When I took my son to his first karate class at My Gym, he was 4 years old, and since then each member of our family followed in his little foot steps (adults included) and joined the My Gym family as martial artists. My son is now 16 and he’s almost a black belt. And I have received my black belt as an adult after 7 years of training. There is indeed a sense of family at My Gym. Owner Mr. Meltzer is a passionate teacher who cares a great deal about his students. And this feeling of tight community at My Gym is proved in the fact that, after receiving their black belts, many students have been known to return to My Gym as martial arts trainers to help teach the next generation of little ones. I love this place! Besides from being a caring environment for kids, it’s a top notch and well maintained facility. My Gym is a gem!

My children have been karate students for many years here now. Robert and all of his staff are wonderful instructors helping their students be their best during their journey - keeping them on track while being adaptable to the student as an individual. The program is well rounded and very accessible as our schedule is ever changing. Their adaptability to the pandemic has been outstanding, helping keep my daughter moving to successfully complete her black belt through the chaos that we all went through. They are there for the whole kid and if I decided to learn karate myself, it would be with My Gym.

We love this place. The teachers/coaches are so dedicated to the kids. They know every childs name and make it a priority to know their personalities, as well. Mr Meltzer is an A+ communicator and extremely generous. Its been a joy watching my kid thrive here.

My daughter started at 5 years old. She is 13 now and has been studying this entire time. The karate has physically improved all of her other physical endeavors, baseball, basketball, dance, gymnastics. She loves the classes and the teachers. As a parent, I feel comfortable and informed in this community

We absolutely love The Academy of Martial Arts at MyGym. Mr. Meltzer runs a tight ship both in the classroom and administratively. My son started at age 3 1/2 and is now 7. Hes worked hard to earn up to his purple belt so far and has been lovingly encouraged and supported the entire way. The teachers are patient and care about the kids progress both emotionally and with regards to their Karate skills. They have high expectations and have really helped with my sons ability to handle frustration and I would recommend this program to any family.

Great karate classes. My 3 boys look forward to coming each week. The teachers are both professional and caring. They always look out for the boys to keep them at their best.
