Luis was my driving instructor. He was very nice and taught me very well. He communicated and pointed out my mistakes and what I should improve on. He was indeed a very good teacher.

I recently did 6 hours with Luis and can officially say I just passed my test!Luis showed me exactly what (and where) I would be tested on and what to look out for and remember, and was very patient and helpful getting me more comfortable behind the wheel.Had some small scheduling/communication issues regarding my appointments but other than that I got exactly what I wanted at a pretty decent rate.

I had never driven before and Luis made the experience so easy. If you are looking for a driving school that is professional, gives you receipts, and has efficient instructors, do not come here. My instructor, Luis, hardly spoke English and taught through videos. He also thought that teaching meant he tells you all the things you do wrong without showing you how to do them right.If you purchase, 6 hours, they expect you to pay your full amount on the 2nd lesson leaving you with JUST their word for the 3rd lesson. How they get away with that legalistically, I have no idea.Go somewhere where they do things, the RIGHT way.

This was my second choice since EZ Will Driving School was terrible. I only used the dmv service. I just needed a car to take my drivers license. I took my test at Culver City and to be honest the instructor was ok. The rest was all up to me he only mentioned small things to correct in my driving. Overall I drive often and now what’s right and wrong so that information wasn’t new. Anyway, I passed and got my drivers license. I do suggest this place if you just want the Dmv service. If you just need a car and you can handle the rest like me you got this! Good luck! ❤️

I booked an instruction lesson along with the driving test through the royal driving school. The instruction hour was filled with poor communication through Carlos and no through run through of the rules. When I asked him questions about certain rules and turns he did not seem to answer any of them leaving me even more confused and nervous before my test. While waiting at the DMV he left the place and I was unable to get a hold of him for about 10 minutes while having to make the DMV worker at the window wait (because they need to see the person who has driven the person to the DMV). He said I would pass the test but did not even explain the hand signals to me until we were in the queue for the inspection. My friend who took the test with Carlos at the same DMV two days before me also failed the test because of unclear instructions from Carlos. I dont think this instruction lesson was worth the $200 I dropped on it at all. The behavior was highly unprofessional and to top it all, Carlos suggested that I go try at another DMV next time. I was highly disappointed and would not recommend Royal Driving School for the test.

I was searching for a driving school that take credit cards, seemed a bit dodgy that some take only venmo or zelle. i called a bunch of places and booked with one that does. the day of the test Royal showed up and i assumed it was the one i paid for, about 20 min in i get a call from a diff school saying they are there. i ask the guy is this number him ( thinking maybe his office was calling) HE TOLD ME YES! so I went with it, by time we were at DMV he tells me i did not paid pay for the lesson. Now i m at DMV I Have a driving test soon, so i had no choice. 1. the guy barley spoke English, they should ask in America do you speak English or not? 2. they should have been honest about the number. the driver was a nice guys but i would NOT RECCOMED USING THEM

Luis Castrillon is FANTASTIC! I had NO prior experience with a car beforehand and after six two-hour lessons we got it down! Luis is efficient, articulate, to-the-point, caring, nurturing. He’ll point out your errors and do everything in his power to correct them. He knows when to support you and when to challenge you. Listen to him and you will learn a lot. If you’re considering Royals, ask SPECIFICALLY for LUIS when you make an appointment. And ask him about his daughter! He loves her very much.

It was alright. During that time, I had messaged the owner a few times with couple of questions that were ignored. Ok. Now during covid, I get a new instructor. I message the day before the day we re supposed to meet to make sure we re on the same page. He never answered, didnt show. He responded a day later at night, confirming the appoitment. But it s already passed. This is rude, unprofessional and not the first time they dont communicate well. Waste of time and money. Also they tried to raise the price on me last minute.

I love this driving school. Got my permit and came to their office to sign up. I started my first lesson the next day ! Quick start :) My instructor was Ester and she was the kindest and most patient! Had good conversations and she taught me her techniques which we extremely useful ! She had a brake and gas pedal which helped me stay more calm for a just in case emergency. Ester also helped me get ride of bad habits, like breaking before changing lanes and forgetting to turn off my turn signs! Great low prices for good quality teaching ! thank you Ester :) and thank you royal driving school.

Was given a price over the phone of 240 for the hours requested and given difference price of 330 the day of driving. I even confirmed the orginal price of 240 with my driving instructor before the driving lessons. Midway through the driving lessons my instructor tells me that they needed to charge me more and that it was a miscommunication on their behalf. Thats a 100 dollar miscommunication. Not only that but my driving instructor Joshua was impatient when we were practicing driving and would make condescending remarks when I made simple mistakes. If you must drive with this school request Luis as your driving instructor and avoid Joshua if you can. Im extremely easy going, and rarely leave negative reviews for anything, but the lack of accountability and professionalism really rubbed me the wrong way.

Ive taken six driving lessons with Royals Driving School and have had a great experience. I feel significantly more confident in my ability to drive safely and have a lot more control of the wheel. Manuel and Jorge were able to successfully prepare me for my behind the wheel test in a short time frame. I started my lessons on July 24, finished my sixth lesson on August 1st, and had my behind the wheel test on August 2nd. Manuel and Jorge went through the DMV behind the wheel checklist with me(including the hand signals and all the things theyll ask you to point to in the car for the test) and explained what I should look out for while driving. When I did something incorrectly, they always explained why its incorrect and how to fix the problem ( And surprisingly remained super calm 😅!!) . Before signing up for lessons I only had about five hours of behind the wheel practice and most of my practice was in open garages. I left feeling a lot better about driving and it was well worth the investment.As a side note: Royals Driving School uses cars with both a second gas pedal and break. Not all driving schools use cars with an extra gas pedal.It was definitely a plus and gave me peace of mind. ( I was able to break bad habits such as slowing down significantly under the speed limit before I changed lanes and trying to use both my feet while driving.) Also a frequent mistake for new drivers is mixing up the gas and brake, and learning with an instructor who has both an extra gas and brake pedal can save you from a potentially dangerous situation.

I can’t recommend Royal’s Driving School and Leo as an instructor enough!! After a disappointing experience with another school, I called the school last minute to pass my exam. Even though i has given no notice, it was Easter weekend, and my exam was in a few short days, Leo worked around my schedule to make sure I got enough hours. He was incredibly patient and helpful, warm and kind, and professional. I passed my test with 6 hours crammed over 3 days. Fair prices and a great school, can only recommend!

Very unprofessional. The company sent an instructor who had an expired license to bring me to the driving exam. In the end, I could not take the exam as the DMV personnel disapproved his expired license. Worse, the next available exam slot on DMV is a few months later.The instructor Joshua was unprofessional and impatient. He raised his voice at me before the exam because he said I have too many question before the exam. So ridiculous. If I dont have questions about the driving exam then why would I use your service in the first place? He is also the instructor with an expired instructor license.
