You wrote a review for Tango Lessons in LA7 minutes ago5.0 star rating10/16/2018Honestly, I do not write many reviews, a practice I should change, especially when it comes to businesses and people I absolutely love and appreciate. This is 100% the case with Ruta and Marcos at Tango Lessons in LA.I had been wanting to learn partner dancing for years, but never took the plunge. I started with these two extremely talented, patient and warm teachers about a year ago and would recommend them to anyone wanting a safe place to begin their tango journey.Their process is personal, detailed and expert. I would give them six stars, if I could!!!

Marcos has been instrumental in teaching me the tango fundamentals- including posture, embrace, walking and connection. I have witnessed profound changes in my tango skills and self-awareness thanks to having such an amazing tango guru by my side. Working with Marcos has been a true blessing and he has helped me embrace tango into my life in a new fashion. Professionally, we have explored various movement and breathing techniques that I have had the pleasure to integrate into my physical therapy practice. Personally, shifts have been made helping me connect better with myself and others. I know there is so much more to grasp and I feel lucky to have Marcos in my life to help guide me in the right direction. My goal is to break habitual patterns and develop better/more efficient ones. I continue to be blown away after every lesson with Marcos and welcome all the subtle epiphanies that continue to surface.I am extremely passionate about studying musicality and trust that Marcos has a lot of knowledge in this part of the dance as well. He stresses the importance of feeling and sensing the body and music. I welcome what lies ahead in my tango music exploration to create a dynamic improvisational dance with my partner filled with feeling and harmony. They say it takes two to tango. I think it takes two plus one. Marcos is my recommended plus one. 😊 He has been my inspiration to improve and attend tango festivals/marathons in various cities. Buenos Aires is pending!!!

I started my Tango lessons with Marcos just one month ago and I already feel very lucky that I have found the best one in LA and OC area. He is such an experienced instructor that it is always a surprise to me each time when our session is over because there are still so much to learn. He is not only knowledgeable about the history, music and style of the dance, but also an expert on techniques. Those techniques he taught are important. They helped me greatly to avoid typical mistakes. Of course Marcos and Ruta also have many other advanced students. But as a total beginner, I just wanted to say that my own experience with him made me really happy. I truly believe he is the right one out there who will lead and guide me through this journey of searching the beauty of Argentine Tango.

Ive been learning Argentine tango with Marcos and Ruta. This is one of the most creative and challenging things Ive ever tried but Ruta and Marcos make it a lot of fun. They are amazing teachers who are true mastets at their craft. When it comes to authentic Argentine tango they are absolutely the best to learn from. I never thought I would be doing Argentine tango but now I look forward to going to practice every week with them. The experience has been absolutely awesome so far and Im only just getting started. Would highly recommend them to my friends and one who wants to learn Argentine tango.

Marcos & Ruta Tango is a wonderful school in Westwood, Los Angeles. The teachers Ruta and Marcos are very attentive. The atmosphere at the beginners group class is very friendly. Each lesson has an interesting and thorough program. Its a lot of fun to learn something new every time.Marcos and Ruta are always happy to help. They try to explain every movement of tango by using simple and easy-to-understand exercises.Ive been studying for only 9 months. I consider my main achievement to be my enjoyment of the dance.I had always thought that its impossible to teach me to dance. But Marcos and Ruta showed me that even without prior dancing skills and the sense of musicality I can start dancing, express my feelings and emotions. These teachers sincerely want me to dance. Also, I think that the school gives you a lot for the money; especially, when I buy a discounted package. You can certainly pay more and get a better personal attention if you buy a private lesson.By the way, I dont need a partner to go to classes. The students rotate and somebody will always dance with me. Its especially nice to dance with one of the teachers as they can immediately correct my mistakes and show how to move better. If you want to learn to dance, but you havent decided which dance to choose, I recommend Argentine Tango.Ive already been to a few social tango events called milongas practicing what Ive learned at the classes. I enjoyed them very much.

My husband and I have been taking Argentine tango lessons for more than 7 years now with Marcos and Ruta. We have not found any other teacher or teachers that compare with these two. They dont just teach you steps or figures, but rather how to position yourself and recognize what are the possibilities for the next step being on the music and on the tempo. If you want to really learn how to dance tango, Ruta and Marcos are the best. For those of you that are thinking about Tango, as a beginner, there is no one better than Ruta. If you are advanced and want to excel, Marcos is the best.

Hummm, Tango; what a feeling, what precision... For those who really want to learn this dance dont miss the opportunity in L.A. or Orange County to study with professionals, Marcos Questas and Ruta Maria.I am amazed and delighted with improvements these two have given me to advance my salon tango! My private and group lessons have been almost thrilling because I have learned so much and all that with humor, joy & lots of concentrated effort. Learn with them and then practice, dance and practice some more and Im sure you will be happy with the results! Karen S.
