Im so impressed with the level of guidance and instruction at Kline Academy. I am novice at best and am participating in the Classical Painting class. The instructors give guidance but allow independence. They avail themselves for questions and whatever help is needed. They encourage learning from one another. The environment is very casual with people at all different levels which is very motivating got be around. When there is a technique that one person is in need of learning then the group as a whole will watch and learn as well. It is a wonderful find.

I have studied under several teachers at the Kline Academy and all have been excellent. Coming in with no prior experience or training in art, I have been absolutely amazed by my progress—and my friends have, too! Though it focuses mostly on classical skills, the landscape class encourages a more impressionistic style, and other teachers verge into abstraction. You could not find a better place to develop and refine your drawing and painting skills.

I took a class in Sewing 101 and its the best thing I ever did. Kelly Malone is a patient teacher and made me feel comfortable and not at all the moron I assumed I would be, trying to learn something for which I have never had an aptitude. Kelly herself is a an awesome gal and a great advertisement for the school just by force of her sunny (and funny!) personality. The Workshop ROCKS.

I took my first (of many, I think) class at Kline Academy of Fine Art last week - the screen printing basics class - and had a great time. The teacher did a great job explaining the process and getting us going. Although the class was extremely basic, it was perfect for my level (cant wait to take a deeper dive now!).Ill definitely be back for sewing classes and/or cheese making classes.

I came here with a group of 8 for a wine kit making class. It was our dear friends birthday and the whole Idea of a bunch of winos making wine was an entertaining thought. We were greeted by Scott our instructor he came with a fairly good resume. He apparently won a gold medal for some wine he made and also writes a blog for 7x7 mag. He was as informative as he could be teaching this class. We didnt actually make wine but he did go through the steps of wine kit making and we had a lot of fun doing so. We did bottle and cork our own wine which was the best part. We got to try some of the wines he made and they were pretty darn good.I would come back here for some of the other classes. Parking was a lot easier than I expected but I can see how it can be frustrating.

I love love love the concept and had an amazing class, and met great people. The entire class was well timed, and filled with great tips and resources. The only negative thing I have to bring up is the space. I get eclectic, but this is downright cluttered and dingy, and does not give the impression of a place where you would want to take part in any class where cleanliness would be an issue. Ill definitely be taking more classes here, but I hope they start to see what we see and get it cleaned up!

My team at work went for a class and it was fun. It was a cocktail-making class (Im not the target demographic) but I had fun regardless.Where it was less than a five-star experience:* There was no water to drink between cocktails. No water glasses, no pitchers, nothing.* the bathroom was really dirtyOverall: the space is nice, the class that we attended was a fun way to hang out with our work team, and the people working there seem knowledgeable, etc. But that bathroom. Ew.

I took the terrarium class here and was very happy with it! The only thing I cant understand is the price ($37 with tax for 13+ attendees.. Wow, banking!) Regardless, I do plan on taking another class here soon! Love my terrariums!!

This is a great place to jumpstart your creativity. Its more of a drive-thru than an actual education, so dont expect to master any one thing from taking a class for a few hours. What you can expect: Music, beer, mostly friendly people and actual time set aside to make something.Ive taken a few classes there and wished more than once that the class size was smaller. Sometimes things feel rushed and sometimes instructors will refer you to YouTube instead of actually teaching you, but its all affordable and all fun. You will be inspired and you will gain confidence.Nicole is the Christine McVeigh to Kellys Stevie Nicks. If you catch my drift.
