What a great daycare/preschool! Several years ago, as I anticipated becoming a parent, I visited a number of daycares. When I toured Rising Sun I knew there wasn’t another place I wanted to send my kids and started praying that there would be an opening when I needed one. As Megan the owner showed me the facility, I was immediately impressed with the rapport she had with so many of the kids. You could tell they knew and enjoyed each other. A year later I had the opportunity to join the RLSC family and it has made a big difference in the life of my family. My son has now been in 4 different classes there, starting with their Ocean class and moving forward. We’ve had an outstanding teacher in each class level sometimes more (such as with his class right now). He loves their outside play time, especially during their water days in the summer! Jessica the director has been invaluable answering so many questions along the way and/or directing me to other resources as needed. The daycare has worked with us as we sorted through food allergies and has made a safe place to call “home” during the business day. With a couple of changing life situations, we need to step away from Rising Sun for a season, but my hope is that we’ll be back down the road! We are thankful and appreciate all that was part of this season and will truly miss so many of the teachers, staff and students.

My son attended this place about 4 years ago and he didnt stay long. During the summer in over 100 degree weather they forced the children to stay outside despite the children begging to come in. Not only that but I saw the children drinking out of the WATER HOSE smh. They forced the children to do 80%of their job when it came to cleaning up. The building smelled light urine everything you walked in and the last straw for me was the reports that my son was being hit a physically . On several occasions I would pick up my son and the staff wasnt even watching them. It was clear how children were coming back home bruised up. I left immediately.

I am absolutely impressed with this Daycare. The owners and Teachers are extra Ordinary, they go above and beyond. It is a very spacious, clean and organized environment and makes for a fun and great learning experience for all kiddos. If I had more babies I would definitely choose Rising Sun for their afternoon adventures while I’m at work. ❤️

RSLC has wonderful administration and staff. They are professional, knowledgeable, and caring. Megan, the owner and director, puts her heart and soul into making the school a safe and loving place for children and families. She is an advocate for quality early learning not only in her own school, but regionally as well.

Rising Sun was there when we needed a daycare ASAP. My infant learned to sleep well there and would come home happy and content. Megan and Jessica are great to work with and very responsive when I had some questions about communication in the beginning.

We loved the RSLC staff, they treated our little one like he was their own. They were extremely professional, flexible, and safe throughout all the Covid issues, and were able to stay open when many other facilities shut down completely. Thank you RSLC!

RSLC has been a great fit for our family. My daughter has been with the facility for almost 2 years now and I couldnt be more satisfied with them! She gets a great education all while being very loved by the entire staff!! This facility is more than just a daycare, they make sure you feel like family and make sure your babies are being cared for. I have always felt that the kids are their number one priority!

Horrible! Horrible! Horrible! The worst daycare on this planet, my kid kept getting hurt from them. If your babies are under 2 and cant talk yet, DO NOT send them there! They drag your kids like treating animals, my baby cries out loud every time he sees his teacher like seeing ghosts, refuses to go there and no longer happy.

My son went here for 2 years and we loved it....it’s been a year and he still talks about what he learned and things they did with him. When he went to kindergarten he was over-prepped and ready to go. The owner is professional and it is very apparent she is invested in her business. The care the teachers provided was genuine and it showed. I recommend this learning center, which means alot coming from me as I had bad experiences with other pre-schools and can be confrontational when it comes to my son. We never had an incident here once.

Im not only a teacher here but my children also attend. Mrs.Megan and Mrs. Pam are some of the kindest ladies I know. I love working here and love seeing how much my children learn each day. Mra. Pam makes sure there is a strong curriculum for each class. And Mrs. Megan knows each child by name and shows them each special attention.Another thing I love about this place is we are a family. These ladies are some of the kindest and most generous people I have ever met. They not only show love to the kids but they also show love to the staff. I have gained not only lifelong friends but also sisters.

Shes also great with the parents and I never feel like Im bothering her when I call to ask how my daughters day is going. Looking forward to the holiday season and the cute crafts my daughter will be bringing home!

Rising sun has been great for my kiddo! She dreaded her other daycare and would throw daily tantrums when I would drop her off and be a hot mess when I picked her up. Changing her to this center was a change that should have been done a LONG time ago. She looks forward to going and enjoys being there. The teachers and staff love on these kiddos like they are their own! Even though this place is out of my way and a little further of a drive for me, I wouldn’t have it any other way! I could go on and on! Highly recommend checking it out!!

I believe Rising Sun was sent from God. They found me and have done nothing but be supportive and inspiring to my teaching career. The kids are always showing me how much knowledge they can absorb which just pushes me to try and be a better teacher. The teachers are friendly and family-oriented within the school. Not only do I teach there, but my daughter attends as well. I am so impressed with how much she has learned and how well her teachers communicate her day with me in all the classes that she has been in. All I see in this center is improvement and as long as our sights are set on God, we have no where to go but up.

Rising Sun is THE PLACE to take your babies and know that they are being cared for by a wonderful group of women who treat them as if they were their own. I’ve had many many issues with finding the perfect fit for my family and I love knowing that I’ve finally found it. My preschooler has blossomed in the preschool program at Rising Sun and I can’t wait (well I can because gosh they grow too fast) to see my newborn grow and learn his way through the classrooms.I didn’t realize how much I loved this school until my newborn started going here. I visit him everyday on my lunch hour to nurse him in a convenient, secluded, and comfortable corner at the school. I get to overhear the conversation in the common area during the teachers lunch breaks and I’m in awe at the live these ladies have for our children. One little boy leaves every day to go to school while I’m there and every day he leaves with hugs and encouragement to learn something new and “get smart” while he’s at school. My family is blessed to have been lead to Rising Sun.

We LOVE Rising Sun. We have 3 foster kids and all have very different needs. Our older 2 kids were at Rising Sun full time during the summer when they were out of school and the teachers took great care of them. They not only managed their behaviors (and some days, they have a TON of behaviors), but they spent time holding them and teaching them/loving them through breakdowns. The kids truly felt cared for and still enjoy visiting now that they are in school. The teachers were willing to communicate with us daily so we could support from home and continue to work on improvements. Our younger kiddo has many developmental delays-- the teachers took him in and placed him in the appropriate class, so he would be among peers in the same stages. They invested in him and do projects to teach him the basics- body parts, animals, ABCs, numbers, colors, shapes-- all things we were reinforcing in the home as well. When it came time to potty train him, they were very supportive and gracious as he learned (and is still learning). Im so grateful to have found a place that supports our kids and provides the space and grace for the kids to grow, which is especially huge with our foster kids who are constantly establishing and re-establishing trust and security.

We just started our daughter here three weeks ago and cant say enough about the staff! All of the women have been helpful, understanding, and easy to talk to. Our daughter enjoys school each day, and I love the fact the Pre-K class is ran by educators just like a kindergarten classroom! She is learning so much, and we couldnt be happier with our choice! The Welvaert Family
