I mean I have been at pinecrest since the 3rd grade i absolutely love the school just some of the teachers like to pick favorites then disrespect the other ones I will not say names though. Also not that well maintained I know that doesnt make a lot of sense but basically what I mean is students can get away with stuff easily or frame other people for doing stuff also theres a little bit of bullying ive noticed.

I went to this school since 6th grade and just finished my 8th Grade year. This school treated me amazing and was a great experience and a joy to be able to attend. Although the lunch was not the best they have been improving it and it has gotten better than it was. This school prepped me to go to SECTA and I feel more than ready/prepared. Do not listen to reviews from angry students a lot of them do not realize the great help this school is. If I had one thing to complain about it would be that YOU GUYS TOOK MY FAVORITE LUNCH MINI DOGGS aka (mini corn dogs) AWAY PLEASE BRING THEM BACK EVEN THOUGH IM NOT ABLE TO ATTEND ANYMORE. All jokes consider it tho. 5 stars

Sorry about my old review it was very unmatured of me to put all the blame on the school. Sorry again but I do recommend this school to many kids, This is a very serious school and you have to put your best effort. And Im very lucky to have great teachers.

I really like this school, although there are negative things about it. We were watching a movie in the cafeteria and a teacher just sent me back to class just for talking. Me and my friend were disappointed. There are nice teachers kids really have fun with such as Mrs. Mackmin, Mr Diaz, etc. but teachers always pick favorites, and its unfair to other students. The school is pretty much clean except for the bathrooms. Toilet paper. everywhere. Most of the students are nice but the boys are bullies.The staff is nice but there are specific teachers that are very rude and picky to students.

I went to this school in 6th for a month its a rly good school and if your looking for a challenge this is the perfect school some kids are rude and can be snobbish but your gonna get that at every school the only thing that isnt good is the teachers do tend to pick favorites not all of them but a good majority so if your a a and b student you should be good if not then expect to not be the person the teacher will praise they will still help you tho

I have gone to this school for 4 and soon 5 years of my life and it has been a train wreck, the teachers play favorites on children and if your not one of them then your probably going to fail or get a low grade in that class, the will give you detention or even suspend you for the littlest reasons such as standing up in the cafeteria to simply talk to a friend or use the restroom, if your not up to the schools standards of “excellence” you won’t be getting into advanced classes that most of the students deserve which can lead to those students who did make it to those standards and some teachers bully you for it, and if you dare complain about it to a teacher the most those students will get is a talking to and then it will repeat. Let’s just say hopefully after this year I will be able to escape from this school....

Nothing but positive experiences since Ive been here. The teachers, that Ive experienced in both elementary and middle school hold the children accountable for their work and contribution and push them to excel. I hope the favoritism accusation isnt stemming from parents whose children are not doing the work assigned and/or are behaving in class like they were raised without home training. No, theres no positive recognition to be had there if these teachers are spending too much time having to correct students who have become a distraction to others. These schools are rated 5 stars for a reason. With how the Nevada education system is, charter schools are the way to go. Improvements? Yes, thats every school. One of my suggestions is simply the school website- it should be updated daily/weekly and the information should be accurate. Links should work, and nothing should be left blank. I shouldnt have to call the school asking for basic information. It should all be transparent on the website with explanations on the who, what, when, where, why and how. Im surprised the technology staff are not more involved in keeping up with this.

It is a good school in my own opinion, for the most part the staff are nice and respectful, they help the kids and always take good care of them.My sister went to this school and recently graduated from it, she is much better academically.She did have a few problems and doubts with this school, but in the end the school over all is very good.My step-mother is also a teacher at this school and is very familiar with the students, she is nice to all the children and help them with whatever they need, but for all of the staff it could be a bit better.Even though this school has its own problems, over all its a pretty good school and I highly reccomend it for you or your child, they will have a good time and with be better academically. It is a very good school over all.

If you are an aspiring student or parent wanting to come here or send your child here. Please dont. I stayed in Pinecrest from 3-5th grade. I will admit 3rd and 4th grade were not bad. But after that, the school abandoned everything good they had going for them. There is barely any time for lunch, the kindergarten-5th grade experience only 5 min of recess, and all of the good teachers are gone. So I am telling you, PLEASE DO NOT COME TO THIS SCHOOL. I was miserable in 5th grade coming home everyday. I faked sick so I didnt have to come to this school. Please do not come here under any circumstance.

A great school. There are many one-star reviews here, and as a parent I suggest you read them, note theyre from students. Theres a handful of the higher-grade students that decided that trashing the schools reviews on Google would be an appropriate way to strike back at teachers and faculty for being too hard on them. My kid loved it there, and we only left to goto the new Sloan Canyon campus which is closer to home. Otherwise theres absolutely no way Id enroll my children in a CCSD school vs Pinecrest - theres just no comparison in the learning, class sizes, teachers, and staff. Visit yourself and you be the judge before sending your children. But the 1000+ child wait list speaks for itself.

I would not recommend this school to my worst enemy. My son attended the school and was a great student. The principal did not take any of that into consideration when she decided to call the police on my son for googling a basketball website during school hours. She assumed the website was for terrorism but it was not. He tried to explain the Google search but she yelled at him and told him she does not want to hear his explanation and contacted the police on my child. The police spoke to my son and knew immediately his Google search was completely innocent. My son was so scared and I had to remove him from the school immediately. I never received an apology from the principal. She could have done a better job by communicating with my son and look at his search history BEFORE contacting the police. My son has never been in any trouble at any school before. Says alot about Pinecrest St Rose. The leadership is horrible.

Horrible and unprofessional. If you hear otherwise, its a fake and probably from the staff, before they got fired. My daughter attended last year and this year, but will not attend again. Their turnover is astounding, and they have put charges on my account that they cant explain. Ive asked to speak to the principal or someone other than the receptionist and they block that interaction. Its like a prison more than a school. My daughter is always complaining that the teachers are rude, and in my opinion so are many of the parents Ive encountered. It is still ran by the State, and no better than a public school, so if youre trying to avoid putting your child in an LV public school this isnt the place. Zero or negative stars if possible.

This is not a positive place for anyone. It is unfortunate that administration is so unprofessional and biased in thoughts and deeds. If your child has any challenges in learning a subject DO NOT GO HERE, they only want A students. I truly believe that they are not equipped to handle students or parents. The principal has absolutely no presence and could care less about complaints or concerns. Though my recent graduate received many awards, he was not challenged and found the atmosphere of the school depressing - he is glad it is over.

They say they advocate STEAM. They do NOT even know what that means! The principal is a tyrant to students, teachers, and staff. Student success is measured using ONE system (STMath, Reading Rangers). They do NOT want kids who have special needs of any kind, especially if it hinders their fake scores. Want your kid to be an automaton, this is place is for you.

This school is the worst, extremely descriminatory. got dress coded with multiple warnings throughout the year when people were wearing things much worse and got away with it. when i got dress coded i expressed my concerns and the principal pretty much told me to not say anything since its not my job. she said she dress coded anyone she saw but nobody ever got dress coded. i was very much targeted. the staff is also the horrible, treating parents and students like garbage. dont let your kids go to this school

My son loves Pinecrest Academy and his teachers. Under his teachers guidance he has really blossomed academically and loves going to school. The administration and staff are great!

My kid attends Pinecrest Academy Saint Rose campus. It has been a hard year for her due to the fact that before she attended Pinecrest she was attending the Clark County Public Schools. The transition has been tough but indeed has given positive results. She will be attending again for the next grade level.#PinecrestAcademySaintRose

They say the charter system here is better than public school but that’s extremely wrong. I personally had a terrible experience at pinecrest st rose campus. Many of the teachers didnt seem to know what they were doing, the only teacher I felt was qualified to be there was Mr. Percy. Administration was terrible all three principals seemed like they didnt like people in general. I felt that to many accusations were made by administration through out the year. I also thought it was strange how one student in peticular got in trouble constantly but was never expelled. But a close friend of mine was kicked out after one offense. There was also strong favoritism across all of the staff. I would not recommend any parents taking their child to this school.

Pincerest Academy Saint Rose Campus is a great school. My younger sister is currently attending this school and i feel as if it has helped her so much. The teachers and staff are all friendly and supportive. I feel as if it has helped her grow as a person. Education is great. Highly recomended. #PincerestAcademySaintRose

Terrible politics. The teachers and administration bullied my little sister into leaving the school. The counselor, Ms. Barbine has iscolated and bullied her for months. She coached the other students to not be friends with her make things up about her. When filing a report against them, they neglect to return emails and use sneaky was to try to throw our grievances out. The counselor, Ms Barnbine also forced another parent to file a false police report against my sister. Which is a felony. Ms.Barbine countionuously called her into her office to yell and bombard her with false accusations and punish her for things she didn’t do, but that other students made up, per instruction of their counselor. And when my sister came to Ms. Barbine with video evidence of other girls talking about jumping her, the counselor brushed it off and told my sister that it wasn’t important. It has now come to the point where we have to hire and attourney and send letters and emails over the principals & Ms. Bucks head to get any sort of result. I would not recommend sending your children here as they seem to not respect a 0 tolerance policy for bullying, but seem to condone it and pick on individual students.

I am a student at a pinecrest St. Rose. The school is okay, at its best. Some teachers are amazing and teach the students well, while some are a little disorganized. Some amazing teachers are Ms. Parrot, Mr. Mackmin, and Mr. Barnes. Mr. Mackmin is great. He has a good sense of humor, making his class fun. Plus, he takes the time out of every one of his lunches (other than the ones for meetings) to help the students who are struggling. Chromebooks are useful but I don’t think we should be banned from using it for non-school related subjects. For example, we were told that we should write stories on our free-time but that’s not exactly school related. Additionally, student may not have their own devices at home and the chromebooks may be their only chnace to have fun on the internet. Also, ridiculous things are banned from the search. I will try researching subjects for engineering only to have over half the websites blocked. Now towards blended learning. The school changes its rules for blended learning every year. It’s required. It’s not. It’s for a grade. It’s not. It’s a bit frustrating and especially for AR reading. No matter how much reading is worth as a grade, someone who doesn’t want to read just won’t. ST Math is fun but is hard to understand sometimes because there are absolutely no words to help you and Study Island is pretty cool. It teaches you and explains what you got wrong. Now onto lockers. The lockers are useful but I wish we could go between every class and also have the choice to not have to have put backpacks in the lockers- I wish we can carry out backpacks if we wanted. I understand the fire hazard but I wish we could have small backspaces without consequences. Otherwise, the school is pretty cool. I love learning and the Chromebooks are extremely useful for research and essays. The teachers can be fun and the events can be pretty cool. I especially like the field trips and the Fall Festival.

I was a student for two years at this school and I have many concerns. There were some disrespectful and lazy teachers,the administration were not helpful, and the students were just out of control. I had a problem with one of the teachers about racism and unfairness and I reported it to administration. They assured me they would deal with the problem. They didnt do anything and left it alone. They claim to have open arms to everyone,but that is a lie. I had to deal with that teacher for four class periods in a row every day, feeling very uncomfortable. Teachers played favorites. As for education wise, in one class,everyone was either failing or with a very low grade due to the teacher being behind in the lesson plans. There were many important and useful lessons that werent taught to especially the eighth grade that they would need to know for their highschool years. And last but not least, dress code is just bizarre. Teachers will let students wear basically whatever without saying anything until their bosses from Florida would come to evaluate how good the school is. Another problem was that because one student had a problem, i was left with consequences due to an accident that occurred. And because their parent was part of the PTO,administration didnt want to lose them. Trouble always spread like wildfire. Staff always have a need to blame students for stuff 75% of them werent responsible for. This school was horrible and I came to this school in sight of good education and a great learning area, but due to the nonsense at this school, even if I wasnt in highschool and still in middle school, I would most definitely not go back, even if it was my only choice. If u hate drama, this isnt the school for u. Students like to start drama about other people because their life isnt good or they want attention. I was scooped up into drama with fake people and was struggling not to take action and show them a piece of my mind. There were many people who liked to start shi cause they think their badder then anyone else, but like I always say theres always someone more tougher then u. And that person is gonna show u up one day when u least expect it. I would advice that for future students and families planning on coming to this school..DONT. Because no one has time to deal with fake people,disrespectful teachers,and lazy administration. * P.S MR PERCY WAS ONE OF THE ONLY MIDDLE SCHOOL TEACHERS THAT WAS RESPECTFUL AND COOL. I actually had a great 2 years of attending this school. We were the oldest class two times (7th and 8th). Personally, I think some of the teachers are amazing like Mr. Percy, Ms. Champion, Ms. Lisa etc. However I did have a very stupid situation happen where my Chromebook was token away because I was looking up cars AFTER MY WORK WAS DONE since I am a car enthusiast. So make sure if one of your kids is a petrol-head, just tell them that they cant look up cars which they should allow to look up cars after kids finish their work but its whatever and over with. I also had one teacher tell me that I will never be able to afford a Toyota Supra or my dream car (which is a s14 240sx if your wondering). And that teacher actually never said anything about my future ever again when my mom addressed it. Then that same teacher actually said the work ricer was raciest, even when its not (and plus when I said ricer I NEVER meant it in a raciest way). But im not having him next year so I really dont care anymore. In conclusion this school is a good school for kids and is filled with amazing teachers. Just remember that you cant be a petrol-head in school if you are one.

The school is very bad for many reasons. 1 is because k-5 get an estimated time of 5 minutes for recess. The second reason is because all of the teachers are very strict. For example, Mr.Mackmin tells students that their assignment is Trash This will discourage the students, so they will not focus on their work.
