I could not be happier with this school, office manager Michelle was very helpful classroom instructor Keith shared a lot of his experience that made it clear of what to expect! Also my trainer Gustavo on the range showed me how to operate the truck safely he has a unique training style that will get you trained the Oldskl way (you will learn) could not have done this with out the help of these people including my Examiner Sergio who came out on Easter to give me my final exam also a special thank you to all my classmates that showed me support thank you everyone!!!!!

Training was great. Had Keith for classroom training and even though it was dry, I learned a lot. Training out on the yard was very good. Had Rafael as an instructor and honestly training was great. Both instructors were very patient and understanding with the students. I was late to training everyday esp out at the yard due to work but they made sure that I was up to speed and got my time in to practice. Thank you RTDS for all the help to get my Class A license.

Classroom setting was very informative. We watched many youtube videos to get prepared for the dmv test, many videos. I suggest you download cdl practice test apps and take the tests many times before you actually go to the dmv. You will be happy that you did. Also, while you are there, it doesnt hurt to take the duals, triples, and tanker portions of the test. They are not very long, and it doesnt hurt to have those endorsements even if you never plan to use them. The road course, and skills part of the class is really what I wanted to have under my belt. Although you can test well and grab the endorsements, driving is a different challenge in its own right. From offest to straight line backing, to parallel parking, you will have plenty of time to practice. Driving a manual transmission semi with over 1 million miles, and many different students behind the wheel can be a challenge, so you will want to practice on one vehicle and stay with that one, if at all possible, for test purposes. The pretrip has a lot to remember if you have never walked around one of these vehicles, but depending on your instructor, you should be able to have all of your questions answered before the final test. Pack your patience, as you will be with several other students, and various skill levels, unless you purchased a seperate package. I paid tuition in full, but during the class found out that there were other options available. Overall, this experience was worth it for me because I got a lot of questions answered by guys who have been in the industry for 20+ years. When it came to the skills and road test, with plenty of studying on my imown time, I felt confident and ready to tackle the roads of Las Vegas. Thanks to the instructors and staff at RTDS, I am able to start a new career in the trucking and shipping industry.

The staff was awesome, Michelle in the office was polite and able to answer all of my question. My teacher Gustavo was knowledgeable and able to break down for me what I was doing and how to make improvements. I was also able to ask questions of other instructors and they took the time to answer them as well.

I’m new to the trucking world and was looking for a school to go to and learn and get my CDL, so i found this company called them for some basic information and right of the back “Daniel the Owner” answers the phone and is really pushy and quick to get off the phone not the best customer service. So I let that one slide, whatever. Went to the DMV next day to get my permit passed it, so I called back to get a follow up on what’s the next procedure and once again “Daniel the owner” talks to me on the phone same with the same vibe as yesterday so I mention to him “I don’t appreciate how unprofessional you’re being. I’m just going to find another company that’s giving me a better welcoming.” And his comment was “Ha!, good luck” and just hung up on me. I couldn’t believe it was the OWNER talking to me like that as if Daniel is untouchable.Good luck new guys with this company. I’m taking my thousand$ elsewhere.

I had a great 4 week class with RTDS 2 weeks in the classroom with Keith, explained things well and showed plenty of informative videos. Then 2 weeks on the Test Lot with Sergio, great instructor, can joke around a little to help get you more comfortable with learning about the truck. All instructors help and if you don’t understand you can go talk to another instructor and they help out a lot also. GREAT Experience!!!

Took the 4 week course, spent 2 weeks with Keith in classroom and passed the written test on my first try!Videos and work we covered in class were relative to the driving portion of the course when we got to the range.I came in not knowing how to drive a manual transmission and Gustavo helped me learn and I also have completed and passed the Pre Trip, Air Brakes and the road test part of the exam!

Loved this school! I had a wonderful experience while attending. I am glad that I crossed paths and learened a great deal while attending the school. Great staff (Thanks, Michelle , Keith, and Mr. Aguilar / Sergio on the range!) They Really made me feel like I was part of something bigger - dare I say...almost as family in a truckdriving way ( if that makes sense) I will cherish the time I spent here...and BTW passed all courses and nailed the tests 1st time perfectly! I took the 4 week class, the first week they help you study to pass the written so you can get that accomplished. After that you study for what you need to know on the road and job. The final two weeks on the road by the time I was done I felt like I had all the experience I needed. Keith and Ali were my instructors and they were great.

I had Mr.Perry for my classroom portion, Mr. Gustavo for my driving portion of my class. My Son has been trying to get into the this school for 2 months. Michelle in the office keeps forgetting that he has already turned in all of his information causing is class to get pushed back. She keeps requesting same info over and over again. I keep reading the comments about this company. We really need some help with this situation.

I took the 4 weeks class and loved it. Keith the in class instructor was very knowledgeable and helpful with obtaining your permit and my range instructor Ali was amazing at teaching all aspects of the truck and how to drive it.

Waste of time and money! I told the people at the office what my goals were with my cdl which was to be a bus driver I went ahead and did all the the written tests and passed before class started, the first two days of class the instructor had me training in a manual tractor trailer then two days before my testing they switched me into an automatic tractor trailer which was completely a total different vehicle so I had to cram myself studying before taking the pre trip and road test thank god I had luck on my side I passed with flying colors! The following day I went to submit my paperwork to the dmv and was told I have to now schedule a appointment for my passenger endorsement which is another pre trip inspection and road test!!! I had a good job lined up for me but now I have to wait two months from now just to take the same test over again and hopefully that job will still have a position for me I just wish the people at the school told me I will have to go through this before just taking all my money and wasting my time! I would recommend southwest trucking I heard they’re more honest and straight forward and understand all the steps you’ll need

Took the 4 week program here and graduated with my CDL pretty quickly. Theyre a 3rd party tester so you only have to go to the DMV for your Permit. You take the test with them! Would recommend this school over some of the others in the area since you dont have to take the skills test at the DMV.

I just finished my time (and passed my CDL test) with RTDS and I want to get this review posted right away.The office staff was friendly and helpful, and my classroom instructor Keith was really great and made getting the permit part handled super easy pointing me at exactly what to study plus his experience.I REALLY am writing this to commend my behind the wheel instructor Raphael though. This guy was beyond awesome, with his teaching I was able to absolutely crush the test. His real world knowledge and applications he instilled in our group and his style of teaching left no choice than to succeed. I can’t say it enough as I embark on my new career, THANK YOU RAPHAEL.

RTDS Truck driving schoolThe 4 week program is awesome I obtained a lot of of useful information.the range was great ,all the instructors are very friendly great experience all the way around definitely recommend the school to anyone looking to get their CDL.

I enrolled in the school and was told there is a waiting list. MONTHS after, i still have not received a date to start and after having to leave to state because of an emergency they refuse to refund my deposit. They claim that you only get a refund if you cancel the same day and its in the contract that I signed. That is ridiculous and unprofessional, horrible way to run a business.

This school is amazing. I have zero experience dealing with big rigs so the process seemed intimidating at first. The trainers, Keith and Gustavo, will guide you the whole way through. I had no problems getting my permit then my actual CDL. Highly recommend this school.
