnover. For example, directors never seem to last more than a year or two. The lack of strong, consistent leadership has been a bit of a concern to us.

My son has gone to Canterbury for 5 years! Me and my sons dad loved his teachers! He has now gone to kindergarten and his teacher said he has learned a lot and very smart thanks to Canterbury! I wouldn’t have picked any other place! The director Megan and Susan are awesome as well and always very helpful. I recommend this place!

Our whole family loves Canterbury Academy. We moved houses and schools and the teachers and staff have really worked with us and helped make this transition as smooth as possible for our daughter. She loves the teachers and entire staff and they have such fun activities. I also love the communication between the parents and the teachers/staff. It has been a great experience for our daughter. I absolutely loved Canterbury Academy of Briarcliff. This organization was so organized, the staff was so amazing and warm-welcoming. I’ve seen my child grow so much within the first month of attending and would highly recommend this school to everyone!

We have been at Canterbury Academy Briarcliff for over three years and have been incredibly pleased. Our daughter is over prepared for kindergarten, the directors are kind, teachers are nurturing. There was a time when turnover seemed to increase, however, with the exception of a few people, I felt it was for the better. I’ve been here for 5 years and always feel confident that my children are cared for and safe. The facility is clean, secure and a great environment for kids. The reliability of the daycare being open consistently and having very few snow days/holidays is a wonderful element for busy/working parents.

We switched to Canterbury at Briarcliff several months ago and could not be happier! I was so worried about my boys having a rough time with the transition, but the teachers and directors were so welcoming and accommodating. I love that I get to see a classroom teacher that is with each kid most of the day at drop off and pick up, and get communication via an app about their activities throughout the day. They also LOVE the TOTKids basketball program! Both boys are so happy and thriving there!

My son has gone to this school since he was about 2 years old. I love the teachers there! He really grew attached to them over his time there. They really care about the kids and they teach them so much. My son comes home telling me about Martin Luther king jr, outer space, showed me the pet caterpillars they had so they could watch them turn to butterflies etc. They have little sport activities for the kiddos to be in, and water play day in the summer time! So glad he came to this school.

Have been using Canterbury academy at briarcliff for the past 4-5 years with my three children. I have never had a negative experience in that time. My kids love the staff and teachers. They are always providing fun activities and a top notch education for the age group.11-6-18Just wanted to note how well of a job the school has done decorating this holiday season. We have been taking our kids to Canterbury at Briarcliff for several years. We continue to be pleased with the level of care and education our children have received. The current administration and teachers exhibit a high quality of care and welcoming environment.

Canterbury has been a wonderful place for my two girls (ages 2 & 4). My older daughter is autistic and the lead teachers have been so understanding and loving towards her! If she needs a little time away, Michelle (the director) will welcome her into her office to let her have some one-on-one time and space. Both girls LOVE the FitKids music programs, too.

Were very pleased with this school. The wonderful teachers at Canterbury make all the difference. They great us happily every morning and make learning fun for the kids.

I would recommend Canterbury to any parent in the northland that is looking for a safe and clean place for you child to learn and grow with other peers. My son had attended three other schools in the area as an infant, and we finally landed with Canterbury around his second birthday. He begins his first day of kindergarten next week and just turned 6.The staff at Canterbury provided a safe and fun environment for him to learn the early skills needed to socialize at a higher level with peers and adults a like. He is also extremely prepared for kindergarten and could have attended last year based on the way in which they prepared him. We simply chose to keep him back as he is a late July birthday.My experience with the directors has been positive. I have seen other comments about turn over, which is valid, but I will also point out that every director was extremely positive for the school and the turn over did not appear to be performance driven. They have always been eager to assist when Ive needed attention and quick to support any concerns I have had. I have also had very close relationships with many teachers at the school as they have cared for my son in a manner that any parent would hope for. Investing in his success and truly understanding where they can best support him as he learned to deal with difficult situations with other students and school work.Overall, I cant imagine that there is a daycare in the northland that would be better suited for my child. I am thankful that we found them as early in his development as we did, and happy that he got the opportunity to stay with this school until he started kindergarten. They are education, socialization, and relationship skill driven, which is about all you can ask for from a daycare for young children preparing for school life.

There has been so much change at this school! The Director who was there did a great job (Michell) I had my son in Europe and miss Jennie left, miss Norma and I heard other teachers left like Julie who was great with kids and parents! Now Michelle has left..????? its a great day care but the teachers seem not happy!

Our daughter has enjoyed Canterbury since she went there at age two. Brooke, Kelsie, Cari, Robynn, and Susan have been amazing and we are forever thankful they were a part of her early schooling. Now in the pre-k program and soon to move on to kindergarten we are confident she is ready. Environment is safe, clean, and fun. So glad Canterbury became part of our lives. Highly recommend it to others in the northland area for daycare and pre-k!

Canterbury at Briacliff is great! I had my son since a baby now leaving for kindergarten! Am so proud of the teachers most especially miss Susan is agreat teacher! She has taught my son so much and now ready to go! Thank you guys!!!

Our child has just started at Canterbury Academy at Briarcliff and we have been very happy with the staff and his teacher. You can tell that the staff truely loves what they do and care about their students. Ms. Hanaa, my sons teacher always takes time each day when we pick him up to tell us how he did and what his day was like.Thank you Ms. Hanaa and the rest of the staff at Canterbury for providing such a warm and welcoming environment for my child to learn at.
