SCAM. They mainly want your money. They say they will make you famous. Or put the foot in the door but really all thy want is your foot in their door. Feeding them money !

This place is so clearly a scam, the oldest trick in the book. They are going to try to rush you into an enormous payment for their classes by saying they only have a couple spots left. If you want to put your child in acting classes the best studio in Hollywood is probably the Margie haber studio , it’s cheaper and actually feeds you real acting skills rather than just trying to desperately scam you for your money.

I enroll my daughter Vanessa in Los Angeles Barbizon in August of 2019. I asked if they could transfer her to San Francisco with the scholarship dance class that she has and I was told that the scholarship for dance was transferable. We finally got to get transferred to San Francisco it took a month for us to get a schedule we got the schedule all the way out to December of 2019 of this year. When we went to our first class last week in San Francisco we met with director Samantha and the dance instructor Jessica. Samantha then asked us if we wanted to transfer to the one in Sacramento because we were closer to that one. She did let us know that Sacramento Barbizon did not offer dance class but suggested that Jessica was a dance instructor will travel out here to give Vanessa classes. We all agree that that will be the best choice so she let us know she would transfer her out. Then I got an email from Sacramento Barbizon telling me that I dont accept dance and they cant accommodate her. Samantha did email me and told me that we can come back to San Francisco and she can do her dance there. I emailed her back and told her that will be perfect within 5 minutes I got a call back saying that I will be have to speak to the operation person which is Ms. Arabela,Operations Department which in turn told me that they wouldnt accommodate Vanessa dance class because of scholarship they want honor it. Only if dance was paid for she could get the instructor even though she was schedule up to December and told me that the teacher had left to Beijing and thats why they didnt have an instructor in San Francisco. So I will be having somebody investigate this matter a little bit more even if its the news whoever because I think this is not right because shes black little girl and they dont want to accommodate her scholarship dance class. And I have all emails and text messages that collaborate what I just put on here!

My daughter has improved so much in her confidence!!! She’s more outspoken, she has made new friends and she’s not afraid to speak her mind anymore. I love no matter what she’ll always be a member and anytime she needs help with couching and developing, she can always comeback without paying a fee. Barbizon staff is always welcoming! I would highly recommend this Barbizon school! Thank you so much, my daughter loves you guys!

Barbizon has been a fun and learning experience. It definitely has given my daughter a boost of confidence to her sassy ways 😁. The ladies have been professional and polite thus far I have no complaints. Hopefully this will open other windows and opportunities in the future for my daughter. Fingers crossed

We have been taking our daughter to Barbizon of Hollywood for about 4-5 months. She absolutely loves it and has learned so much. At the beginning she was very shy to talk in front of people. Barbizon has helped her overcome her shyness. Mrs.B is an amazing coach. She is very professional and wants the best for the students.

My 11yr old son had an amazing time attending his courses. He looked forward to his classes and took home very valuable experiences. His classes helped his public speaking skills.

The classes that are provided are very helpful in building your skills as an actor and have value that no other place can have. The staff and teachers of Barbizon are so friendly and helpful. You get honest feedback on your performances, great tips, and you learn new ways of doing things! Youre classmates become like family and you meet interesting new people everytime. I dont regret joining Barbizon for a second. Theyve helped me develop my skills and showed me how to get in touch with my true potential.

Amazing School. No one is born a model with all the ins and outs covered. Barbizon helps you develop, create, grow, and shine. Yes, theres a tuition, but what school doesnt have one? Actual directors and actresses are here coaching and preparing these scholars.Barbizon sits in a huge studio lot. Trust me, you just NEVER know who youll run into.

I really loved my experience at Barbizon, it was a life changing experience for me. I really grew as a person, aside from the acting and modeling. They showed me how to manage myself outside of those aspects, from the way I present myself, to writing a resume, and so on. I truly learned a lot that has benefited me in the real world. Many of the things I learned at Barbizon have really came in hand now that Im in college, employed, and still continuing this acting thing. So its something I really appreciate that I gained from my experience at Barbizon.As far as the acting and modeling, I had a blast every class! They taught me so much, they made me understand that just because Im attending these classes doesnt mean Im going to become famous. But, they did teach me everything I needed to know and gave me the practice I needed to reach those goals. From handling stage fright, from learning how to pose, finding an agent, from what to do and what not to do at an audition, managing myself, being stress free, etc. they taught me everything! Barbizon offers the training and practice you need to do so that you can do these things professionally. As of today still doing what I love, and Im still heavily involved with Barbizon, just last week I took my new head shots to start off the year. So if youre thinking about getting into acting, modeling, dancing, or singing or you want to take your talent to the next level Barbizon is definitely the place to be!!

They wanted over 2,000 for a 6 months program what a scam

Im not the type to write reviews, but I really had a horrible experience with this company and I noticed in other locations that Im not the only one. First of all, this place is really expensive, and they were so quick to take my money, and told me that I can do monthly payments or do different credit cards, they really wanted me to pay the first time I saw them. And I couldnt afford it, and so I canceled within the 10 days that stated in the contract I signed. I followed the instructions that were on the contract which it stated that after they received my cancellation within the 10 days, they would refund me, and it should take another 10 days. I waited and nothing, called and they told in a month and still nothing, second month passed and nothing again and now Im going into my third month. I keep calling and they keep telling to wait. I dont understand, they were so quick to take my money but dont want to give it back?

Before I got into Barbizon of Hollywood I had a different life experience.I have to say its incredible the changes I have made. i started back a couple months ago and I am proud to say that i have progressed so much. the instructors there make it very enjoyable and are able to take us out of our comfort zone. through out the time i have been here i have learned better communication skills, how to walk on the runway, our posture which is very important. we ha also learned how to over come our fears in front of people & much more. i most definitely recommend everyone to try Barbizon of Hollywood and a experience a life change. its an amazing feeling to see the things someone can over come(:

My husband and I loved it when our son, Nathaniel, was picked to be able to attend Barbizon Classes in Palmdale. We wanted to present him a different opportunity to learn in an working environment of how confidence plays a huge role in life. Our sons coach, JoAnn, is really proactive with all the kids and has given Nate great tips/advice in this modeling/acting industry.

I have been attending Barbizon since 2011. I have transferred from Tennessee, Colorado, and now I am attending Barbizon of Hollywood. My experience at Barbizon of Hollywood has been great. My instructor is so nice and really wants to see you succeed in the acting/modeling industry. I just recently was at CBS Studios filming Dick Clarks New Years Rockin Eve with Ryan Seacrest. It was an awesome experience, I meet so many people. My favorite part was being behind the scenes and being able to see how the show is put together. Overall, Barbizon is a great place to attend if you want to be a model/actor, or just look like one.

I went there and they charge to much now I go somewhere else it’s like 1000000000000000 percent way better they charge less and they do free headshots and they get u a agent it’s way better so I give this place not even a 1 star but I have to give a one star bye

I have had such a great experience attending these classes.Everyone says this is a scam, but its a school not a full on agency.That being said, before I graduated the course I had met an assistantdirector for a lifetime original movie that recently aired in the elevator.I had no idea who he was, or what he was doing but I talked to himabout how I was half way through with my course, and on the spot hewanted me to do a cold read for him because they were trying to filla spot for one of their roles as soon as possible. They had called meabout two days later and offered me the role.Hadnt been for Barbizon guiding me, preparing me for those moments,as well as being apart of such a great course and perfect location I wouldntbe the working actress that I am today.If youre here looking for information, you can read all the scams you wantbut theyre offering classes not spots on TV and if youre looking to furtheryour career this is the place to be due to the lifetime classes, you always needa day to touch up your talent. Even to this day actors such as Leonardo DiCapriostill see their acting coaches.

I learned so much through you guys, I a, less shy now, ave more confidence within myself, I am able to be myself and feel comfortable. I took a lot from my acting class learned how to get into character comfortably and transform into that person. Overall a good experience and will continue to go to better myself and my acting :) The only thing I didnt like though was that I always have to findout about important information through friends that went to class with me because they would NEVER let ME know I would always have to call them instead of vise versa them calling me and letting me know.

Well to let you all know what I learned and how much fun I had at Barbizon, when I first walked into my first day of class I was scared nervous and quite but as the days passed by meeting and talking to new people and being able to bring out my true personality I was happy I learned to change my emotions and to bring out a character that I was thinking of that would be mad, sad, and happy, sometimes I would act confused like what am I saying or what am I doing here but the main thing that I learned from Barbizon is that dont act like the character be the character find the character inside of you make it apart of you be in the scene make the audience feel like its all real and change it up go from a sad boy lost in the forest to a mad boy chasing away a creature that he saw and hes just angry that hes stuck there without food and without a roof over his head and then as he is running and chasing this creature he stumbles upon a road and down the road he sees lights so he is smiling and laughing and joyful .... But yes I just made this up rite now but you would never had thought that if I had to act it out or if it was a movie I am just thankful that GOD put this opportunity in my path because without it I would never have been able to be and act who I want to be in my everyday life so if you have any questions then just go to Barbizon and I or any of us will be there to help you or to show you how it really helped us, to that being said Thank you Barbizon and I will see you all again.

Barizon on a overall view has taught me alot about the industry.Sometings ill never forget that my teacher once told me is be who you are and that will lead you to success .When first attending my classes i didnt know you had to walked a certain way for modeling they taught me how to walk in two different specific ways, my commercial walk an my high fashion walk. Everytime i go to my classes i try to use my enthusiasm to help other people, but as for my self i try to learn a little about everyone so i can become a better person in modeling and acting.Barbizon is a school and everything they teach me will prepare me for the industry ,this is first step im taking to become who i want to be.
