Teachers need to be trained on how to speak to parents when incidents occur involving there children.They speak rude and unprofessional. As if they were talking to thugs in the street. Along with there school police who made no sense when speaking to me over the phone about an incident he was not even sure about himself. Why call a parent and make the situation worse without having your facts straight.My daughter was punched in the face and the other student is not allowed to be suspended for it or no charges can be placed for this behavior! FYI parents beware!! They give them counseling and set a safety plan for them. This is horrible! Students are left with no real consequences!! Terrible system.

This school has very good options (medical programs) for students and going to this school will lead your child to be accepted into a great high school. But the main problem is the racism among the teachers so watch out, many students have experienced this and nothing has been done

This place isnt a place to take your kids there are many bullies and there is no respect and the teachers discriminate against there students

This school sucks I went to it for 6th grade and I made my parents switch me because this was just a nightmare they are fights ppl smoking and bullies don’t go here ever unless u are trying to get beaten up go to John Burroughs middle school they are a better school and I use to have a bad past but the consluers and the ppl here really nice and help u and the principal Dr.Martinez is a good principal 👍🏻🤪

From what i have heard feom my friend is that its a great school there are soamy great activites plus they give out great education

The only reason why Im not giving this school 5 stars because it did have pros and cons. Even though I prefer this school waaaayy more than king. I actually declined king for this school. I love the programs they offered like srla which was great. Since starting the magnet program. They have gotten waaaayy better. My tio had told me of how bad it was and it really isnt anymore. When there are fights teachers are always there. Like coach Maria is always There to break up the fights. The education was probably the best I got. 8th grade was the best year for me because In the magnet program they put you in your level which is great because I was in what was considered honors. I made a lot of great friends, had a strong connection with the teachers, had fun in class in general. They had us do projects and do a lot of stuff we wanted to do. Our voices were heard and we were allowed to do what we wanted for a project. Like a poster, paper, etc. what ever suited us best. I do recommend this school and I wished I never left sadly. This goes to the first culminating medical magnet class Virgil ever had! Class of 2k17!!!!

I went to this school and found it unfit for my level. I got into good classes and everything. One day though, I tried to get into a class and one of their administrators ignored me. Some of their students I must say cheat there way into positions they dont belong in. Lastly, it is such a shame such a school like this has students who cant really be controlled.To Juan J Rios, I really wouldnt be talking about spelling because you really dont do very well yourself, as you dont spell thankful the following way; thank full, when used the way you used it.

Well Im going here next year but in my school they say this is a bad school. My dad went here,and he told me it was a really bad school before but now its better

Base on the spelling by the previous reviews Im glad my parents moved us away from this ghetto area! Seriously people learn how to spell! Its embarrassing to write a review about a school and have all those misspellings. Im so thank full for my upper middle class education I got and that my parents moved us away from this area.

I think that it is a bad school i went there in 2015 the teachers are mean and the P.E teacher are mean too. Only Mr.Lo and Mr.Williams are the nicest out of all of them
