Read the good reviews on Soriel music academy and took a chance with piano lessons for my 10 year old son who is a beginner. His lessons have been given by a kind patient and very capable teacher, who just finished her doctorate in piano. My son has enjoyed his sessions very much. From the organizational standpoint Tammy has been superb in communicating and coordinating lessons for this summer. She is clear, very fair and my sense is she really understands the dynamics of teaching youth music. Has been a great experience for us!

My daughters been learning piano and vocals for almost a year with Soriel, and weve recently started a Bookclub with them as well. The teachers are all very friendly and sweet, my daughter just cant wait to go to Soriel every time. Their director, Tammie, is very knowledgeable in the field and is able to recommend the most appropriate classes and teachers. Her ability to arrange the schedule flexibly is very helpful. Ive gave a try to multiple academies within Koreatown, however, Soriel is by far the most professional and trustworthy in my opinion. Id recommend this place for those who are looking for solid but enjoyable education.

Highly recommend Soriel. We were referred by another students family who had very positive things to say about Soriel. My 8yr old son has been taking violin lessons at Soriel for just over a year, and this is his first exposure to musical instruments. Jrs instructor is the director, Tammie Joo. Hes learned alot and improved quite a bit, thanks to the patient and diligent instruction. Shes also been very good to consistently instill positive reinforcement and praise appropriately to keep him motivated.When the pandemic broke out, we intended to suspend lessons but at the directors insistence we tried out the remote lessons via zoom. We had our doubts that it would be effective considering that our son had not been learning long and we felt a beginner like him might need that in-person coaching to have effective instruction. We found that even through zoom sessions, the lessons were very effective and he has continued to progress throughout. We are more than satisfied with the remote lessons and I would tell any parents considering such instruction with soriel to try it out. Its been great for us and actually super convenient.As mentioned above, we are very happy with Soriel and highly recommend, but perhaps its more important to share that my son loves it. He takes great pride in his improvement, and enjoys very much his lessons with Tammie & Soriel.
