My whole So Cal family went to palms elementary, then on to Culver City or Alexander Hamilton High, then on to Colleges throughout the country. Its located in a very safe and urban areas (palms, Los Angeles, California) right down the street is palms elementary (where I attended elementary). Makes it easy for siblings to connect after school. Big field in the back of the school for the kids as well the local older kids and adults. After hours locals flock to utilize this field for football and soccer. Ive seen numerous new accommodations to this school, always improving!

My daughter had a great experience and I feel is preparing her socially and academically for high school and how the real world works. I love the diversity at Palms as well and Mrs. West is an incredible music teacher.Two years later, my other daughter is here and I can give Palms Magnet Middle School a 5 star. Both my daughter are having an amazing experience. They are developing social skills, relationships, and academics at Palms is a challenge. When they get to high school, I feel they will be well prepare for any high school. They are getting a new PE field and im very happy about that. Go Palms!!!!

Too many politics. Principal, Faculty and staff need to be replaced, they have become vigilantes and have no regulation by the district. Some staff have been there since the early 1990s. The promise students items and then keep them for selective staff and they will allow parents to handle children with out* being registered through the district, TB vaccinated ( and in some cases vaccinated at all). Definitely find a different school ( even the programs dont save the children from these issues).

I really love this middle school I was really nervous when I came here from elementary this year, but the friends are so kind and the teachers care so much about us. I am in sixth grade and I love my English/History teacher. Nothing more to say but this school is awesome (By the way the Palms physical education is the best!)

From a honest point from an 8th grader this school was by-far the best experience you can learn from, its a really diverse place with a spot for everyone and you wouldnt feel left out, all my brothers went here and they feel the same way about it to.P.S for all you people who say that Its bad and A lot of rude language what do you expect its a middle school.

This school needs a little bit of help. The groundskeeper staff is completely careless about whats going on, especially towards kids that start up drama. The kids swear all the time and that makes me worried about our future, since the innocent sixth graders have to be around that nonsense. I honestly think that there should be more security for this.

Well I wont rate because Im reading these comments because I myself is looking for a better school, where I can have better and more kinder friends and the kids would talk to me. At the moment my school is Rise Koyhang Middle school. But the kids are messed up and whats more is that its a charter school! I have been suffering being alone at this school and I am very scared to go back there. I might sound like a chicken, but if you putted my shoes for once then you would understand more. Right now Im reading the comments and I might go to this school for 7th grade, since everyone is saying that the kids and teachers are great and they get great education. I hope you guys are right. My son is a new student to Palms this year 2017 and the staff there are very helpful and friendly and makes sure we are updated on all events, Palms staff makes my son and I feel very comfortable and welcoming as a new student and parent.

Has anyone in last years sixth grade ever notice that Mrs. Gipson basically hated me and her other students.Mr. Ruben also was not that nice. Mrs Igarashi and Mr. Kim were probably the BEST teachers there.

This is a very good school and the teachers are all realy great. It also gets a lot of funding from the district and we are lucky to have IPads, updated computers in the library an amazing music program and good P.E. Equipment. I would highly recommend it and the magnet program.

I love school, but my teacher ms.goldberg claimed she said something she never said. But overall its a great school.

This school is great, yes the lunch is bad but otherwise it is good.I am in 7th grade and there are some bad ppl here but you just learn how to avoid bad situation and not get involved with bad ppl. They old great music teacher just retired last year but they got a great new one! And they gave the P.E side a makeover!

I am olny in sixth grade and so far its awesome the teachers are awesome but me i havent been so appreciated to them and my family 😢but once we get back in school after winter break i will try to improve my grade with all i have

The school is over all great. With the exemption of this one science and math teacher Mr. Lawrence Ruben. Hes one arrogant SOB. Hes unfair with grading and chooses his favorites in class to pass. I helped my nephew with most of his homework and I know my science and mathematics so there was no way or excuse for him to jot understand when we took the time to study. For his science project we did everything that was asked for even after the teacher reviewed and approved the project he failed him. Just like that without an explanation. Now all I get from this is that he targeted my nephew to bully. Because thats exactly what he did he bullied. If youre children are in this class I suggest you take them out before you regret scolding your kid for their incompetence when in actuality its the teacher who is incompetent.

I just moved to L.A and go to palms middle school and in L.A u have to be rich to live there anyway the school is great

Very good public school. It really prepared my kids for high school.

Common Core prevails here (dumbing down of the kids thru govt. indoctrination of mediocrity & authority). Also, to fuel the Union coffers - they write tickets ALL MORNING and ALL DAY after school.... do not attempt to part near the school or pick up your kid(s) curbside (unless in the designation valet area.. follow the rules citizen!), you will get a ticket. Infact, if they can they will ticket you as you drive away... and youll get it in the mail.This school use to be awesome, now - just another statist agenda school run by sycophants of the state who write tickets all day. Thanks Palms!

Good school. Good teachers. Bad food

I had an unfortunately negative experience here. This school wastes thousands of minds every year. The teachers didnt discipline the kids. Lots of swearing, lots of inappropriate behavior. But if you are into poor education and exposing your children to ruffians and asinine tomfoolery, please, by all means, send your kid to this school.

This school has NO supervision and the kids start wayyyy to much drama ... I just transferred... I went there for only 5 months and its just horrible !!! There are always fights ... The dean is soooooooo Careless and Selfish.... This school needs Jesus!!!

This school wasnt that good. My son when to this school and he said that all of the teachers that he had for 2 years all werent that good of a teacher. So my son moved to another school and he said that he was glad that he switched.
