Honestly this school Is the best! I highly recommend this school. Teachers care about there students. You feel the love on campus by the staff. Every school has there flaws, the students are the ones that decide if they want to take advantage of the opportunity of the free education.Highly recommend!🙌Once a saint, always a saint !Class of 2016!!

*This is a different type of community we need a different type of school here.School been around for a very long time its had different principles for the last 25 years...it doesnt have the best reputation or the grade average, its district however is not the best, it has one of the best musical Southern style marching bands around.Unfortunately there is very little I can say about the academy side as this is a new disaster waiting to happen. The area/community is what’s making this school stand out as one of the worst.High crime rate and the lack of LAPD support this also includes the city of Los Angeles public schools system. *I believe this is a charter school now that falls short of any outside help.What can you say?This place needs better management and more money. No one is taking time to talk to these kids about there future and job planning after school is done.If these kids don’t have the best scores they need teachers that will encourage them to see pass that and focus on alternative skills, social media, general labor, joining the fast growing domestic workforce that just needs general knowledge of academic life, for instance getting a G.E.D after school is over is not a bad thing some kids aren’t ready to pass there senior because for home lifestyle and community crime... not every kid will graduate, and Not every kid will be an A+ graduate, they have to talk about this inside school and not after school. Kids make a lot of mistakes growing up around this unhealthy community. They need to be getting weekly mentoring. And have after school programs to keep them out of the streets...Everything I just said has been tried before in the past, with pressure and has been executed poorly.*This is a different type of community we need a different type of school here.

I graduated here the teachers really care about their students not only that its a charter school so its not run by the district the foods pretty okay as the lent students eat some of the food before they give out to the rest of the people and taste test before they choose a supplier I wish more schools would do this

I used to attend this school back in 2006 and trust me.. it was living hell.. I dont know how it is now, but it still looks like hell even though its a Green Dot..

I have no fond memories of Locke and no good comments because when I went to Locke I didnt know any English and no ESL teacher could teach me well Igles learned a little but not enough as a result I couldnt pass the California Exit exam and I graduated without a diploma if you can tell that I was a graduate I suffered a lot trying to pass that exam in high school and nobody could tell me about the only teacher that I remember is Ms Velazquez she was good in her subject from the others nobody I hope that this school is really changing for the better and there is not just a costume to attract parents and students to enroll in this school.
