Great school with solid teachers. It was much better few years ago but many of the old teachers retired and now they have few young teachers who dont have lot of experience.I still think its a great elementary school.

Only concerned with testing score as to keep their rating high, many teachers do not care if the student is actually learning, allowed many who needed help just fall behind. They boast a sense of community, but do not help when it comes to the most important aspect of school which is actually learning. 3 years of horrible teachers

This school has been accurately described as a gem of a neighborhood school. Castle Heights recently earned a California Distinguished School award and boasts membership in the 900+ API club. A very diverse campus with an active and supportive parent body, Castle Heights provides a very well-rounded education with supplemental programs like Science, Art, PE, Gardening, Computer Lab, and Library. The teachers are all very solid, caring, and professional individuals. We are quite lucky to have such an amazing public school on the Westside!
